Here...meet Roy Tucker, our right fielder, who did as much as anyone to win that game today. Shake hands with Judge Landis, Roy.”
The Kid was looking at a white-haired, elderly man with a prominent jaw. MacManus went right on talking through the confusion, one hand tapping at the Judge’s chest, his face close up to that chin so he could make himself heard.
