Smiling down at him, she said, “I could get used to hearing things like that. Tell me, has that room always been that color?”

Dax shook his head. “Kots redecorated it just a few months ago. I’ve never been sure why.”

“It’s almost as though he knew I’d be one of your passengers someday.”

“Maybe he did. He knows a lot of things I can’t explain, though most of it seems to come from people’s thoughts—their needs, wishes, dreams—that sort of thing. If I had a dream or a vision of you, I certainly don’t remember it.”

Something in what he said jarred her memory. “Oh, that’s right. I remember hearing something about Zetithians and their ‘visions.’ Too bad one of you didn’t have a vision that would’ve saved your planet.”

“No shit. The one time it would have really been useful, it failed us all.”

“What about you? Have you ever had a vision?”

“Only one that I’m sure of,” he said with a chuckle. “It was about Waroun.”

Ava burst out laughing, a response that had an interesting effect on Dax.

“Couldn’t help it,” he gasped as he ejaculated. “Sorry!”

“Nothing to be sorry about,” she sighed. “Ooo, this is gonna be a good one…”

Ava’s head snapped back as something akin to a sonic shock wave hit her from within and an aura of warm contentment filled the small of her back and grew, reaching out to the periphery of her body. Her hair coiled like thousands of tiny springs and then whipped out straight with an audible pop.

“It does something different every time,” he marveled, gazing at her hair. “But your skin is always the same. It… shimmers. It even makes your necklace sparkle.”

“Really?” Ava held up the stone, studying it carefully. She saw nothing unusual; the facets flashed fire like any other crystal. “I’ll have to watch for that next time. You do something different every time too—and some things I’m not sure about. I thought I felt it before… like there’s something moving inside me.”

“It’s, um, the head of my dick,” he said, blushing. “They—it—does that after I, um, you know…”

Ava rolled her eyes. “Not going to get shy and prudish on me all of a sudden, are you?”

“No,” Dax grumbled. “I’m not, it’s just, well, hop off and you can see for yourself.”

“Not sure I want to do that,” she said, but curiosity got the better of her.

Dismounting, she lay on her stomach between his outstretched thighs and took his cock in her hands. The serrated edge of the corona was indeed moving in a slow, undulating wave. “Now I
really
wish I hadn’t gotten off.” She let out a sob. “Can I get back on?”

“Wait a minute.” Standing up, he held out his arms. “I wanted to do this all the way home.”

“What—oh…” Ava let out a long sigh as Dax picked her up and settled her back on his cock. “I was thinking the same thing.”

Dax grinned wickedly. “Now we can do it all the way to your quarters.”

Curling her arms around his neck, she pulled him close and kissed him. He smelled like sex and candy and tasted even better. Then he started walking, and Ava couldn’t have cared less whether the corona was doing its thing or not, because the bouncing thrusts as she followed his movements soon had her moaning with delight. “Are you
ever
gonna lose that erection?”

“Doesn’t seem like it,” he said with a chuckle. “And believe me, I have no problem with that. It feels great.”

“Yes, but you know, most guys can’t do that—and it can’t be good for you. You’ve got to take a break sometime.”

“Later. The way I feel right now, I never want a soft dick again as long as I live.”

He wasn’t joking, either. After spending a lifetime with a relatively useless penis, Dax was tickled to death that it was working so well. To get it to relax, he’d probably have to take a long, hot shower and then spend a couple of hours in a room where her scent couldn’t follow him. He felt as though he’d been imprinted with her essence and knew he could have identified her by his sense of smell alone, even in a crowd of other women.

Dipping his head down, he kissed her, sucking her sensuous lower lip into his mouth. Ava meant everything to him. Dax already felt he belonged to her, body and soul, and prayed the feeling was reciprocated.

Just walking with his cock sheathed in her body drove him on. He was drunk on her scent, and every step brought more pleasure. Gazing into the depths of her eyes, he was amazed that his feet kept moving in the right direction.

He wanted to talk to her, to tell her how it felt, but did women like hearing such things? She didn’t seem to mind—had been more forthright than he was—but would voicing his thoughts turn her off?

Ava took the decision out of his hands when she spoke. “Mmm, hot Zetithian cock. Feels so good, I can hardly stand it.”

“I’m glad you like it.” He hesitated. “Watching you suck me is… incredible.” His whole body quivered. “Do you really like doing that?”

“I suppose there are a lot of women who don’t, and I’ll admit, I wasn’t always crazy about it, but it’s different with you.
Everything
is different.”

Dax was pleased to hear that. If Lars had been better—or even Russ—he wasn’t sure he could have stood it. He leaned closer and kissed her, his tongue teasing its way into her mouth. Everything about her was different too. She was uniquely his, and every part of her was absolutely delicious.

As they approached Ava’s quarters, Dax saw that the door was already open wide. The little droid had thought of everything, including the lighting. There was just enough light to see, but it was slightly aqua, matching the glowing color of Ava’s eyes. “Kots must have been expecting this.”

Ava turned in his arms to get a better view, giving new meaning to deep penetration. Laughing at his gasp of pleasure, she trailed her fingertips across his chest. “Liked that, did you?” She pulled him closer, threading her fingers through his hair as she traced the flames of his tattoo with her tongue. “What
is
it about you that makes me want to swing from the ceiling while we’re joined at the hip?”

This sounded fascinating but difficult. “Can we do that?”

“Well, I’m sure if you think about it long enough, Kots will come up with a way.”

“I’ll think about it later. Right now, I want you on that bed so I can…” There it was again, that hesitation to say it out loud.

“Fuck me senseless?”

Dax gulped. “Um, yeah.”

