As Alex heightened her desire with the movements of his
skillful fingers, Tiffany began to writhe beneath him, seeking fulfillment for
the growing need, the ache in her loins that was both pleasurable and painful
at the same time, which demanded to be assuaged.

Pushing her closer and closer to the edge, Alex stroked
Tiffany’s sensitive bud with his thumb, as his finger continued to slide in and
out with a steady rhythm.

Tiffany tensed then, feeling her body go taut as wave after
wave of pleasure washed over her.

“Alex,” she cried out as her shattering release sent her mind spiraling
out of control.

Lost in a haze of carnal
delight she was only vaguely aware as Alex pulled her chemise up and over her
head, tossing it aside as he bared her to his ravenous gaze.

“So beautiful,” he murmured, as he gazed upon her naked
breasts.

Then dipping his head, he
pressed his lips to the tempting mounds, placing little kisses along the plump
flesh and then swirling his tongue around one peaked nipple and then the
other.

Nibbling, sucking, tasting, he
feasted upon her glorious bounty.

Tiffany twined her fingers in his hair, squirming beneath
him as the delicious ache began to build once again.

Positioning himself above her, Alex pressed his throbbing
erection against her pelvis, circling his hips and gently rocking against her,
before brushing the head of his rigid cock along her moist opening.

“Open your eyes, my love,” he said, his voice
low and husky.

He wanted to look into
her eyes and see her expression as they became one.

She complied at once, opening her eyes wide as Alex slid the
tip of his erection into her welcoming cleft, inching forward inch by
inch.

“Are you ready?” he asked
hoarsely, calling upon every last bit of control he possessed.

Tiffany nodded, her eyes locked on his.

With one powerful thrust, Alex breached the barrier of her
virginity and sheathed himself to the hilt.

Tiffany felt a moment of pain, but it was nothing compared
to the absolute joy she felt as she and Alex were joined in the most intimate way
possible.

“Oh,” she gasped, feeling her
muscles stretch and contract as they sought to accommodate the size of his
pulsing shaft.

“It won’t hurt anymore,” he assured her, holding himself
still as her body slowly adjusted to the feel of him buried deep inside of her.

Tiffany could see the strain on his face as he struggled to
remain still within her.

Raising her
hand to his cheek, she looked deeply into his eyes. “I know,” she
whispered.

“Make me yours, Alex.”

Needing no further encouragement, Alex began to move within
her, gliding forward and then back in long, smooth strokes until he felt her
hips begin to move and undulate beneath his.

Increasing the tempo of his movements, he was already near to bursting
as she began to meet him thrust for thrust.

As Tiffany once again felt the overwhelming need for release
growing stronger and stronger, Alex continued to plunge into her, driving
deeper and deeper into her welcoming depths, until she cried out, allowing the
exquisite pleasure to carry her away once more.

Hearing Tiffany’s impassioned cry was all it took to send
Alex tumbling over the edge.

Thrusting
forward one last time, he filled her with his seed and surrendered to his
shuddering climax.

Moments later, when
he was able to think coherently once again, he was amazed at how different
making love to Tiffany had been from any other, for not only had their
passionate joining affected his body, it had affected his very soul.

“I can feel the beating of your heart,” Tiffany said a short
while later, as she lay snuggled up against Alex’s side, her hand resting
lightly atop his chest.

“It’s yours, you know,” he murmured softly against her
hair.

“For now and all eternity.”

“As mine will always be yours,” Tiffany replied, smiling in
utter contentment.

“Oh, but that reminds me,” he said suddenly.

“I have something else that belongs to you.”

“You do?”

Rolling onto his side, he reached toward the bedside table
and pulled open the top drawer.

Watching as Alex rolled back to face her a moment later,
Tiffany’s gaze dropped to the item he held in his hand.

It was her engagement ring, the blue diamond
sparkling brilliantly as it caught and reflected the glow from the fireplace.

“I believe this belongs to you, my lady,” Alex said, holding
the ring between his thumb and forefinger.

Tiffany’s eyes were moist, but her smile was full of joy as
she once again gazed upon the beautiful ring that had been missing from her
finger for far too long.

“Will you marry me, Tiffany?”

“Yes, my love, a thousand time yes,” she whispered
emotionally.

Holding out her hand, she
knew that this time was forever as Alex once again slid the ring onto her
finger.

Chapter 22

“Are you certain you’re making the right decision?” Brendon
whispered, as he eyed Tiffany with a cocked brow and a devilish expression upon
his handsome face.

“I have a coach ready
and waiting just outside,” he continued in a hushed voice.

