Angela headed back to her desk intending to retrieve her purse and walk to the deli across the street. She turned the corner to climb the steps and found Charles lounging against the wall waiting for her.

When he noticed her appear around the corner he pushed off the wall. “You do know that I had absolutely no intention of inviting her, right?”

Angela gave a small laugh and began climbing the steps and Charles fell into line right behind her.

“Yes, I know.” she finally replied.

“So you have noticed my attempted to ask you out the past couple months.” he asked curiously.

“Yep.” Angela continued walking until she reached her desk near the back set of offices.

When she turned around with her small purse dangling from her arm, Charles tucked a wayward strand of hair back behind her ear. “So when are you going to give in and put me out of my misery?”

“How does ‘never’ sound?” she asked archly.

“Never? Why? What’s wrong with next week?” he cajoled.

Angela smiled. Nothing seemed to pierce his confidence. “You really want to know why not?” she asked her voice low and secretive. She leaned her hip against the desk.

“Why?” he leaned in.

“Because I worked here last year during The Great Debbie Debacle.” she reminded him in a stage whisper.

“Debbie. Whoa-”

“Uh huh,” she interrupted. “Debbie! She called and left messages every day for nearly two weeks before showing up at the construction site and smashing out the back window of your truck.”

“Do you know they sat there and watched her key my truck? None of the guys even attempted to find me until she picked up that brick!”

Angela laughed at the indignant expression on his face. “They probably figured you deserved it for sleeping with her roommate.”

“Damn,” he swore. “You heard that part of the story too?”

“Yep.” she smirked.

“Damn.” he repeated ruefully. “You’re sticking with that ‘Never’ huh?”

“Oh, most definitely.” she assured him.

“Can I at least have one of your chocolate chip cookies.” he said his tone husky when he asked the question.

Angela snorted and made a face. “First off, Ew, and second, EWW.”

Charles laughed and shrugged his shoulders.

“No you may not. I haven’t baked anything in awhile.” she told him.

“What? I can’t get a date and now I can’t even have a cookie. What is the world coming to?” Charles asked incredulous.

Now it was Angela’s turn to shrug.

His eyes clouded with worry. “Is everything okay?”

The concern in his voice sounded genuine and she smiled reassuringly. “I’m fine. Just needed some down time and I didn’t feel like baking.”

“You know if you ever need anything you only have to ask. That goes for all of us, not just Marcie.” he told her gently.

She nodded her head. “Yes, I know. You aren’t so bad you know. You could even be a good boyfriend if you don’t sleep with her best friend.”

“See? There’s another reason for you to date me. Your best friend is my cousin; you would never have to worry!” Charles exclaimed playfully.

She hung her head in mock disappointment. “Shameful Charles. That is just shameful!” she admonished lifting the purse and heading toward the exit.

“You know that whole incident was a big misunderstanding.”

“It always is.” she murmured.

Before she had even taken more than two steps into the hallway she heard voices behind her. She stopped when she recognized the booming laughter of her boss and turned to find Isaac and his father exiting his office.

Isaac had called her multiple times over that first week apart. He sent a few text messages but when she didn’t answer the calls and only sent the briefest of replied he’d given up. Or so it seemed at the time. His gaze traveled over her body and she felt as though she was standing there naked instead of wearing the pencil skirt and button down blouse she’d worn to work today. Then his gaze narrowed at the sight of Charles accompanying her.

“I was just going to grab you a sandwich from the deli since you worked through lunch.” Angela said with a smile at Mr. Whitman, intentionally not looking at Isaac again.

“Don’t worry about that. I’m going to head home early today. Dinner plans with my wife.” he told her handing her a manila colored file “I need you to make sure these papers get to where they need to go.”

“Not a problem,” she replied automatically. She glanced at the name on the file and her startled gaze came up to meet Isaac. “For Isaac?”

“Isaac is going to be taking over some of the larger projects for me so I can take it easy.” boomed Jon and thumped his son on the back with one of his large hands. Isaac’s large frame easily absorbed the blow. “Nice to know my son will be here watching to make sure nothing falls through the cracks!”

“Nonsense!” denied Angela.

