“Fine,” Elliott conceded, a ghost of a smile on his lips. “but why do I have to interview them too? Because I know you already have the one you want picked out,” he said and laughed at the fake innocence in her eyes. “What’s his name?”

Hannah giggled. “Her name is Lena Edwards,” she sent him a wicked smile. “and you’re going to hate her.” Elliott scoffed and pulled her to him, planting a long, passionate kiss on her lips before pulling away. “Now go or you’re going to be late. I’ll see you in a bit.”

Elliott saw her strange smile but shrugged, walking down the stairs and out to his car. He didn’t know what possessed him to do it but he glanced up toward his bedroom window and finally understood her amused, expectant smile she had given him.

A laugh came out of him, loud and appreciative.

Because there stuck out of his bedroom window was a pair of his boxer briefs.
