Bonus Epilogue

I grabbed the cup holder containing the coffees and shoved a handful of creamers and sugar packets into my pocket before walking out of the hospital cafeteria. After the doctor came to explain Blackie’s prognosis I offered to get us all some coffee and gave the boys some time alone with Blackie.

I told myself I did it because it’s what any good old lady would do, and I rocked that title like it was no one’s business. But that wasn’t entirely true. The truth was I was afraid to see Blackie. I was afraid I’d look at him and he’d be the reminder of the horror Jimmy caused us both, or worse, I’d remind him of what he went through, every prick of the needle, every track on his arm. Would he look at them and think of me? And if so could I really blame him? I guess I was scared that Blackie would wake up and I’d lose the friend I found in him.

I stared at the doors in front of me, a familiar wing in the hospital, one I spent many months living inside. I spun around, trying to figure how I ended up at the burn unit but then it didn’t matter did it? I pushed through the doors, and started down the hallway, making my way toward my old room but I stopped when I turned the corner and saw the policemen guarding the doors.

“Sorry, miss, can’t let you passed this point,” the cop said.

“It’s okay,” I rasped, clearing my throat. “I took a wrong turn anyway.” I smiled and then my eyes caught the name outside of the door he was guarding.

Jimmy Gold.

I turned on my heel and strode away, leaving Jimmy to rot right there in Hell, in the burn unit of the hospital. I hope they let him see his scars before they send him off to jail.

I finally found my way back to the Intensive Care Unit where Blackie was and bumped into Lacey as she bound through the doors, her cars keys still in her hand.

“He’s awake?” She asked me frantically.

I barely nodded my head before she ran past me, dropping her keys onto the floor.

“Lace, wait…” I paused, the rest of the sentence dying on my tongue.

Leather and lace.

When we get out of here will you tell me what it means?

Yeah.

No fucking way!

The Tempted Series:

Illicit Temptations (Book One) *can be read as standalone*

Blurb

Michael Valente

My father was the underboss of an organized crime family. He was murdered when I was a teenager leaving me broken. My mother died in a tragic accident, her death annihilated me. My life was in shambles until Victor Pastore, one of New York’s most notorious gangsters and my late father’s best friend, recruited me to work for him.

Everyone expected me to walk in my father’s shadow, to be the prodigal son, the next big thing to hit the mob. I was torn between filling those expectations and walking the straight line my mother wished I had. Nothing made sense and I felt as if I was just passing through life.

The only beacon of light in my otherwise dark world was the one girl that was off limits to me. The one girl who could bring me to my knees consuming my mind, body and soul.

She’s the sweetest temptation I’ve ever known and the most illicit.

Nikki Pastore

My father’s a gangster. My boyfriend’s is the king of New York’s night clubs. I am often labeled as Vic’s daughter or Rico’s girl, never just Nikki. I struggle for people to acknowledge me for the woman I am and not for the men in my life. I’m fighting a losing battle.

There is only one person who sees me for me, my Mikey.

He’s wild.

He’s reckless.

He’s hot as hell.

He’s completely unattainable but oh so tempting.

Forbidden Temptations (Book Two) *can be read as standalone*

Anthony Bianci

Since I was a kid all I ever wanted to be was a gangster. I wanted to be feared, to be respected, and for everyone to know my name.

And then she came into my life.

I never planned on falling in love with the mob boss’ daughter. She was forbidden but somehow she became mine. She made me crave things I didn’t even know existed and made me forget about the things I thought I wanted. My quest for power faded away and was replaced by my undying love for her.

Until reality bit me in the ass and I was sent to prison for three years, doing time for a crime I didn’t commit.

Now I’m out and she is creating a life for herself, just like I always wanted for her. Only I’m not a part of that life. I won’t ruin her any more than I already have with my poisonous lifestyle.

No matter how tempted I am.

Adrianna Pastore

I wanted him from the very first time I laid eyes on him.

He was everything to me, my first love and probably my last.

Then my father ruined our perfect little life, and he walked away from me.

I tried to fight for him, for our love, but he pushed me away.

When the love you crave is beautiful, yet forbidden, you can’t help being tempted.

So I’ll fight for him. For us.

Even if I’m the only one fighting.

Reckless Temptations Book Four in the Tempted Series

Riggs

Heart.

It’s what keeps you from being reckless. It’s what keeps you breathing.

Money, power and respect… they were my god given right, not the reason I joined the Satan’s Knights. I tied myself to my club and nothing else. Give me my bike, the open road and a different woman every night and I was happy.

My life was great.

Until the chaos exploded.

One night.

One reckless temptation and I finally found my reason for breathing.

I never saw her coming. The girl that would turn my world upside down and give me my heart.

Only it was too late.

One mistake can take it all away.

I’m about to lose my heart.

The thing that keeps me breathing.

The thing that keeps me from being reckless.

Lauren Bianci

Drop out of nursing school? Check.

Have no idea what you’re going to do with your life? Check.

Disappoint your family? Double check.

Meet a biker and have crazy sex against a wall? Check. Check. Check.

Get knocked up by said biker? Check.