“Well, me wanting to find some more time for fishing may have had something to do with it as well.” Jonathon admitted good naturedly.

The four of them laughed at the good natured joke.

“It’ll be good to have you around.” Charles said shaking hands with his cousin. “You paper pushing or you lifting a belt?”

“Some of both.” replied Isaac.

“Well, I need to get out of here. I just stopped by to pick up some supplies for the Anderson project.” explained Charles.

Angela walked back around her desk and returned her purse to the bottom drawer. When she took her seat and looked up again Charles and Jon had both left and Isaac was standing there looking at her.

“No pictures?”

“Excuse me” she asked tilting her head to the side.

“You don’t have any pictures on your desk.” he noted.

Angela looked at the space on the desk where there used to be a picture of her, Isaac and Marcella as kids. However, she’d put the picture in her desk unable to deal with the daily reminder of Isaac when she was trying so hard to push him from her mind. She wasn’t willing to admit that to him however. “Aunt Dorothy is right there” she pointed to the corner of her desk holding the small wallet sized photo.

He nodded his head and then wandered off towards the stairs.

Angela peeked around the corner. He didn’t look back. He didn’t say goodbye or anything

“Damn.” she swore. A silent Isaac was not a good thing. Like the eye of the storm, it meant that the worst was yet to come.

So she really wasn’t surprised when she returned home from work that night to find Isaac leaning against his SUV parked outside her home. When he noticed her walking down the street, he straightened and unfolded his arms from across his chest.

It was a simple motion, but the movements made her think of those strong arms wrapped around her waist as he captured her breast in mouth. With a sigh she walked up the path to the front door and Isaac followed silently. She unlocked the door and walked inside holding it open so that he could enter behind her.

“I’m curious. Exactly how long were you planning to avoid me Angela?” he asked angrily.

“Until you gave up on having this conversation.” she thought to herself but she wouldn’t dare utter the words out loud. Isaac was already pacing back and forth through the living room. She was surprised he was so agitated about the whole situation. Though she suspected part of his frustration was just jealously because he didn't want Charles hanging around.

“A month? Maybe two?” he continued angrily. “When were you going to return one of my calls or send a text saying more than, ‘I’m busy right now’?”

“I wasn’t avoiding you. I was busy.” she kicked off her shoes and hung her purse in the closet. She noted the missing spare key and made a mental note to mention it.

The look on Isaac’s face was doubtful. “Okay, I was avoiding you.” she admitted. She could see a muscle tick in his jaw, he was so tense. Then he rubbed his hand over his face. “I didn’t know what to say.”

“Anything Angie. Anything would’ve been better than waking up in a cold empty bed. I sat there for almost an hour waiting to see if you were gonna come back.” he told her. “A fucking hour and nothing.”

“I was not gone that long! Sorry if I didn’t follow the correct protocol, but I didn’t get a chance to read the handbook on what to do the morning after having sex with your best friends’ brother.” she replied her tone caustic. “You could’ve called! You could’ve sent a text or left a note, but you didn’t either. So don’t try to blame it all on me. You left!”

Isaac crowded her space forcing her back a step and then another until she felt the wall pressed against her back.

“What should I have done? Did you expect me to beg Angie?” his fingers ran over neck. “Maybe I should have told you that I was addicted to the sweet taste of your pussy on my tongue.”

She gasped at the graphic words and his rapid change in tactics.

His fingers brushed over her lower lip. “Maybe I should’ve told you how I could barely sleep that night imagining the feel of your lips wrapped around my cock.”

One arm was braced above her head. The other ran over her hip and lifted her leg over his hip, opening her body to his. He rubbed his denim covered arousal against her causing her to moan.

“Ok. You win.” he told her.

“I win?” she asked confused. How could he expect her to concentrate when his body was pressed so tantalizingly against hers?

“I’ll beg.” he whispered against her lips before gently biting her bottom lip. His fingers found the top of her blouse and with a quick motion he ripped the two halves apart. The small buttons popped loose and the shirt halves hung limply at her sides leaving her body open to his view. He let his gaze roam over her body as though memorizing her curves before leaning in once again.

