“You’re not seriously asking that after what we both saw and experienced.”

“No, I just... don’t know how
you
feel about it.” I lick my lips.

“I like pretty much anything that involves you.” He grins, and I shake my head and fight the urge to burst out laughing. “Just tell me what you want,” he says, a twinkle in his eyes.

“Okay.” I chew on the insides of my cheek, then lean forward. “I want you to tie me up to that table, and I want you to fuck me like you never fucked anyone.” I point to the additional table in the kitchen with my finger and whisper some more directions into his ear. The small, sturdy table is just the right height, and for the first time, it’ll have an actual purpose.

“I can do that. Want a safeword?” He takes my finger into his mouth, rolling his tongue around it for a moment.

“If I say stop, you stop, okay?”

He nods. “Do you trust me?”

“Yeah.”

“Good.” He gets to his feet and practically runs to my room. I wonder why he’s going there and realize he knows where all my stuff is because he’s dug through it while searching for the pills. It feels like that was a century ago. If he left, my apartment would be empty without him. But he might be leaving soon... if Archer gets arrested and our mission is over... we’ll no longer have to pretend.

“Is this good enough?” Isaac waves with my scarves. I haven’t worn those things like... ever.

“Yeah.” I get to my feet, and I can already feel arousal.

I want this. I always did.

When we reach the kitchen, Isaac throws one of the scarves around my neck and pulls me toward him. Our lips collide into a passionate kiss, and I run my fingers through his hair, pressing him closer to me, trying to drink him up. My hands travel down his back and then come to rest at the front of his dress shirt.

I’m so glad he wore that to the party, even if he had to take it all off. But the blue jeans and that shirt make his eyes even bluer, and his messy hair is so soft to the touch. With one tug, the buttons pop out, and I’m almost sorry for the poor shirt, but Isaac shrugs out of it, and I let my hands roam down his strong chest. When I reach his belt, I unbuckle it and pull it out of the loops, then throw it across the room.

I feel Isaac’s erection under his pants and a smile spreads across my lips. When I unzip his pants and try to tug them down, he grabs my wrists and flips me around, making me gasp. He presses himself against me and unzips my dress, letting it fall to the floor. As soon as he unhooks my bra, I toss it across the room. Isaac’s fingers slip into the waist of my panties and he slides them down.

“Bend over the table,” he says, and a little twinge of excitement surges up through me. Before I can do as he says, he entwines his fingers into my hair and shoves me down. “Spread your legs.”

I comply and feel him wrap a scarf around my ankle, binding me to the leg of the table. He repeats the process until I’m fully secured to the table and then stops in front of me, stroking his hard cock.

“Open your mouth,” he says, pushing toward me, and I take him into my mouth, sucking and licking. He drives himself faster and faster until tears prickle my eyes and I struggle for breath. Just as I think I won’t be able to take it anymore, he pulls out and I gasp.

His lips part and I think he wants to ask me if I’m okay, but then he just watches me for a moment, and I give him a small nod. He disappears from view and I can feel him behind me. His finger slides inside me with ease, and I turn my head into my shoulder and stifle a moan. I’m so wet, like never before. Another finger joins in, stretching and probing, and hitting all the right places.

“God, Isaac,” I whisper, and he moves his fingers faster and faster until my whole body shivers. Just before the sweetest moment, he withdraws, and I wiggle my hips in protest. But when he flicks his tongue over my clit, my whole body shudders and I cry out. While the pleasure is still pulsing through me, Isaac grips my hips and slams his thick length into me.

“Do you like this?” he asks, his hand winding into my hair and yanking, enough to lift my head but not to hurt.

“Yeah,” I gasp out.

“Good.” He shoves himself deeper, and as I strain against my bonds, one of my arms gets free. Leaning over me, he pins my arm behind my back, his powerful thrusts never faltering. My whole world is vibrating, or maybe it’s just the table that’s shaking underneath me. When Isaac slams his hips against mine again, I clench around him. Our bodies shudder together, and we both cry out, the pleasure rippling through us. He pants for breath, bending over me and keeping me trapped between him and the table, his cock still throbbing inside me.

