I wanted him to crawl inside of me.

There was no way I could stop him. I didn’t want to. The rebel in me wanted this so fucking bad.

Archer pulled my panties to the side. Two strong fingers stroked back and forth against my aching flesh just before he buried them deep inside of me, pushing a gasp from my mouth.

His touch on my skin.

His breath on my face.

Incredible.

“Fuck,” Archer plunged deeper, dragging his fingers in and out of me slowly. “So fuckin’ hot. I can’t wait to have my cock here. I fuckin’ dream about it. I dream about it every night, you lying beneath me while you’re in my bed…at my mercy. I wanna make you scream, baby. I wanna hear you beg.” His fingers thrust harder as he whispered dark promises against my lips. I breathed them in…unable to do much else except take what he was giving me, or let him have what he wanted.

“Tell me…tell me you want that too. I wanna hear it from those sweet lips.”

“I want you.” All rational thought had escaped me, along with all inhibition.

He released his hold on my wrists. My hands found purchase on his shoulders, while his free hand found the bodice of my dress, pulling it down. With the bunched up fabric resting beneath my breasts, Archer dipped his head. With his fingers still thrusting in and out of me, his hot mouth covered my nipple. He sucked and twisted the tortured bud with his lips and teeth, pushing me further and further to the edge.

“I want to taste all of you. I think I’ve waited long enough.” He removed his fingers and dropped to his knees before me. Pushing the material of my dress up my thighs, his mouth found my center. He pulled one leg to rest on his shoulder. My hands dove for his dark locks, tugging and scraping frantically. He licked and sucked until my body submitted to the pleasure he was giving me. With a quiet moan and his name on my lips, I came hard and fast against his mouth.

Standing, he fixed my disheveled dress, pulling the hem back down and the bodice back up. His hands smoothed down my torso before they cupped my cheeks.

“This body is mine. Understand?
Mine
.” Archer declared.

His dark green eyes held a possessiveness that had me trembling in my spot. If only he felt this possessive about my heart. Nodding, I gave him the response he wanted. I was too weak to argue, too weak to fight.

He pulled another soft kiss from my lips. “To be continued.” he promised before he let me go and walked away, taking my heart with him.

I’d been in love before, twice actually. Both had left me for dead on the battlefield of love with nothing more than a broken heart and wasted time. Yet, I knew the moment I met Archer that I had never loved with my whole heart. The connection we shared was unlike anything I’d ever felt before. Luke and I had been together at the time, but that didn’t stop me from falling for Archer. As bad as I hate to say it, I think I fell for Archer before Luke ever cheated on me. Fate had dealt me one hell of blow by putting him in my path. She could be such a ruthless bitch sometimes.

When I walked back inside, I found him standing across the way, snagging another beer from the galvanized tub on the drink table. Twisting the top, he took two long gulps before his intent green eyes swung to mine.

God, give me strength
.

Snagging another bottle, he slowly prowled toward me. My heart raced, still beating with the wild passion he’d unleashed not long ago. He took another pull from his beer as he approached. Throat bobbing up and down as he swallowed, my thighs clenched at the sight. With no more than an inch between us, he stopped. A small grin gathered at the corner of his extraordinary mouth, and my thighs squeezed in torment. Memories of where his wicked mouth had been ten minutes ago sent heat sneaking up my neck and face. Sometimes I loathed the effect he had on me, but most of the time…
I craved it

Archer licked his plump bottom lip. “They’re leaving soon, I’m gonna need you to drive me home.” He downed the rest of his beer then sat the empty bottle on the table next to us. “I think I’ve had too much to drink.” He popped the second top, his sharp eyes slicing through mine.

“You’ve had like two beers,”

“Nope, I’ve had five.” He took another drink. “This here’s number six.”

Fishing his keys from his pocket, he leaned down further. Addictive lips hovered just above mine and like a magnet, my body leaned forward. He smelled of beer and me, and I ached to kiss him. I wanted nothing more than to lick that wonderful mouth and tongue of his until we were both gasping for air.