“I want to spend all night wrapped between your thighs.” his lips landed on hers, his tongue pushing past her lips seeking entrance. He nipped her bottom lip. His fingers tugged the hem of her skirt up until it was bunched around her waist. Deft fingers pushed the thin scrap of material hiding her sex aside. She gasped and called his name as two of his fingers slipped inside of her moist heat.

“Can I bury my dick deep inside of your pussy Angie?” he asked against her neck. “I want to feel your hot pussy clamp down on my dick while you cum over and over again. Tell me you want it too. Tell me you want this dick Angie and I’ll give it to you all night.” he promised. “Say it!” his fingers like a ruthless piston inside her channel. The palm of his hand rotated in hard circles against her clit.

“Yes. Please.” she begged.

“That’s not good enough.” he moved his hand until he found her g spot and rubbed slowly. “No, I want to hear you tell me that you want my hard cock inside your wet pussy.”

Embarrassment wasn’t the word strong enough to describe what she felt. She needed him to move to a little bit faster. A little bit harder. His fingers slowed down and dismay pulsed through her. Desire won and she said the words he wanted to hear. “Please. I need your hard cock inside me. Please, Isaac, don’t stop.”

His fingers moved faster. Pressing harder and harder until she stiffened against him and screamed out her release.

His lips caught hers as he pulled her panties from her body and lifted her body into the air.

She wrapped her legs around his waist and held onto his shoulders. Hard hands bit into her hips as the large head of his cock pressed against her swollen folds. A moan escaped her as he pressed into her still quivering passage. The feel of his thick cock stretching her had quickly sent her shivering on the edge of orgasm again. With her head thrown back she clenched his shoulders tightly her fingernails biting into the flesh beneath her.

Isaac tensed and moaned before shooting warm jets of cum into her body setting off an explosion inside of her.

Her body felt like it vibrated as they stood there pressed together for a long moment. She wondered if she would ever be able to get over the feelings he caused inside of her. Surely it must be an addiction because nothing in life had ever felt as good as the feeling of body connected so deeply with her. She never wanted to let go. Perhaps the feeling was even mutual because Isaac made love to her in the shower. They ordered in Chinese food that night and Isaac proceeded to strip her naked and managed to kiss, lick and stroke every inch of her skin throughout the night.

The next day at work felt as though time was dragging through a thick pool of molasses. Surely it was later than 11:22am she told herself as she muffled yet another yawn. With a sigh she gave up her pretense of working and went to grab a cup of coffee. Normally, she wouldn’t bother since the only coffee she liked was about fifty percent milk and forty percent sugar, covered with whip cream. Today, however, she could use the caffeine boost.

Entering the empty break room, she pulled her phone from her pocket and sent a quick text to Isaac. ‘Are you coming over tonight?’

She grabbed a cup and poured a large cup of the heavy brew. She was stirring in an unhealthy amount of sugar when her cell vibrated in her pocket. ‘Insatiable’ he responded.

She smiled at his response. ‘Perhaps ;-)’ She had just pressed the send button when she noticed a movement out the corner of her eye. Jessica had entered the room a glittering smile on her face.

“Hey, somebody’s in a good mood this morning.” Angela said in greeting.

Jessica nodded. “Is it silly that I’m pretty excited about the movie in the park?”

Angela eyed the other woman. She seemed sincere. “Not really. It is a pretty fun place to spend an evening out. But I’m guessing that half the fun for you involves Charles.”

“You picked up on that huh?” Jessica started to say something more but her voice trailed off as she glanced down at Angela’s vibrating hip.

“Uh yeah.” Angela nodded awkwardly as she peeked at the message displayed on the phone. ‘Ask nicely’. Angela ignored the message and tucked the phone back into her holder on her hip.

“You and Isaac huh?” Jessica suggested slyly. She then turned and pulled a cup from the stack and poured a cup of apple juice from the refrigerator.

“What?” Angela asked surprised.

“Oh wow. Don’t even try. A, you are a bad liar and the whole building knows it. B, the sparks between you two are so obvious. I’m personally amazed that you haven’t set off the sprinklers yet.”
