Uncensored Passion

Kayla Quinlan Saradon was a beautiful, respected psychiatrist whom her friends accused of having discovered the fountain of youth. Kayla wondered what her friends would say if they knew her secret was a polyandry lifestyle she shared with four, studly “husbands”—each skilled in his own sexual specialty.

Then Trey Sean Cameron, who was secretly investigating Kayla’s lifestyle, exploded into her life—and Kayla couldn’t contain the emotions he raised in her. But could the rugged, ex-Army Special Forces operative—a possessive and demanding lover—share in her lifestyle? And how far would she go to keep him?

PROLOGUE

On a serene cul-de-sac in one of the most affluent, old-moneyed sections of Nashville, Tennessee, is the exclusive, prime real estate suburban area known as Belle Meade, where prim and proper aristocrats reside in splendor and expected decorum, at least as far as the public is aware.

However, behind closed doors, especially in the residence of one noted psychiatrist, Dr. Kayla Quinlan Saradon, a completely different scenario unfolds daily. Or nightly, to be more precise.

Kayla inherited her three-story mini-mansion from her parents, who in turn had inherited it from her mother’s influential parents, the Quinlans, thus her middle name.

The mansion, secluded beyond a copse of massive oak trees lining an antique brick paver drive, is situated to the back of an elaborately landscaped acreage and is the perfect setting for keeping secrets—for one who values utmost privacy.

Kayla guards that privacy with determination, well aware of the shocked reaction of her neighbors should they discover her lifestyle choice, known only to her and the four males, ranging in age from 19 to 39, who live with her.

Though Kayla’s inheritance is sufficient to ensure her comfortable future, she has become financially successful in her own right, with a burgeoning psychiatric practice that caters to the most affluent of Nashville’s elite.

Those who know Kayla Saradon in the professional world consider her an enigma. She is a brilliant psychiatrist, known for her amazing photographic memory and unparalleled intellect, as well as her suave, almost ethereal beauty. She deliberately downplays both characteristics—the intellect by modestly proclaiming it has been exaggerated, the beauty by taming her mane of natural curly, strawberry-blonde hair into an unflattering bun and meticulously camouflaging her striking figure behind staid business suits tailored to disguise rather than display her ample physical assets.

Because she emphatically fends off the many male admirers, both colleagues and even some patients who try to pursue her, Kayla has gained the reputation of a cold ice queen who neither trusts nor likes men. Her actions continually fuel the rumor she is a closeted lesbian. That rumor Kayla silently accepts with suppressed humor, preferring to ignore it rather than trying to voice an outright denial.

Though she could easily pass for being in her twenties, Kayla would candidly admit to being in her mid-thirties. Keeping primarily to herself, there are a few associates who share occasional lunches with her and feel relatively safe in calling themselves her friends. At one time or another, they have posed the question, “Have you discovered the fountain of youth, Kayla?”

Flashing a smile, Kayla always thinks,
as a matter of fact, I have
, while contemplating what their reaction might be should she answer truthfully—that the potent elixir that rejuvenates her nightly is her unique and sexually fulfilling lifestyle.

But of course she would never—
could
never admit that her key for staying young and vibrant can be found in the four extraordinary men she has selected to fulfill her sensually and ferociously innovative sex life, which she pursues with complete abandonment behind closed doors.

Kayla Saradon matured early, receiving her period and her voracious sexual appetite at the tender age of fourteen, much to the consternation of her mother, Elizabeth Saradon, née Elizabeth Quinlan of
the
Quinlans, one of the original and most powerful music publishing families in Nashville.

Elizabeth Saradon recognized the early tendencies in her daughter she herself had battled so fiercely and silently all of her own life. Though she had reached the plateau of hypocritical propriety, in reality, Elizabeth was a frustrated woman, intent only on satisfying and appeasing her demanding husband, her desires suppressed not by choice but by circumstances.

Because Elizabeth valued maintaining her place in high society, she chose to deny her inner longings and obediently took her inherited place among her staid, wealthy contemporaries as was expected of her in her younger days, giving up on physically seeking the sexual satisfaction she secretly craved.