He placed his keys in the palm of my hand. “You don’t fight fair.”

“I know.” He kissed the tip of my nose. My knees wobbled and my body flooded with warmth and unfathomable need.

Need that only he could stifle. Need that only he could feed.

A flower cannot blossom without sunshine,

and a man cannot live without love.

Eight hours earlier…

“Fuck, I can’t believe you’re doing this.”

“What? Gettin’ married? Oh, it’s happening, brotha. In two hours- Maddie will be mine forever.” Holden slapped me across the shoulder. I pinned him with a raised brow. The man was no longer a pussy. He was a fucking pussy.

“Don’t say it,” he said, handing me a little black box. “Here.”

“The fuck’s this?”

Holden jerked it back. “You’re fuckin’ hopeless, you know that?” He opened the box, revealing a simple wedding band.

I snatched the box from his hand. “Damn, you could’ve at least bought ‘er a band of diamonds or some shit, cheap fucker.”

“Maddie doesn’t care about that. This is what she said she wanted. What my baby wants, my baby gets. Check out the inside.”

“Inside?”

“Inside the ring, jackass. It’s inscribed.”

I pulled the thick band of platinum from the box and held it up to the light. Four capital letters were boldly engraved along the inner circle.

MINE

“Nice. At least it’s not any of that mushy shit you spout out every time she’s within reaching distance.”

“That one word says everything I need her to know. Plus, all my other pretty words wouldn’t fit.” he shrugged. “I tried.”

“I’m sure,” I put the ring back in the box and slid it into my pocket. “Ready?”

“I’ve never
been
more ready.”

“Fuckin’ pussy.”

“You just can’t help yourself can you?”

Offering him the only affection I could dig up, I put my arm around him. “Let’s go give Maddie the rest of your nuts.”

Walking up the steps of the church, my anxiety intensified. Why the hell did I agree to do this? Oh, yeah right.

Family
.

“My oh my…don’t you boys look handsome.” Mrs. Waters embraced Holden, smiling warmly up at me. “The girls just finished up with the photographer. Y’all are up next.” I grunted. I was not looking forward to this shit one bit. “Don’t you dare grunt at me, Archer Brooks,” Grace Waters had been a woman on a mission from the moment Holden slipped our grandmother’s ring onto her daughter’s finger. She was a fucking tyrant if you asked me. “Only a few more hours and you’ll be free from this madness. In the meantime, your butts are mine. Now, get inside. It’s gonna be a beautiful day.” Smiling proudly, she patted both of our cheeks before she turned and walked away.

“That woman is scary as fuck.” I stated.

“C’mon, let’s get this shit over with so we can get to the good stuff.”

Buttoning my coat, I fished a peppermint from my pocket and followed Holden inside.

After about a million fucking pictures and the tyrant delivering orders left and right, we were finally ready to get this show on the road. Standing at the front of the church, Holden rocked back and forth in anticipation while I stood impatiently next to him. The church was packed full of friends and family of the bride while Holden’s guests merely consisted of friends. Our family wasn’t like most. They didn’t give a fuck about anything but money. My aunt would have had a field day with this simple affair, and Holden’s wedding would have been treated like a joke. He’d refused to invite any of them, except for our Uncle Nate, who unfortunately was unable to make the trip. Had our grandparents been alive- that would have been a completely different story. They were the only ones who ever gave a shit about us.

The music that had been playing stopped as another song took its place. The doors opened in the back of the church and Holden stopped his rocking ritual.

Just as my eyes found hers, precious air escaped my chest. Dressed in black with a hot pink ribbon tied around her waist, the strapless dress fit her like a second skin. Beautiful dark eyes that saw far more than I ever wanted to reveal gazed right back into mine as Jason Mraz,
I Won’t Give Up,
wafted through the sanctuary. As she made her way down the aisle, her sweet smile stretched her perfect sweet mouth.

Those eyes.

Those incredible fucking lips.
