Warning - Disclaimer

The information in the following pages is based on my experiences and my investigation into the matters discussed. As such, everything in these pages can and should be considered my opinion. I encourage you to investigate any of the facts presented here and, as much as possible, verify all facts for yourself. What I have learned and presented is supported by information available online, eyewitness testimony, personal conversations with many of the parties involved, and documented in numerous email messages (copies of which are on file.) In the course of my work on this book, I have ensured that others viewed material and web sites I located online so that, in the event that the material was moved or removed, as can happen with online sources, its existence at the time is verifiable. Questions that arise from the information presented here have been asked in the public interest and are based on opinions that any fair-minded person could genuinely hold.

Every effort has been made to make this book as accurate as possible. However, there may be mistakes, both typographical and in content. Therefore, this text should not be relied upon as the ultimate source describing the events depicted. Furthermore, this book contains information current only up to the printing date, since the passage of time may uncover additional clarification about these events.

The purpose of this book is to educate and entertain. The author and the publisher shall have neither liability nor responsibility to any person or entity with respect to any loss or damage caused, or alleged to have been caused, directly or indirectly, by the information contained in this book.

During the years I have been interested in this strange phenomenon, and as I collected the information now in this book, I have met many others with similar interests. Some of those I met, and some I have not, may never know how much they contributed to what is in this book. I certainly want to give credit where it is due and to acknowledge all those who put good information out there where it could be found. Barry Greenwood and Larry Fawcett certainly did that with the publication of "Clear Intent," a book I still recommend highly.

There are a number of friends and acquaintances who helped along the way and who may not realize how much I appreciated them being there. To all of them I owe my thanks. In the beginning, and throughout the 1980's, I had a great deal of assistance from Tommy Blann in submitting FOIA requests and studying documents to glean every bit of information we could. Those were interesting times. Tom Adams, always a source of new information and balanced opinions, also deserves my thanks. Dale Goudie and Jim Klotz of The Computer UFO Network also shared my interests, and as is always the case with good friends, their help has been immeasurable. To everyone else I have spoken with and who offered help…you have my gratitude.

I cannot say enough about Ray Stanford, to whom I owe so much. He is one of the most unique human beings I have ever met, and knowing him has quite literally changed everything. What I have to show in this book is only the tip of the iceberg.

Lastly, though he is no longer with us, I will always owe very special thanks to Paul Bennewitz for his time and friendship, for being patient with my questions, and for giving me these startling pictures of what he caught on film.