“Bring it on, Big Guy.”

“Big Guy? What? You mean I’m not your kitten anymore?”

“You’re anything you want to be. If you want to lie around and purr while I scratch behind your ears, then that’s okay too. It’s all good.”

Dax grinned. “You can do that—right after I throw you down and fuck you senseless.”

Ava screamed with laughter as Dax launched her onto the bed. “I would never have guessed that you could be this much fun. You were so stiff when we first met.”

The vision of Ava sprawled naked on the sheets momentarily robbed him of speech. Purring like a tiger, he crawled up over her body, plunging into her core with a quick pelvic thrust. “I’m even stiffer now.”

“So I’ve noticed.”

Dax sighed with contentment. Lazily rotating his cock inside her, he felt something he hadn’t noticed before. “You’ve got one place that feels different. Right…
there
.”

Ava nodded. “It feels different to me too.”

“Good?”

“Very
good.”

Dax brushed his cock back and forth over the hard ridge, delighting in Ava’s moans of intense pleasure. Pressing upward with his cockhead, he pushed as hard as he could on that same spot until, finally, she lost all semblance of control. Screaming out his name, her body arched against him and her hair went wild.

Ava’s gasps of ecstasy drove him on. Soon, her eyes were blissfully closed, and as she began to relax beneath him, a smile touched her lips. The taste of her was still on his tongue, and as Dax gazed at her lovely face, inhaling the intoxicating scent of her climax, he felt a joy too profound for mere words.

Ava’s skin began to shimmer, imparting its light to the crystal that lay in the hollow of her neck. As the light from the stone grew, Dax opened his mouth to speak, but the sounds died in his throat. The glow from the stone ensnared him, drawing him in until solid matter seemed to vanish, sending him free falling through space.

As he fell, Dax realized that not everything had vanished. Ava was there with him; radiant, ethereal, and surrounded by an aura that seemed to have the pendant as its source. As he gazed upon her, the stone began to pulsate, sending forth blasts of blue-green light that nearly blinded him. Dax blinked to sharpen the vision, but it had no effect.

He was still moving inside her, but he felt as though he actually
was
inside her. Inside her body, inside her mind. No, it was more than that—deeper, more complete. He was inside her
soul.

The moment he realized this, his climax exploded, and as it did, Ava’s image expanded to exceed the full scope of his visual sense. He was aware that his eyes were wide open, but he saw nothing but the light shining forth from the crystal.

Ava felt the power of his orgasm and instinctively knew that something more than a mere sexual release had been attained. Through the haze of her own climax, she could see that his eyes were unfocused, the catlike pupils fully dilated as he gazed at the crystal. The stone captured the light from his eyes, reflecting it back, compounding the soft glow that normally emanated from his pupils.

“Dax?” she whispered urgently. “What is it? What happened?”

He shook his head, still staring at the stone. “The crystal… remember how I said it sparkled? This time was different, though. Stronger, like a… I don’t know… a portal or a conduit to another… something.” He spoke in hushed tones, as though fearful of being overheard and judged insane. “I was inside you, Ava. Really, truly inside you.” His eyes became more focused, but his expression remained one of profound awe. “It was not only beautiful… it was…
spiritual
.”

“What did you see?”

“I saw you, but… differently. It wasn’t your body I saw—or even your face. It was something deeper; the pure essence of your being.”

Ava had heard descriptions of orgasms before, but this matched none of them. She didn’t know how to reply. “Are you seeing anything now?”

He blinked hard and sat back on his heels. “No… At least, nothing that I shouldn’t be seeing, but… What do you think it means?”

“I have absolutely no idea,” Ava said frankly.

“But it had to mean something,” he insisted. “That sort of thing just doesn’t happen every day.”

“Not even to Zetithians?”

“What, you think it was a vision? I—no, I don’t think so. At least, it wasn’t like any vision I’ve ever heard about, or anything like the one I had. This was… different.”

Ava took his hand and kissed it. “It certainly sounds that way. Are you sure you’re all right?”

“Physically, yes, but… mentally? I don’t know yet…”

The stone had always been a source of comfort for Ava, but a portal? To what? Another dimension? Ava couldn’t deny that something significant had occurred, but a mind was quite capable of playing tricks on its owner. Exhaustion might have had more to do with this experience than anything. “Maybe we should try to get some sleep. You’ll have a better perspective on it in the morning.”

Dax still seemed perplexed. “Are you sure about that?”

“Well, no, not really, but sleep usually helps most things. Haven’t you ever noticed that—or don’t Zetithians have dreams?”

“Yes, we do, but I usually don’t remember mine.”

“Me either.” Ava pulled him down beside her. “But they still help your brain sort things out. Not sure how it works, I only know that it does.”

Dax nodded but then rose up suddenly. “I’ve never slept with anyone before.”

Ava wasn’t sure what to make of that. “You don’t have to if you don’t want to.”

“No, that isn’t what I meant. It’s just new, that’s all.”

Ava threaded her fingers through his tight curls and pulled him down for a kiss. “It’s been quite a day for you, hasn’t it?”

“That’s one way of putting it,” he said with a chuckle. “I doubt that I’ll ever have a better one as long as I live.”

“You never know. I like to think that the best is yet to come.”

“Don’t know how I could ever top today. I lost my virginity, had a spiritual awakening of some kind, I’m about to spend the night with the one I…” Stopping there, he bit his lip as though trying to hold back his words.

“The one you what?”

Sighing, he kissed her again, deeply and thoroughly. “The one I love. And don’t argue with me about it. Just because I’ve never been in love before doesn’t mean it can’t happen or that I wouldn’t know it for what it is.”
