Her clothes were like nothing he had never seen before, since on his planet everyone wore the same suits, only in a different color
. However, Jeff realized that Maya had already taken a fancy towards Jeramaya. Jade the ship’s doctor, escorted Maya toward the infirmary, were a series of test were conducted to see if she could in any way contaminate the crew, also her blood would have to be analyzed to confirm that what she was saying, about being a half breed were true or not. Jeremy discussed the issue with Jeff, who saw the whole thing to be somewhat farfetched, until Jade confirmed that Maya did share the same jeans, DNA strands similar to their own race. The whole scenario was alarming; Sonard had not only changed the planet’s history, but also the species that dominated this polluted, overcrowded world. Maya was given a uniform similar to their own; she had no idea where she was until Jade escorted her to the control room. Maya stood there in shock as she gazes upon earth though the ships glass screen, it had never accrued to her that she was aboard an alien space ship.

“It is ok Maya you are safe here, “said Jeram
aya. “ When shall we return her?” asked Jade

“You know we can’t take her back with us?”

“And why not”, said Maya

“You do not belong with us,” said Jade.

“I have nothing to go back to, I have no family and my intelligence is nearly equal to yours, also I can help you reach Carl and stop him from activating the probe“.

   “She’s right
! Without her we could never track this Carl down,” said Jeff.

The three of them debated the issue, while Maya was confined to her quarters; gale their ships computer, assisted in their discussion, and confirmed that Maya could be an asset, and they finally agreed to let her stay.

Maya was delighted to be aboard their cruiser, she had never dreamed that this could be happening. Now she knew she was secure, never having to go back to Sonard. Jeramaya summoned Maya to his quarters and soon began to explain to him, what Sonard had done to the planet, and how he had created man, and now sought to destroying him by infecting the whole population with a virus that would only infect human beings and not the 10 % of half breeds that shared our would with us. Jeramaya asked question after question, it seemed Maya knew almost everything that Sonard had done in the past, and also what his plans were for the future. Then again why shouldn’t she know what Sonard was up to, she handled all the files and registered all the information that Sonard had gathered during his quest. She also had access to all the secret codes, frequencies that were being transmitted by the minute transmitter, buried under the skin of every half-breed in the world. Maya had recorded Carl’s frequency, which would eventually lead Jeramaya to him, that is if Sonard does not get to him first eliminating him forever.

After the scene inside the library, Carl and his mates sought the refuge inside their remote hotel room. Jason was pissed off by what had happened, and could not forgive himself for letting Sonard’s man get away. Nick thought it might for the best, if he and Jason went to see his friend, code-named frank, who worked for an intelligence unit, siphoning every phone call, E-mail etc that ever passed through his receivers.

Nick swirled through the ever-narrow back streets that lead to franks
apartment, in some run down place in town. Jason lay back taking it easy, keeping his eyes peeled for Sonard’s men however, there seemed to no one on their tail, which Jason found rather odd

They reached franks apartment
almost knocking the door down until he finally answered. Nick introduced Jason as they both entered his secret hide out while Jason stared at the endless screens, wires that covered the walls. Frank began to explain what he had discovered and how Sonard must be planning to infect the planet, which could eventually lead to a third world war.

Nick once again kissed frank on his bold patch, which he found very repulsive

Jason and nick left the apartment, only this time they had no encounters with Sonard’s men. It seemed Sonard was not wasting time on vengeance, which seemed rather odd to Jason, which made him more courses than ever.

Carl was in the apartment with Jan when nick burst through the door, and produced a bottle of scotch sliding a drink down the table towards Carl
. They began to discuss what frank had told them, that Sonard might be planning to infect the planet with an ultimate virus, something Sonard had been trying to do as far back as anyone could remember.

The scotch
did not last long, and neither did Carl or nick however, since Jan was really the only one sober, she concluded what Sonard might be up to. Combined with their research in the library she figured Sonard could be planning to start a pandemic of such a mass scale it could destroy mankind.

Jason stood watch as everyone else slept off the whisky, except Jan who forever tumbled on the sofa while Jason scanned the area using his binoculars.