Instead, she opted to live vicariously within her mind, satisfying herself with explicit romance novels before quietly alleviating her sexual pressures within the privacy of her bath or bedroom, several times a day, if possible. Yet as badly as Elizabeth resented and secretly abhorred the life that had been foisted upon her, she tried to force the same lifestyle onto her daughter, for the sake of appearances.

Knowing Kayla to be strong-willed and filled with the same intensely sensual desires she strove so hard to personally curtail, Elizabeth put Kayla on birth control pills immediately following an embarrassed, terse explanation of safe sex. That one awkward moment was the extent of Kayla’s sexual education, and even that was more than Elizabeth’s own mother had shared with her.

Though politesse, political correct opinions, and societal obligations were constantly reiterated within the Saradon household, as before in the Quinlan household, the subject of sex in any form and fashion was considered taboo and never openly discussed.

So, left to her own imagination and fueled by raging hormones, Kayla drew her own heated conclusions—that all sexual avenues were open to exploration and personal interpretation, the caveat being: just don’t get pregnant.

At the age of sixteen, Kayla had an epiphany destined to mold her entire life from that day forward. It occurred at her debutante ball, in the middle of a waltz. She looked up at her tall and handsome date as she mentally assessed him and suddenly realized he would never be enough to satisfy her.

As he whirled her around the floor, she kept a smile plastered on her face while she thought,
he’s the son of one of the most successful families in Nashville and he’s very handsome
.
He’s the quarterback of the football team, applauded by the guys and chased by all the girls, and I suppose he’s charming enough. But he will never be enough to suit me. He could be part of what I want and need, but he could never be all of it. By himself, he would bore me to death in no time.

Studying him closer, Karla concluded that Len Hambry was exactly the kind of boy her father would pick to be her future husband, which made him even more unsuitable in her eyes.

It was that moment of realization, in the middle of the dance floor, that Kayla made her lifestyle choice—one she had read about, researched, and now felt excited about embracing, because she knew that no
one
male, no matter his attributes, would ever come close to her ideal mate.

I crave variety and someday I will have it
! She vowed as she smiled and thanked Len for the dance. And as he led her from the ballroom floor, Kayla was thinking,
there is no way I will ever settle down to what is acceptable, as Mother has done, to fit in with society. No way will I live a so-called respectable life of sheer misery.

However, that revelation was one Kayla wisely kept to herself as she continued to bide her time, living the charade, playing the expected role of dutiful daughter and bright student through high school and college, where she achieved the highest academic accolades, as was expected of her.

The wild side of her nature Kayla carefully kept separated, both from her family and classmates, meticulously selecting obscure out-of-town and out-of-the-way rendezvous points where she could pursue her avid curiosity about the world of erotic sex. She sought out male partners who fascinated her in some way, whether by their
avant-garde
conversation or by dangerous looks that promised a walk on the wild side. She continually searched for just the right ones who would not only slake her ever increasing sexual desires but would also be on board with her philosophy.

Her active, off-campus, and carefully guarded out-of-town sex life remained secret right up until her parents’ untimely death in an automobile accident two months after she graduated from university.

That night Kayla truly came into her own. Though she grieved their loss, she also felt released from their imposed burden of normalcy. She knew what she wanted and needed to make her happy, and when she accepted that she was now unhindered by the dread of embarrassing her parents, she felt a sense of euphoria, knowing she could now pursue what they would have considered a taboo lifestyle.

Soon after the funerals, she set out on her quest with an unwavering sense of purpose, quietly and methodically sandwiching it in between her intense time of residency at Vanderbilt Hospital. And achieve her goal she did, with four very different, hand-picked men eager to service her every sexual need on alternate nights, at her discretion and within her set limits.

Delighted that she had discovered her own version of the fountain of youth, Kayla became the epitome of a satisfied woman, avidly pursuing her forbidden polyandry lifestyle.

CHAPTER 1

Kayla, then and now

Kayla Saradon did not see herself as others saw her. When she looked in the mirror, she saw a myriad of imperfections—a woman who never quite measured up in her father’s stern eyes—a woman who was her mother’s reflected embarrassment as they shared a mutual proclivity for innovative sexual freedom, and a woman always on the edge of self-fulfillment.
