I look up at Shane, watching his dad walk away. “I love your dad, darling. He’s so sweet and kind. No wonder you turned out that way.” His head turns to me quickly and gives me that gorgeous smile, his dimple showing.

“He loves you too, you know. How can he not? You’re beautiful, sweet, loving, caring and have a fucking killer body that I love to use for my pleasure,” he says looking deep into my eyes. I laugh at the last part. He leans over and kisses me and says against my mouth, “I love giving you pleasure too and watching your face as you cum is my favorite thing to do.” He sits back down, his eyes full of desire. Shit, I might just cum right here after that.

I blush. “Ugh, we might have to hurry and leave soon, if you keep talking like that, my sexy man,” I say in all seriousness.

He winks at me. “Hurry up then, my love. Don’t want to keep you waiting too long, or my cock will unleash itself. You know how I can’t always control it,” he whispers, loudly. Oh. My. God. I have to rub my legs together to try and get some friction. Damn him for doing this in public. I look behind me and see a restroom. Might have to take my sexy man in there to get some help with my aching needs, if he doesn’t stop.

I drink down my orange juice in one gulp. Emily returns, bringing another one almost before I set down my empty glass. She winks at me as she walks away. God, I hope no one heard us, especially Emily and Steven. How embarrassing.

We both settle down, Shane watching the T.V. above me on the wall and texting. Me? I started writing my second book. I just feel pulled to it right now. A few minutes later, already into Chapter Three, I tell Shane that I’m going to the bathroom.

I do my business and wash my hands. As I look up, a mouth covers my mouth, an arm going around my waist pulling my arms to my sides tight. I look in the mirror to find my eyes are wide with terror as they look at Paul behind me, an evil grin on his face. He has a ball cap on, turned around so the flap is on the back. “Did you think you could really get away from me, whore?” He whispers against my cheek. I close my eyes, my heart beating out of my chest, as he licks my face. “Look at me, bitch!” My eyes open and I watch his other hand lay on my stomach. I squirm, trying to get free but his grip tightens. “So, he knocked you up, huh? What a cunt you are. No wonder. You just open your legs for anyone,” he growls in my ear. “He’s gonna pay for that. I promise—” A noise cuts him off. He swiftly turns his head to the door, his hand tightening over my mouth. “Don’t you make a fucking sound, cunt,” he sneers.

My eyes move around the room, trying to figure out a way to make some kind of noise. I start to panic as he begins dragging me towards the door. Shit! There has to be something that I can do to make some noise. He removes his arm from around my waist in order to open the door. I see him peering out into the hall, checking both ways. I look down to see a mop bucket with the mop standing in it. I try reaching with my foot but it’s too far. Damnit!

We move into the doorway, I place my hand on the frame and push with all my might while my teeth bite into the meaty flesh inside the hand covering my mouth and bite down hard. “FUCK!” He screams and I am released enough to kick the bucket. A loud crash echoes in the small room.

My face explodes as something metal hits it and all I can see are dots. “Uhhhhh!” I groan as my body is lifted. I can tell we are moving quickly.

“STOP ASSHOLE! PUT HER DOWN AND BACK THE FUCK AWAY!” Detective Connors yells with his arms out, gun pointing right at him. But it doesn’t stop Paul as we keep moving. My eyes start to clear as I am pushed into a back door, helping to open it with my body. He’s running with me now, heading towards a black van. I struggle as he sets me down, sliding the side door of the van open.

“NOOOOOO!!!!!” I scream at the top of my lungs. I turn to see Connors running, gun pointed with Shane running behind him. I’m pushed into the van. The door shuts, and I hear the lock latch. I’m pulling on the handle, but it won’t budge. I crawl quickly to the back window, my hands on the glass and see Connors talking on his phone while running. Shane is limping badly while trying to keep up with him. I can tell my man is hurting by the look on his face.

The van starts and my heart leaps. Looking behind me, I see there is a wall dividing the front seat to the back, a small window of netting in the middle. Shit, there’s no way for me to stop him! As the van screeches from the parking lot, I look out the window to see Shane and can hear his muffled scream. “Allllliiieeeeee, noooooooo!”

I pound on the window with both hands, crying out, “Shhhhaaaannnneee!”

Paul turns his head to me, laughing. “Shut the fuck up, bitch! He’ll never have you! No one will ever have you! Shut up and enjoy the ride. You’re gonna fucking love where we end up and what I’m gonna do to you!”

