I was shocked as hell that Mel had really just went there like that. I thought that we had moved forward enough to where it was okay to bring Renee. But, she was tripping since the first moment she laid eyes on her. Hell, Renee wasn’t the first woman that I brought around her. I knew it was because she saw that Renee was a threat.

Mel’s fronting ass still wants me and it’s so obvious. I let out a small laugh as I cruised up I-696 on my way back to Renee’s house. I quickly straightened my face as Renee looked to me. Her face was all wrinkled up and she looked so cute mad.

“What you over there chuckling at?” She hissed, there was still a hint of animosity in her voice.

“I’m thinking about how much of the shit you are. You take shit to the chin and keep it moving and I appreciate that.” I only told half of the truth. Seriously, the average chick would have flipped the fuck out on me about the Mel situation and called me all type of liars. She would have sworn I was still fucking with Mel and everything. But, not Renee. I loved that shit about her.

“I guess I have to.” She rolled her eyes. “I have to believe that there isn’t anything going on between you two until I can prove differently. And trust me negro, let me find out that y’all messing around and I’m going to Lorena Bobbitt your ass!”

I clutched my soldier at just the thought. “Damn, you gone chop my man parts off?”

“Sure would.”

“Then how I’m gone make your crazy ass cum?” I teased with a smile.

She smiled too. “My bullet and you’ll still have your tongue.”

We both cracked up with laughter. “Man, I’m not fucking with your crazy ass. Did you call your daughter and G to let them know to meet us at the restaurant?”

“Yes, they both said that 7 ish is good. And although I’m pissed, you don’t have to not get the house because of me. I know that you really like it.”

I looked at her and didn’t say a word. I was  going to call and check the shit out of Mel’s ass for the stunt that she pulled today. I would have been mad as hell if I lost her over some foolishness.

We got to the restaurant at 7 on the dot and sat down to have drinks. I ordered a Sprite and Renee got a virgin daiquiri. She stopped drinking cold turkey and it was very impressive. I didn’t want to order an alcoholic beverage knowing she was recovering.

G and Diamond came in and sat at the table shortly after us. G looked a nervous wreck. I could tell that he was just ready for a big break and that he was counting on this deal to go through.

I did a little background on him. He was a solid dude so I wanted to give him that opportunity. Actually, if everything worked out, we would be helping each other. I’d be able to play the background and he’d have his break.

“Hey Diamond.” I acknowledged her then turned to G. “What’s up Mr. Swag.” I teased. He had this cool laid back era about him. He almost reminded me of myself.

I got straight to business, sliding the envelope with the contract that I had drawn up a while back. I didn’t know who I was going to sign but I knew I was branching off so I was prepared. All I had to do was add G’s name and group to it and I was good to go.

G’s eyes grew as big as saucers upon reading over the paperwork. I had to laugh because I knew that would be the reaction. The deal wasn’t exactly the million dollar deals that I was used to signing off on back in L.A. But I knew that I wasn’t short stopping anyone and with time my vision would manifest into that caliber.

“Didn’t I tell you I got you?” I said after a couple of minutes went by.

He continued to look over the contract.
It was a five hundred thousand dollar deal with DDP records, with a one hundred and fifty thousand dollar advance upon signing. I worked it out where G would have his own label under DDP to recruit and promote artist, and I also wanted to pick up the mix tape that was presented and turn it into an album.

“I hope you not bullshitting me!” He sighed, still in disbelief.

“Why would I bullshit you? People underestimate my power and I let them. I said I got you and I meant it. Besides, you dating my future ex wife’s daughter.” I snickered as Renee hit me on the arm as if to say don’t play.

“I’m playing girl dang.” I pecked her lips then turned back to G. “So are you ready to sign your John Hancock or you the one bullshitting?”

“Bullshitting? Let me sign this damn contract before y’all change y’all mind.” G said signing the contract then asking “ I should of asked before I signed, even though it don’t matter at this point, but who is DDP?”

“Diesel Duty Publications, you the first to my new label welcome nigga! As long as you put that work in I’ma be 100. I got the connects and the money all you got to do is find the talent to bring to the label.” I explained, grabbing the contract from out of G’s hand and pulling out my checkbook to write G out his first advance check. I was so low key that no one including Renee knew that they were in the presence of a multi millionaire. I preferred it that way,  because that would mean he was less of a target.

“So how you feel? You confident with being the first to sign to DDP? If you got any doubts let me know now and we can go our separate ways” I said holding the check in the position to rip it.

“Man give me my check! Just let me know what I have to do, when I have to do it, and I’m there” G scanned the piece of paper in hand. He had an euphoric feeling fill his body.

“Like the contract says, I’m going to let you do you and sit back in the cut. I like to be low- key I don’t want niggas knowing my hand. That’s how I weed out the real from the fake. I turned to Renee “You thought I was some petty nigga didn’t you bae.”

“I didn’t care what you have, as long as I got you.”

“I know, that’s why you my baby. But let’s toast to this business move and breaking bread together. G I’m going to need you to round up your crew and get you a little building to set up your office and a studio so y’all can start making hits. Then once you get going you can start signing your artist as you see fit. Ain’t no reason we all shouldn’t be eating good in the near future.”

The next day Mel hit me up copping pleas. She apologized and gave me some sob story about why she was in her feelings, then she buttered me up by telling me that she had went ahead and booked everything with the trip to Jamaica for tomorrow.

I guess I kind of understood her position. I did play her back in the day, and she wasn’t used to me bringing chicks around that I actually cared about. Truthfully, I didn’t care this much for a chick since Tonya.