“If you’ll only say the word we could leave
for Gretna Green straightaway.”

Tiffany merely laughed, rolling her eyes at the charming
rogue who stood before her.

It was the
eve of her wedding day, and the Leighton’s were hosting a special dinner in
honor of the occasion.

“I heard that,” Alex said, coming toward them from where
he’d stood talking to Nicholas just a few feet away.

Placing his arm around Tiffany’s waist he
regarded Brendon with an amused, yet equally exasperated expression.

“If you do not stop trying to abscond with my
intended, I shall be forced to disinvite you to our wedding,” he stated.

“So behave yourself.”

“Well, you can’t blame a man for trying,” Brendon replied
with an exaggerated sigh.

“But as the
lady appears to have made up her mind,” he said, smiling at Tiffany, “I shall
do my best to accept her decision with both grace and dignity,” he concluded, turning
back to Alex and lifting his glass in salute.

Moments later, as Brendon walked away, Alex leaned down and
whispered in Tiffany’s ear.

Are
you certain you’re making the right
decision?” he asked tenderly.

“After
tomorrow, you shall be stuck with me for life you know.”

“I know,” Tiffany replied with a loving smile.

“And I have never been more certain of
anything in my life, for
you, and only
you
, are all I have ever wanted.”

As they stood arm in arm, looking upon the faces of their
beloved friends and family, Alex knew without a doubt, that losing that wager
to Tiffany’s father had been the best decision he’d ever made.

However, a moment later, as his gaze landed
upon the trio standing across the room, his contented expression slowly gave
way to one of dismay.

Following the line of Alex’s narrowed gaze, Tiffany had to
bite her lip to keep from laughing aloud as she saw what had drawn his
attention.

His sisters, Amelia and
Lizzie, were both standing next to Brendon Leighton with unconcealed adoration
reflected upon their pretty, upturned faces as they gazed longingly upon one of
England’s most celebrated rakes.

“Bloody hell,” Alex muttered under his breath.

The following day, as she and Alex recited their vows within
the family chapel at Chesterfield, a handful of snowflakes could be seen
falling gently downward through the narrow row of windows that lined the back
of the tiny church.

It was a beautiful
backdrop and the ideal addition to an already picture-perfect setting.

All in all, surrounded by only their closest
friends and family, in addition to Aunt Rose’s two pugs, the ceremony, as well
as the venue, was both private and intimate, exactly as they’d wanted it to
be.

And although her father wasn’t
there, Tiffany didn’t let it bother her, for these were the people who truly
loved her.

This was her family.

As they were pronounced husband and wife, it was all Tiffany
could do to keep from throwing her arms around Alex’s neck and kissing him
until they were both gasping for air.

But as she didn’t wish to shock the kindly village priest, she happily
settled for the soft, sweet kiss that Alex placed upon her lips, content with
the knowledge that their wedding night was only a few short hours away.

Epilogue

Lying languidly upon her back, Tiffany’s gaze traveled
slowly across the star-filled sky above.

“I can feel the baby moving,” Alex said, distracting his
wife from her perusal of the stars.

“Your son is restless this evening,” Tiffany replied,
turning her face to look at the man lying beside her.

They were at their country home, sprawled
atop one of the wide, cushioned benches within the privacy of the glass-domed
gazebo that Alex had designed and built for her just a few short weeks after
their wedding.

With his hand resting lightly atop the gentle mound of
Tiffany’s naked belly, Alex smiled as he felt another small movement beneath
his hand.

“Perhaps it’s a girl this
time,” he mused.

“But your son has made it quite clear that he wants a
brother,” Tiffany reminded him with an amused grin.

“Thomas is bound to be upset if we present
him with a sister.”

“Well then,” Alex said with a lascivious smile, moving his
arms to her back and pulling her more tightly against his naked chest, “if it
is
a girl, I suppose we shall just have
to keep trying.”

Tiffany emitted a delighted giggle as Alex ran his fingers
up and down her spine.

“Do you think we
shall
ever
tire of trying?” she asked
teasingly, trailing her own fingers lightly across the muscled planes of his
taut abdomen.

“Lord I hope not,” he responded playfully, brushing his lips
against the delicate line of her jaw.

Over the top of Alex’s shoulder, Tiffany noticed a faint
streak of white flash across the sky.

“Oh, a shooting star,” she exclaimed.

“Did you make a wish?” Alex murmured, nuzzling the sensitive
area below her ear.

Shaking her head, she smiled contentedly as she pressed her
hand to her husband’s cheek.

“I’ve no
need for another wish, my love, for all of mine have already come true.”
