He sounded so soft and desperate. It was such a different side of him that she was sure no one—especially not his one-night stands—were allowed to see. Her hips worked their way up and down, feeling his girth slide against her walls. He was eager to meet her bounces, thrusting up quickly, his muscles twisting to get as deep as he could. She held onto his chest, digging her long nails into his pecs and holding on for dear life. The way he was moving, she knew she wouldn't last long. She slipped her fingers down to her clit, rubbing small circles against it.

"You feel so damn good!" he growled.

"Shut up before someone hears you! Shit, Anthony, you're so thick."

He slipped his hips away, pulling out completely. He slammed her back against the desk, the wood digging into her back while Anthony fucked her hard. She moaned as her nails clawed at his back.

"Say my fucking name, Aaliyah," he growled against her ear. He accentuated his words with such deep thrusts, she was almost afraid he was going to tear her in half, but the pain felt so good. She never wanted him to stop even as she felt my orgasm drawing close.

"Anthony!! Fuck yes!" she cried a little too loudly. "Don't fucking stop…"

Finally, his lips captured hers, his tongue rough and frantic, wanting to explore the depths of her mouth. She let him dominate her, every suck on her tongue left her restless. She felt her entire body seize as a powerful orgasm rushed through her, clamping her down on his dick. Anthony groaned, slamming his hands against the desk and thrusting faster. The desk rocked back and forth, a few things falling off of it. She gripped his hair and forced him to look at her, wanting to see his gorgeous face as he came inside her. A small whimper escaped her as she held onto him for dear life.

His pants brushed against her sweat-soaked skin as he rested his head on her shoulder. "Fuck…" Anthony whispered.

Aaliyah stared up at the ceiling, knowing her decision at last.

I’m sorry Anthony…

I’m sick and tired of being treated like I’m not worth a dime. I’m really starting to give up on dating. I mean, what’s wrong with me? Why is it that I keep ending up in this situation? Why am
I
still single? I am a beautiful successful black woman who loves to cater to her man. What man doesn’t want that? Apparently not my last boyfriend, James. He only cared about himself and money. Besides, as handsome as that man was, he was dumber than ever. I felt like my IQ went down every time I was around him. It amazed me when he told me he had three degrees, and I was even more surprised when he told me his position at the bank.

“Terielle!” someone yelled but I was too lost in my thoughts to recognize the voice. When the person yelled my name a second time, I snapped back to reality. I blinked to see my friends sitting around the table staring at me. I had completely forgotten where I was.

“Girl, snap out of it,” Shae said. “You been down since your breakup. The boy wasn’t all that. Besides, you didn’t need him anyway.”

“That’s a lie! That boy was fine and he had money. You was stupid for letting him—,” Taylor started and then stopped once she saw the way my friends were looking at her. I laughed. Both of them were right. James was fine and he did have money but I didn’t need him. I would be just fine on my own.

“Look, T, you need to relax.” Nia said and then suggested. “We should have a girl’s night tonight.”

A girl’s night did sound great. Just me and my girls watching movies and eating ice cream. It’s been a long time since we did something like that, especially with so much going on with our lives.

“She needs to go out,” Shae responded, but that’s what I did not need to do. Their definition of going out was to some club with music or to a party or something like that. I would much rather take a long bath and curl up in bed with a good book.

“And I have the perfect place to go,” agreed Taylor.

“Oh hell no!” I exclaimed. “I don’t want to go anywhere that you suggest. The last time you picked we ended up almost getting shot.” The last time we followed Taylor’s suggestion we ended up on her boyfriend’s side of town. He lives in Lockwood Village, home of the city’s biggest crime rates and drug activity. Lockwood is nothing nice, that’s for sure.

“Leon had us and you know it. He wouldn’t have let anything happen to us,” she assured me but I wasn’t with it. “Fine, we don’t have to go to Lockwood, but we should get out. You don’t need to sit around in your feelings. You need a distraction. If you try to go home and relax, you just gon’ feel down and alone. If you come out with us, we’ll get some liquor in your system, find you a fine boy for you to dance with and you’ll forget all about your little breakup.”