I thanked her for booking the trip, but, I still went off on her, and I still was cutting her ass loose. I wasn’t trying to deal with the drama that came with Mel. One minute she was cool then the next she was tripping. Now I was starting to believe Killz, Mel was a real live wire.

After hanging up with Mel, I hit Renee up on her cell phone. She was up at the boutique but, she was going to have to cut her day short so that she could get ready for the trip. It was a surprise that I knew she would love and the perfect I’m sorry gift.

I went and swooped Renee up, treated her to a nice little shopping trip, then I took her to get her hair, nails, and toes done. She was cheesing from ear to ear when I told her that we was headed for Jamaica the next morning. I think that if she could have put in on me right there in the department store she would have.

“I’m so geeked. I’ve never been out of America, besides Canada and that doesn’t count. You treat me so good, baby. How did I end up with you.” She asked, lovingly staring into my eyes after we had gotten back the house and was laid up in the bed.

“That fat ass, gets me every time.” I teased.

She smacked her lips. “Whatever! Let me get my suitcase packed. I’m going to Jamaica!” She screamed.

Damn, that smile that her face possessed. She didn’t require much to make her happy and I wanted to make sure that I kept that smile on her face.  Lord knows she kept me happy.

I decided that I was cutting Mel off for good. Everything that she did for me, I could do on my own, or hire someone else. Maybe a man this time, that way I wouldn’t have nobody in their feelings. Women seemed to not be able to get enough of me. But, that’s what happens when you’re the man! I mused, checking myself out in the mirror. I was definitely the shit. There’s no doubt about that.

Wow, a sister can get used to this! I thought, taking in our hotel room as we crossed the threshold. It was perfect, almost too nice. I hadn’t traveled much in my life. So to be out of the country in such lavishness was the shit!

Our room was huge and it even held a sauna-jacuzzi. The walls were a glimmering white, and there was also a rough stone fireplace to keep us cozy.

I ran and plopped down on the bed, throwing my whole body into the comfort of the sheets. Our room was the bomb. I gave Diesel a few points for his effort. He had definitely went all out and I appreciated it.

I got up to check the rest of the suite out. Diesel had gripped me up from behind and we walked just like that. We stopped to kiss. I swear the feel of his lips pressed against mine could never get old.

“Come on get dressed for the beach before we don’t make it out of the room tonight.” He said, breaking our kiss. I was fine with staying in the room. Diesel’s sex was lethal and I was dying to feel him inside of me.

“We can do that.” I told him, leaning into his embrace, my head against his hard chest.

He laughed. “Look at yo’ freaky ass. We could have stayed in Detroit and fucked all day. I’m trying to hit the beach and see some Jamaican asses.”

I whipped around and punched his goofy ass in the shoulder. “Whatever! The only ass you should be checking for is mine!” I shot, crossing my arms against my chest. I pretended to have an attitude but I was sure that he could still see the hint of a smile on my face.

“You know I’m fucking with you.” He chuckled, grabbing me up. I loved the feeling of his arms wrapped around me. I could get lost in him.

“You better be.” I pouted, as he leaned in to give me another kiss.

“Alright foreal, get ready.” He told me, letting go and making his way back to the bed where his suitcase was.

I stood where I was at and just watched him. Umph, Umph, Umph!  This man was sexy as hell and he had me open wider than the red sea.

We made our way to the beach. I purposely walked closely behind her, admiring the way that the curves of her body rocked the hell out of her two piece bikini. Her smooth skin glistened against the scorching sun, and I swear that she was the most beautiful woman alive.

“Did you hear me babe? Or are you too busy looking at all of these Jamaican asses?” She teased, throwing me a smile that was almost brighter than the scorching sun.

I looked her up and down, giving her the bedroom eye. “ Yea, I’m looking at some ass but it sure ain’t Jamaican.” I told her biting down on my bottom lip.

“But you call me a freak? Don’t be looking at me like that. I tried to let you taste it but you was playing?” She smiled a devious smile and I couldn’t help but laugh.

“You’re a trip, girl.” I shook my head. “I’m hungry, let’s find somewhere to eat. I’ll let you do that later on for dessert.” I winked at her and gave her ass a little smack. Then I guided us into a little restaurant off of the shoreline. The exotic smell of the mixture of spices had my stomach grumbling. I knew that Jamaican food was flavorful, and I was ready to tear some shit up.

After our meal, we made our way to end the beach. We trailed it until we found a spot with little to no people. The spot we chose was a ways down, and though it had low traffic, there was still a  small wooden bar off to the side and reggae music was prevalent in the air coming from it.

I looked to the bluish water. It was a beautiful site. At 6 o’clock, the sun was still beaming bright, lighting up the whole beach, and a cool breeze kissed our skin, keeping us comfortable.

“You gone get in the water with me?” I asked Renee. She already said that she wasn’t going anywhere near the ocean before we came so I knew that she wasn’t going to.

“I’ll pass. I’m not getting my hair wet.” She playfully rolled her eyes at me as I shook my head.

Women. Here we were on a beautiful island and she worried about her hair. Shit, I’d pay to get her hair done if it was that serious , I mused. “I should throw yo’ ass in the water.” I laughed. “We supposed to be enjoying ourselves and you worried about your ugly hair.” I was only teasing. Her hair was laid in a style with soft curls, but I wasn’t tripping about her hair being done. She could cut it all off and still be beautiful.

“Boy bye. I wish you would. You’re not going to throw nobody nowhere!” She smirked.

The way she scrunched her face up was so cute to me. “Say I won’t again and watch me do it.” I challenged.

She sucked on her teeth and stood there, shifting her weight to one foot. “I ain’t worried.” I guess she was daring me and I decided to fuck with her.

I narrowed my eyes to her with a cynical grin. I knew that she knew I was up to something because she began to back away.