“Isaac...” I whisper as he slides out of me. He lets go of my arm and goes to untie me. I lift myself up, unsure if I’ll be able to stand. Isaac scoops me up in his arms and carries me to my room, then lowers me onto my bed. He kisses me, fierce and deep.

“You didn’t think we’re done already, did you?” he says and climbs onto the bed.

“Nope, not at all.”

The vibration of my phone rouses me from sleep, and I squint, feeling for the phone on my nightstand. Isaac stirs next to me as I check the message.

“Did something happen?” he asks as I stare at the phone.

“No, but Archer is inviting us to dinner. At his place.” A frown line creases my brow. Why would Archer want me to bring Isaac? Unless he has something twisted in mind again.

“Both of us?” Isaac’s eyebrows shoot up.

“Yeah, both.” I put the phone back. “We shouldn’t go. I don’t trust him and I don’t want him anywhere near you.”

“But it’s a chance for us to get into his house,” he says. “We could find out something.”

“I don’t know. Maybe he doesn’t mean literally his place. Maybe it’s just some apartment or a house that he likes a lot.” I cuddle closer to Isaac, resting my head on his shoulder. “We’ve set everything in motion. What happens next is up to Ericka. I don’t want to see Archer ever again.”

“You know you can’t do that. He’ll be suspicious.” He traces his finger up and down my arm.

“So what? I’m not doing anything. Maybe I just got tired of everything and his proposal scared me off.”

“He’s an obsessed man. What if he comes here looking for you again?” Worry creases his brow.

“So you’d prefer that we go to his home where he can do whatever he wants to us?” I raise an eyebrow at him.

“Well, he can’t really do whatever he wants. Everyone will see us when we arrive. If we don’t walk out in one piece, they’ll know he violated the deal. And who knows what he’s done with Theo... I’m sure everyone’s already watching him more carefully. If they think he’s become too reckless...”

I sigh. “Yeah, you’re right. I guess I’m going to accept, but if he starts asking me to marry him again, I’m going to run for the hills.”

“Yeah, okay. Maybe he’ll just try to impress you. Or try to introduce you to a different version of him so you’re more likely to accept his proposal.” The corners of Isaac’s lips tilt up.

“But I won’t let him touch you. You’re mine.” I look up at him, and he leans his forehead against mine.

“I like being yours.” He laughs.

“Good. Then we agreed.” I grab the phone and type up a quick message to Archer.

***

Archer’s limo stops in front of a big apartment building, and I notice two guards at the door. Isaac and I are taken to the elevator and to the ninth floor, the highest in the building. When we get there, I realize the whole floor is just one apartment. A servant ushers me into a room with a table set up for two, and Archer gets to his feet. I glance around me. Everything looks like it’s from some expensive modern furniture catalogue, and the colors that prevail are white, black, and purple.

“What do you think?” Archer spreads his arms, and behind him, I see a darkish glass that offers a magnificent view of the city.

“It’s really nice,” I say and mean it.

“This is where I live. It could be all yours, too,” he says.

“Oh.”

He pulls out a chair for me and I take a seat. There are two glasses already filled with wine on the table, along with perfectly laid out silverware, and there’s a cart with food not far from us.

“Where’s my slave?” I ask, glancing around, because I don’t want Archer’s men to do something to Isaac while I can’t see it.

“My men are taking good care of him,” he says, and my throat constricts a little.

“Bring him here. Now,” I say, my voice low and with a hint of a threat in it.

“Why?” Archer’s forehead wrinkles. “Is something wrong?”

“Not at all. I just want him here. He’s been a bit... difficult lately. I don’t want him to do anything stupid.”

“How so?” Archer leans forward, clearly intrigued. “I could help you with that. You know I train slaves for a living, and I’m good at it. But Isaac’s been away from me for a long time, so he might need a reminder.”

