“Jane…please don’t tell me…”
Jane cleared her throat and said, “Albert, can I stay with you for a while?”
At first she was afraid he was going to say no, he was such a huge fan of Brady’s, but instead of turning her away and making her go back to her husband, he set his coffee down on the side table in his entryway and pulled Jane into his apartment, while grabbing her suitcases.
“You can stay as long as you need, Janey Bear.”