I was always the good girl, the prodigal child, the girl who said and did all the right things.

Things like this didn’t happen to me.

Until him.

Until he smiled.

Until he tempted me to find out what made me happy.

Too bad it’s him.

We’ll never work, but, I can pretend can’t I?

Just for a little while.

Just until it’s over.

Chapter One

Riggs

Join an MC they said. It will be fun they said. But no one mentioned babysitting a bunch of mobsters or getting smacked in the head with a frying pan by one of their mothers. This shit was worse than hazing. I knew I was a prospect and I had to eat a lot of shit before I became a patched member of the Satan’s Knights but this was fucking bullshit.

“Does your mother know you’re part of a gang?” The Italian nutcase, Maria Bianci asked as she climbed the stairs leading to her daughter’s apartment. I was surprised I hadn’t killed the woman yet. I’m not going to lie, there was a time or two where I thought about it but the bitch was mobbed up and I still wasn’t patched in.

Her son, Anthony Bianci, was some wise guy in the mob and tonight he and his girl had been attacked. Bianci’s chick was the daughter of mob boss Victor Pastore, or Mr. Soprano, as I like to call him. Tonight was the grand opening of some fancy club of his but instead of dancing and drinking the night away they dodged bullets. How the fuck I’m in the middle of this shit, I’ll never know. But Jack Parrish, the president of the Satan’ Knights, ordered me to grab Mama Leone over here and her grandkid, or half a grandkid, I don’t know the deal, but there was a kid and Bianci’s mother was watching it.

I did as I was told, grabbed mommy dearest and the boy, delivered them safely to Anthony Bianci only for him to take the kid and leave me with his maniac of a mother. Not even a thank you, Riggs. Say what you want about bikers, but these mob folk were fucked. They were rude and their women were fucking violent. Imagine marrying one of these broads, she’d likely throw the fucking kitchen sink at you if you forgot to leave the seat up after you took a piss. This one right here, would probably cut your balls off.

“Well? Does she?” She asked, glaring over her shoulder at me.

“I don’t know lady, she’s dead,” I sneered.

My mother was very much alive, living the dream, married four times and all that but I wanted nothing more than to shut the woman in front of me up.

“I’m sorry,” she said, pausing for a moment to stare at me. “She must be rolling in her grave,” she said, making the sign of the cross before knocking on her daughter’s door.

See? Crazy. She was fucking crazy. Who says shit like that after you tell them your mother is dead?

The door swung open and a girl stood wearing nothing but a towel, in the doorway. Finally, there was a light at the end of the tunnel.

The girl’s eyes widened as she stared at Maria.

“Mrs. Bianci!” She exclaimed, moving to stand behind the door so she was covered. “What’re you doing here?”

“Mia, do you always answer the door in a towel?” Maria retorted.

“Um, no not usually,” Mia stammered.

“You going to bitch about what the girls wearing or you going to ask to be invited inside?” I chimed in, hoping to get a better glimpse of this Mia character.

“I’m sorry. He’s right, come inside. Does Lauren know you’re visiting?” She asked politely as she opened the door wider, allowing us room to step inside.

“No. It’s an impromptu visit that she can thank her brother for,” Maria said, looking around the apartment. “Where is she anyway? It’s nearly three in the morning.”

“Um…working.” She smiled nervously. “Can you give me a minute to throw some clothes on?”

Maria shooed her away with her hands before walking further into the apartment, picking up empty cups and paper dishes along the way.

“I’ll just be a minute. Make yourself at home,” Mia said, eyes bouncing nervously between me and Maria, they locked with mine and she quickly turned on her heel, and down the tiny hallway. Yeah, something was up and it wasn’t my dick. Bummer.

“You can leave now,’ Maria said, glancing over her shoulder. “I wish I could say it was nice to meet you Rabit…”

“Riggs,” I hissed.

“What kind of name is that anyway?” She asked brushing me off, bending down to pick up a pair of shoes that one of the girls had haphazardly left on the couch.

“It’s my road name,” I explained angrily.

“Well if that isn’t the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of. What is your god given name?”

I shook my head in disgust and walked away from her, searching for the bathroom.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Maria asked behind me.

That was it. A man can only take so much and I had my fill of Maria Bianci.

“I’m going to go take a piss, would you like to come with me? Maybe hold my dick for me?”

I grinned in satisfaction when I heard her gasp behind me. One for Riggs, Twelve Thousand for Maria.

I walked down the narrow hallway, finding the bathroom and heard Mia talking in hushed tones in the room across from it.

“Lauren, you really need to answer your phone goddamn it! Your mother is here with some scary looking guy. Call me back.”

I stopped outside Mia’s bedroom door, peered through the crack and saw she was fully dressed. Double Bummer. She was sitting on the foot of her bed, her fingers moving rapidly on her phone. I toed the door open with the tip of my boot and she quickly dropped her phone onto the bed.

“Problem?” I asked, checking over my shoulder to see if Carmela Soprano was anywhere near, then stepped further into Mia’s room. She lifted her eyes to mine, sinking her perfectly straight teeth into her lower lip.