“No, that won’t be necessary. It’s just the pills I’ve been giving him. He wants more and more and it’s getting annoying. Just bring him here, please.” I offer him my sweetest smile.

“Okay, I’ll go tell my men to send him over.” He gets to his feet and when he disappears through the door, I look around for cameras, but I don’t see any. I reach for the glass of wine, then frown. Why was the wine already poured when I got here?

Maybe Archer had his men do it as soon as I stepped into the building, and then he sent them off so they wouldn’t bother us and find out that he proposed. I doubt he was telling everyone about it. They know we’re hanging out, but they can’t know the extent of our relationship. I eye the glass for a moment, then set it down. Picking up Archer’s glass, I take a sip and replace his glass with mine instead. The wine tastes and smells good, and eases my dry throat a little.

“Here he is,” Archer says, Isaac trailing behind him and looking unharmed. “Stand over there.” He points to the other end of the room and Isaac complies.

“Thank you,” I say.

“Are you sure you don’t want me to take him in for a couple of weeks?” Archer asks as he takes a seat. “It could do wonders for his attitude.”

“No, I can handle him.” I glance toward Isaac who rolls his eyes, which makes me smile a little.

“As you wish.” Archer lifts his glass of wine and tips it toward me. “To us, Katherine. I always knew you’d come back to me.”

“To us.” I clink my glass against his, and Archer gulps down his wine. He watches me as I take a few more sips, and there’s something about the smile on his face and the glint in his eyes that looks strange.

“Let’s eat, shall we?” He gets to his feet, picks up two plates from the cart, and brings them over to me. I again wonder why his servants aren’t doing this, but maybe he’s just trying hard to impress me.

“Looks delicious,” I say when Archer removes the metal cover off the plate and reveals a mouthwatering steak with fries.

“Bon appétit,” he says, and we eat in silence.

When we’re done, Archer gets to his feet, swaying a little. “I was thinking maybe we could...” A frown creases his brow. “Maybe I could show you around... before the dessert.”

“Yeah, why not?” I stand up, but Archer stumbles forward. He presses a hand to his temple. “Are you okay?” I ask.

“Yeah, I just...” He crumbles to the floor.

“What’s wrong with him?” Isaac runs toward us and crouches next to Archer, who is lying on the floor. Archer’s hand twitches slightly and his eyes flutter back into his head. “Please tell me someone didn’t just set us up for his murder.”

I look back at the empty glass on the table. “Son of a bitch. The glass was meant for me.”

“What?” Isaac looks up at me.

“The wine... There must have been something in it. I switched the glasses when Archer was away. That sick son of a bitch!” I start toward Archer, rage clouding my vision. How could he even think about drugging me? Isaac gets up and catches me before I can kick Archer’s unmoving form.

“Hey, wait. What do you think he was planning to do?” Isaac asks, but his gentle touch doesn’t do anything to calm me down.

“Oh, I’ll tell you what...” I stride in the direction of the door on the opposite side of the room from the door through which Archer brought Isaac.

“Where are you going?” he asks.

“If he planned to drug me and take me to his room where his men can’t see anything, then his room has to be that way.” I push open the door and find myself in a big bedroom with dark blue walls. When I look up, I see a camera in the corner. Wonderful.

“Isaac!” I say as I exit the room. “Can you drag him in here?”

“Why? What are you going to do?”

“Get revenge.” I grind my teeth together.

“Whoa, wait. We can’t just violate the deal...”

“We won’t, because no one will know.” A slow smile spreads across my lips.

“If we kill him or hurt him, his men will know we did it. They saw us coming in.” Concern flashes across Isaac’s face.

“Not if we do to him what he was planning to do to me. And don’t worry, he won’t say anything, because the shame will be his. Just take him to that room, okay? And be careful of the camera.”

“What exactly do you think his plan was?” Isaac asks as he tries to lift Archer, who is actually mumbling something and might even be able to stand up, but I know he isn’t really aware of what’s going on.