She was right but I wasn’t feeling it. I just didn’t want to go out. I wanted to relax and enjoy being free. Something I haven’t been able to do because I was chasing behind James all the time. My job was to make sure that when he got home the house was clean, dinner was ready, and his bath was ran. It wasn’t until after that, that I would be able to enjoy myself, but that was short lived because I would be too tired to do so. Mostly because I did all of this after working from seven to three every day. On top of that, I hardly got a thank-you.

I told my girls that I would catch them later and to have fun without me. I needed a day of relaxation. I wanted to go home, get in a nice hot bath and read a book. I would catch them another time. They insisted that I stay but I refused. I was only half there anyway.

Once home, I fixed me a glass of wine and prepared for my night of relaxation. I ran my bath water, turned on some music, and grabbed me a book to read. I got in the tub and almost completely submerged myself under the water. The water felt so good against my skin. I would have never been able to sit here and just relax with James around. He would always barge in and try to bother me. He would either try to join or use the time to seduce me. Sometimes I wouldn’t mind, especially when he joined because he would always give me a nice message which would turn me on and I would end up on top of him. Or when I got out, he would dry me off with a towel and he would kiss on my body as he dried me off. Once I was dry he might pick me up on his shoulders, pin me up against the wall, and put his tongue to work. Thinking about it made me miss him, not for his personality, but I could use some good sex right now.

I got out of the tub, dried myself off and went to the closet to find my robe. On the door to my closet was the outfit I planned on wearing for me and James’ next night out. I had just bought it a couple days ago. I wanted to get rid of it, but maybe I could put it to use.

I grabbed my phone and made a phone call.

“Hello?” Taylor answered.

“Don’t leave yet! I’m coming with.”

Two.

My girls came to get me about an hour later. I had no idea where we were going and honestly I didn’t care. I was with my girls. Nia was driving, but I knew since I was coming, I was now the designated driver. I didn’t mind though, I didn’t plan on drinking much. I got in the back with Taylor who was fixing her mascara in a mirror. Shae was up front reapplying her lipstick.

“Where this place at?” Nia asked. She started up the car and looked back at Taylor.

“It’s off of first and Read,” Taylor replied without looking up from her mirror. Nia put the car in drive and we were off. Shae grabbed the auxiliary cord and hooked her phone up to the radio. Rihanna “Bitch Better Have My Money” came blasting out of the speakers.

“This my shit!” Shae exclaimed as she sang and danced to the music. I couldn’t help but smile and dance along. I had to admit. I missed times like these. I had been away way too long. We were on the road for about fifteen minutes before we pulled up to our destination. There were cars parked all along the street and people were standing around outside. You could hear the music coming from the inside of the house. We all got out of the car and I looked around to see where we were. That’s when I realized that we were in Lockwood Village. Deep in the hood. This was my least favorite part of town. The last time we were on this side a fight broke out and someone started shooting. Taylor knew this, we had this conversation at the restaurant earlier that day. I instantly got upset.

“Hell nah, you can take me back home.” I told them as I got back in the car.

“Come on Terielle, we already here. You might as well stay.” Taylor begged.

“You didn’t tell me we was coming to Lockwood!” I yelled. “I almost got shot last time. No! I’m not going.”

“Look T, we know you don’t like it here but Taylor’s boyfriend invited us to this party and Taylor already said she was coming. We can’t just change up the plans because you come along” Shae said and then continued, “That wouldn’t be fair now would it?”

