Hadley increased the pace, driving into her.
She shuddered around him, her inner muscles grabbing him, and her breath came in short pants as she clawed at his back to pull him closer. Deeper.
When he felt her go, he let himself fall over the edge. His body released in long, pulsing tremors.
He knew he was hers.

He rolled off and pulled her against him. She laid her head on his chest.
“That was… I’ve never…” She pulled in a shaky breath.
“Better than the dreams?”
“Definitely.” She kissed his chest and brushed at the dark hair. “For you, everything is so different. It will take time. I know how hard the adjustment will be.” Her eyes grew somber. “I’m really sorry about your family. It must be terrible to have everyone gone.” Samantha dragged herself up his body and gave him such a tender kiss his heart broke with love. “But I’m so happy you’re here. In this time. You saved me.”
“No, you saved me,” he said barely above a whisper as the back of his fingers stroked her bare thigh. “But I have a feeling from this moment on, our lives will start anew. We both received a second chance at life and I’m not going to waste a minute of it. I love you, Samantha.”
“I think… no, I know. I love you, too.”#
Hadley cut off the rest of her declaration with a kiss that he wished would extend for eternity.
