Authors: Mac Park
The mega-mutant growled and whipped its three tails at Kai and Jay. But it was not fast enough. Kai had seen it and he and Jay dodged the tails just in time. âThat was a very close call,' said Jay as they flew away from the beasts.
âYes,' said Kai. âTo beat these beasts we must work as a team. Robohawk and BC can make bombs to put out fire.'
âThey should keep battling the toxic breath mutant then,' said Jay.
âYes,' said Kai. âAnd BC can take away its toxic breath with the F-R-T attack.'
âThen Robohawk will put it in a force field,' said Jay.
âIt will need to be very weak for the force field to hold it,' said Kai looking at his watch.
âIt's too strong right now. When it has no fire and breath it will be much weaker. While the buddies do their battling we can get the other beast. We can blast it with my blue foamer and Slushy-Max.'
âAnd my dirt blaster and rock collector,' said Jay.
âYes,' agreed Kai. âWe can do it in turns. Then when the beast is weak enough I'll use the chains to wrap it up. Let's do it. Battle team go!'
âMoving in now,' said Jay.
Robohawk and BC flew above the triple-tailed beast. They attacked its fire head with bird poo and F-R-T attack.
âIt worked,' said BC. âThe fire is out. Now for the toxic breath.'
Meanwhile Kai and Jay took turns blasting the other mutant. âIt's working,' said Jay.
âOne arm is down but the other one is still firing,' called Kai. âAnd it's pulling its wings back for another fire and wind attack. Watch out!'
All of a sudden bombs of F-R-T and bird poo went off under the beast's wings.
The beast fell backwards.
âBlast those arms now,' called Kai. âQuick!'
Kai and Jay blasted the beast until its arms had no more fight left in them. Then its wings fell against its body. âWrap it up with the chains, you two,' Kai said to Robohawk and BC. âThen I'll hit the button on your collar to activate the ray cage, BC. Good job, team,' said Kai as he activated the ray cage. âIt's time to take these beasts back to the Outlands.'
The team flew to the Outlands gate. When they reached it, Kai took out his orb. He sent a message to the BMC. They opened the gate. BC pushed the mutants inside. Then the gate shut tight.
âWell done, guys,' said Kai. âWe made a great team. Thanks Jay. You and Robohawk were excellent battle buddies.'
âThanks Captain Kai,' said Jay. âIt's good to have those beasts behind that gate.'
âI hope they don't escape again,' said BC.
âThey won't,' said Kai. âThe BMC told me that before this battle the power went out for a few seconds only.
Â
The gates opened. I guess these two beasts got out. They are behind the gates now. It's home time for all of us. Earth is safe from mega-mutants now!'
But was it?