My body flies to the side of the van, hitting it hard, as it makes a sharp turn out of the lot, hitting a curb that bounces me down to the floor. “Oomph.” My hand goes to my face, blood covering it when I bring it back to look at it. That must be from whatever object hit me, I can tell my left eyes is starting to swell shut. As my body is jostled with the racing van, I look around for anything that will help me get out of here, but find nothing. I spot a handle on the back door and crawl to it, my body clumsy with the moving of the speeding van. I pull on the handle and scream in frustration. Locked! I keep ahold trying not to get thrown all over the place. My other hand holds onto my stomach. I peer out the window to see Connors black SUV coming out of the parking lot, so fast I can hear the tires squealing in protest. Biting my lip, my head whips to the front to see we are approaching a highway. Sirens catch my attention. I look back through the rear window and can make out at least three police cars, their lights flashing as they follow in hot pursuit.

The van goes over a curb causing my body to jump and slam against the back door as it starts up the ramp to the highway. I quickly look at my rescuers behind us to see they are following and catching up to us. Oh, my God! Hurry!

We are flying down the highway, and I feel a vibration in my pocket. My phone! Shit, I forgot I even had it. I let go of the door handle, with one hand, grab my phone and answer quickly.

“Allie, are you ok? Allie?” I hear my man’s voice and my heart skyrockets into my throat.

“Shane! I’m here. Oh, my God, Shane!” I yell. I hear a ‘Thank fuck’ and the line goes dead. I look at my phone to see it shut off. Damnit! Lost its charge. Shit!

My body slams against the door again as Connors SUV hits the side of the van. I hear his voice from a megaphone. “Paul Westfield, pull over now and give up before someone gets hurt.” Paul’s evil laugh rings sourly in my ears and I feel the van move faster.

The van and SUV seem to play a cat and mouse game for a long time. The police cars are surrounding it as well, sirens blaring. I am holding onto the door handle for dear life, watching out the back window until my hands release of their own accord and my body flies through the air. I land on a hard surface, my eyes closing into blackness.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I watch as the love of my life speeds away, inch by inch. I scream, “CONNORS!” As I see the van that’s carrying her swerve to miss a car, and hits the end of a cement embankment, causing the van to plummet down into a ditch, turning over twice before landing on its top. “GET ME THE FUCK OVER THERE!” I yell. The SUV sharply turns, smoke billowing from its squealing tires.

I don’t wait for it to stop completely as I open the door and jump to the ground with a thud, rolling over and over down the hill. I can hear Connors and others yelling at me on the way down. Stopping abruptly, I jump up and limp while running to the van. Fuck! I hit the side of the van, hard with my casted arm trying to stop myself and see my cast is all torn up, blood on my other arm from scratches on my journey here. I beat on the side door, pulling on the handle with all my might, but it won’t budge. “ALLIE! ALLIE! FUCK!” I scream as I slam my hand on the door.

A police officer moves around the front of the van and gets the driver’s door open. I follow behind him and see Paul’s lifeless body fall out to the ground. I kick him with my boot as I jump over him into the front seat. It’s awkward being that it’s really the ceiling of the van. I look down to see a netted window, the net torn up a little from the impact. I bend down and start pulling on it, trying to get it open enough to crawl through. My heart stops when I see my girl’s still body lying on the other side, her head turned my way. Her eyes are closed and blood is covering her face and neck. I start tearing into the netting faster, the adrenaline racing through my body.

Connors opens the passenger door and climbs onto the van and starts helping me pry the netting away. “Shane, get out of the van! You’re tearing up your hands! Let Officer Johnson in to help!” He screams. I shake my head and keep pulling, blood running onto the netting. It’s half way off now, but not enough to get through. Connors pulls out a knife from his shoe and starts cutting.

I hear the sirens as they get closer and quickly look out Connors door to see more police cars and an ambulance. I hold the netting as Connors cuts, pulling it away in pieces until we finally make a big enough hole for me to climb through. As I start to get up he stops me with a hand on my arm. “No! I’ll go through, you’re hurt. Fuck, man. Let me do my job!” He screams. I don’t wait to reply as I push my front through the window, placing my hands on the slick surface beneath it. I feel someone’s hands around my ankles helping to push me through. “Unlock the back door, first thing! You hear me Barton?” Yeah, I hear him. Like I’m gonna fucking do that before I check on my girl. No fucking way!