I sighed. I was kind of intruding on their plans. Besides what was the point in fighting it? I wasn’t going to get home. It would be a waste of breath, and I was here to have a good time with my girls. I got out of the car and followed them to the house where the party was held. We were all stared down as we walked up to the house and I began to get uncomfortable. I was kind of regretting coming. As soon as I got in the house I was instantly annoyed. This wasn’t a party. Just a bunch of half-naked hood rats, drinking, smoking, and pressing their body up against strange men. The men were either drinking and smoking along with them, or they were throwing money and enjoying the dance. It didn’t seem to bother my friends who entered and went straight to the middle of the floor to dance. They weren’t paying attention so I slid off in the other direction and went towards the kitchen to find me something to sip on. This was definitely not the night I had planned out. I could’ve stayed at home for this.

I grabbed me a cup of the alcoholic beverage they had provided and stood against a nearby wall. From this view I could see my friends. They were laughing, dancing, and having a good ol’ time. I don’t believe they even noticed I was gone. I continued to sip my punch, it was actually pretty good. I could see why the majority of the people in the party was fucked up though. They alcohol content in the drink was no joke.

All of a sudden some random dude that reeked of pure alcohol and piss came up behind me and asked me to dance. I quickly denied and he grabbed my arm attempting to pull me onto the dance floor. I snatched my hand away from him and turned around to run in the other direction. I felt him firmly grab my waist and I swung at his face connecting with his jaw. He got angry and continued to chase after me. I turned to run and ran into another guy who gently moved me behind him.

“Back off bruh! The lady told you no!” he yelled. The guy waved him off and stumbled away in the other direction. The guy turned to face me.

“Thanks,” I said refusing to make eye-contact. Just because he saved me didn’t give him free game to talk to me.

“No problem,” he said, “By the way, you are a very stunning young lady.”

“Thanks.” I murmured still refusing to look at him and I doubt he heard my response.

“You don’t seem to be having a good time.” He stated. I rolled my eyes. I just got attacked by a drunk man! Of course I wasn’t having a good time. The man reeked and looked disgusting and now I desperately need a shower. “Look, I’m not out to hurt you or try to run game on you or anything. I just wanted to show you a night you deserve.”

I looked up at him and was awestruck by the sight I was seeing. This man was too fine. He stood about six foot with broad shoulders. He looked as though he used to play football. He was a nice shade of brown and even in this lighting I could see his beautiful light brown eyes. His hair was freshly cut and it was evident he cared deeply about his appearance.

“Well what do you have in mind?” I asked. He smiled a smile so perfect. I began to wonder what a man like him was doing in a place like this. He looked as though he didn’t belong.

“Well first off we gotta get outta here because don’t nothing good happen here.” He said. I nodded. I told him that I needed to tell my friends that I was leaving first so they weren’t looking for me, and he told me he would meet me outside. I wasn’t sure about this guy but I knew one thing, it would get me away from this place and anybody that did that was good in my book.

Three.

When I walked outside of the house, he was standing next to a beautiful 2014 Camaro. It was a convertible and you know he had the top down on it. It was a silver on the top and black on the bottom. The handles on the door and the rims on the car were chrome. It also had a chrome and black interior. It was too beautiful, and he looked even better standing next to it.

“Your car is so beautiful,” I complimented.

“Thank you! I worked hard to get this car. It hardly comes out and I usually don’t let just anyone ride in it,” he said and then continued, “but I think I can make an exception for the night. Only on one condition though.”

“What’s that?” I asked.

“Tell me your name.”

I laughed. “Terielle. What’s yours?”

“Orlando,” he replied. “It’s nice to meet you Terielle. If you don’t mind, I would like to take you somewhere where you can enjoy yourself. Maybe somewhere to get you a drink. There’s a club, a nice club, I know of on the other side of town, or we could step away from the party scene and go somewhere more private. Somewhere like a park or the lake.”

As soothing as a walk in the park sounded, I wasn’t ready to trust myself alone this late with Orlando. He seemed like a genuinely nice gentleman, but considering that we just met, I just didn’t trust it.

“I would much rather go to a club and grab a drink. I’m in a dancing kind of mood, “I lied. He nodded and opened the passenger door for me. I slid into the leather seat and sat in awe at the interior of the car. The whole car itself was just beautiful.
