“Really great people make you feel that you, too, can become great.”
âMark Twain
This has been such an amazing adventure. I consider myself an incredibly lucky woman to have so many supportive and loving people in my life, both personally and professionally. I couldn't possibly have gotten this book done without all of their love and encouragement.
To my husband Will: Thank you for being so loving, supportive, and understanding. When I said, “Hey, I think I need to go to a hotelâaloneâfor an entire weekendâ¦to write.” You gratefully said, “Okay babe. Whatever you need.” There aren't many husbands out there who are willing to provide such unconditional and unwavering support. I love you, and I love being your wife. I'm
your
biggest fan.
To my boys: Thank you for sharing me with the characters in my head and for “suffering” through pizza night on many occasions. I love you all very, very much.
To my Farkle Family: What can I say? Mom, Katie, and Meggie: Thank you for reading various versions of my manuscript and for giving me honest feedback. Dad, I promise I'll black out the sexy parts next time to save you the hassle and weirdness of skipping over “those parts.” Charlieâyour title suggestions were duly noted, but I didn't think
W.I.L.F.
or
Eagle's Scream: Eww It's in My Fur
would sell to my target market. Thanks to all the Farkles for never letting me take myself too seriously. Love you all!
To the best-beta-reader-ever Sheila: Thank you, thank you, thank you for reading endless scenes, chapters, rewrites, and more rewrites. Your honest feedback has been so very much appreciated. More than anything, thanks for being such a dear friendâdear enough to say, “No. That doesn't work.” (But in a way that doesn't make me cry.) Ooooffffa! Love ya, woman.
The College of Westchester: Thanks for sending me to that charity event with Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark! Thank you to my co-workers for cheering me on every step of the way. You guys rock!
Carol Higgins Clark: Thank you for recommending Jeanne Dube!
My patient and tenacious agent Jeanne Dube: You are an outstanding lady and a helluva agent! Thanks for taking a chance on me and for hooking me up with the perfect publisher.
Sue Grimshaw: Thank you for helping spread the good word about my Amoveo series. I don't think we could've gotten this done without you!
My editor Deb Werksman: Thank you so very much for giving me this opportunity. I am so excited to create a home at Sourcebooks. You are a joy to work with!
Amy Petty: Thank you for being my musical muse.
You rock!
Lauren Markow & Red Pill Entertainment: Thank you so much for allowing me to use Amy's music and for being such wonderfully collaborative and creative folks!
To all my Facebook and Twitter friends: Thank you all for helping me get the word out about this series. (This means you Ellen, Maureen, Lisa V., John C., Joanne K., Lori, and Carrie.) Thanks to the two Marias for helping clarify my Italian dilemma. You'll forever have my gratitude.
Last, but not leastâ¦thank you to all of my readers. I look forward to the rest of this incredible journey and sure hope you'll continue to come along for the ride. I'm blessed to be surrounded by really great people.
Dream on.