My body is finally free, and I crawl over to my girl placing my finger against her neck. Thank. Fucking. God. She’s alive but her pulse is really weak. “Love? Allie?” I say as I touch her head but she doesn’t stir. Afraid to move her, I crawl over the back door, the paramedics standing there, Connors beating on it. I try the handle but it won’t move. “Go back into the front and unlock the back door!” I scream. Connors quickly runs and is only gone for a second until I hear the lock unlatch. I hurriedly open the door. A police officer grabs the second door and opens it. I move to the side, against the wall and sit, as the paramedic’s climb in and begin working on my love.

My hand throbs as my fingers run through my hair, my heart beating rapidly. She’s gonna be ok. She has to be ok. I look up as tears start running down my face. Please, God. Please take care of my girl and my baby.

I open my swollen eyes to see a paramedic squatting before me. “Hey, man. Let me take a look at those cuts and your head.” I shake my head. I look over to see Allie being picked up and placed on a gurney, strapping her in.

“Allie,” I croak, my lip trembling. More tears make their way down my cheeks.

The paramedic looks at me with concern. “Let us take care of Allie, ok? I promise we will take good care of her,” he smiles. I nod and he begins to clean off my arm. I grab his wrist with my torn casted hand, the cast barely hanging on now.

“She’s pregnant. Allie, she’s pregnant.” I nod my head her way and watch him turn his head towards her. He yells it to the other paramedic’s and they nod back as they move her out of the van. My body starts to get up on its own accord wanting to follow but the paramedic lays his hand on my shoulder and pushes me back down.

“We got her, man. Let me finish. She won’t be far. They need to stabilize her before they take off.” He looks out the door and back. “Looks like your ride just got here.” I watch as another ambulance pulls up beside the other, more paramedic’s jumping out.

I begin to get up again. “Oh, hell no! I’m going with my girl! No, fucking way, I’m leaving them. Get the fuck—” He sticks me with a needle as he’s pushing me down again. My head lolls back against the van, my eyes start to blur. “No,” I barely get out before I close my eyes.

Beep. Beep. “Ohhh, Ohhh.” Beep. Beep. “Ungh.” Beep. Beep. My eyes try to open but are so heavy. Where the fuck am I? Beep. Beep. Fuck what is that fucking noise. My eyes open as I start remembering the wreck, the van, my girl! Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. My heart takes off as flashes of memories flow through my mind. I sit up quickly only to be lowered down by two very strong hands. “Ungh!” Fuck that hurts.

“Shane, buddy, stay down. Don’t make me get the nurse to put you out again.” Connors says smiling. He lightly pats my shoulder. “I’m so fucking glad you’re ok, man.”

I squeeze my eyes to try and make them clearer. “Allie,” I groan. I open them to find a nurse messing with my I.V. and I grab her wrist. “Allie,” I growl. She looks at me, fear in her eyes.

Connors takes ahold of my hand and pries it from the terrified nurse. He smiles at her and cocks his head to the door. She wastes no time in leaving. He looks at me, a frown on his face. Someone better fucking tell me where my girl is, or I won’t be held accountable for what I do to this hospital while trying to find her. “Shane. Calm the fuck down. She’s fine.” He reaches for a nearby chair, pulling it close to my bed. “She had to have surgery.” I start to pull the covers off. “No, man. She’s fine. Trust me, ok? She’s in her room and I’ve talked to them about moving her in here with you, but they want to get her settled down first.” He smiles and I relax, a bit. “The fucker, Paul? Dead. They believe he was killed on impact. Thank fuck!”

“What?” I cough. He hands me some water and I drink it like I’ve been in a desert. I hand back the empty glass. “Why did she have to have surgery? Is the baby ok? What—”

He holds up his hand. “Just lay back and relax and I’ll tell you everything.” I settle back down and wait impatiently. “Her spleen ruptured and they had to remove it.” My eyes go wide. “The doctor told us that she’ll be fine but will need to stay in the hospital for a couple of days so they can monitor her. They’re giving her pain meds and antibiotics through her I.V.”

A lone tear makes its way out of my eye. My girl. She’s been through so much.

He places his hand on my casted arm, “Hey, she’s fine. She hasn’t woken up yet but they are keeping her sedated. They said the baby is fine too, man. They’re both very lucky.”