He was looking through the window under cover of darkness, when he noticed a dark blue jeep parked some distance away. Jason kept his eye on the jeep, since it had been there for quite a while. He was just about to wake Jan up to verify that Sonard might be having their apartment under surveillance, when Jason notices one of the doors opening. A man stepped out onto the road, and strolled towards the back of the jeep, Jason switched his binoculars to zoom only it was too dark, and he could not make out what the man was doing, until he saw the man crouch to his knees placing some kind of object across his shoulder. Jason, military, experience kicked into action, He turned around grabbing Jan, snatching her off the sofa yelling,” RPG”.

Jason raced across the room
carrying Jan over his shoulder, and throws her onto the bed with Carl, He then turned the beds upside down shielding everyone. Nicks however, just lay there as the rocket-propelled grenade shattered the window, exploding in the living room sending the remainder of the glass flying across the street. People came out to see what was going on, as the blue jeep sped away,

” Sonard sir, mission accomplished, Carl will trouble you no more
”, said one of Sonard’s hired hands. Sonard was pleased to hear this, and silently put the phone back down. He could now complete his plans, and get rid of Jeramaya, leaving him to accomplish his sadistic, mission to infect the world, Only Sonard had no idea Maya had also deceived him, and had given Jeramaya reason to stay on to prevent this from happening.

Jason was one of the firsts to get out through the back window, dragging Nick behind him
. Carl and Jan followed coughing their guts out from the amount of dust they had inhaled; “I knew something like this would happen”, Shouted Jason.

“Don’t be daft!
How could we know Sonard had us tailed,” said Nick.

“No
! It’s not because of that, Sonard could have taken us out anytime he wanted to, only he had always resulted in trying to get us to give up,” replied Jason.

“Well I can tell you now he might very well have succeeded,” replied nick.

“You idiot don’t you get it! For some reason Sonard has changed his tactics, he now wants us eliminated for good, first the bomb inside the library and now this!”

“Then what do you expect us to do?” said Carl.

“Well for a start we can get the hell out if here, before Sonard figures out we are still alive,” said Jason.

Carl and his mates had hotwired a car, and made their way towards the dockyard were Carl used to berth their own boat, before Sonard decided to blow it to pieces.

They also had stolen a twin
-engine powerboat to make their way to the island, Carl knew the answer to Sonard’s plan could only be found once they discovered what exactly this spearhead from outer space was. He had already told his uncle about Sonard, and not to be alarmed if he ever had some strange visitors, who in some way Jack, Carl’s uncle had a feeling this day would finally come. Jack knew that when he discovered the spearhead, which it could not possibly be manmade, the materials used to construct such a devise did not even exists now a day’s let alone 3000 years ago.

Carl and
his friends flew across the sea heading towards the island; occasionally he would scratch the back of his neck. Since the micro transmitter imbedded into his skin had not yet been discover, it was still transmitting, only Sonard thinking Carl had perished in his last attack, did not bother to man the station which was receiving the very signal, Indicating that Carl was on the go. However Jeramaya was, since Maya had given him the frequency to Carl’s transmitter he had been surveying Carl’s every move?

Carl finally made it to the island where Jack his uncle, who was now in his early sixties was waiting for them. After feasting, indulging themselves in the food jack had prepared for them, Carl informed his uncle about Sonard’s plans, which did not come to any surprise to him.

Jack had lead them towards the basement, reviling the spearhead they had long to set eyes on, they admired its beauty, fascinated since this was the first time that they had ever seen such a bizarre looking devise.

Carl had managed to somehow get it going, where also Carl discovered that he was a half breed just like Maya, which in some way left him devastated only not defeated.

The spearhead began to rotate; sending a homing signal across the airways, which Sonard’s men managed to receive. The spear eventually came crashing down onto floor.

Sonard was out raged, when he was informed that the spear was activated, it somehow seemed that Carl wasn’t killed in the explosion after all, unless some else was operating the spear. “Sir shall I assemble a team,” asked one of his men.

“Don’t bother I will see to it myself,” answered Sonard, and stormed out of the room. Sonard’s team of hired assassins had one last task to complete, only this time Sonard would be accompanying them himself, to see the job through.

Jeramaya was still o
rbiting the earth under cover of their complex cloaking screen; Jeff had also intercepted the homing beacon being transmitted from the spearhead. It only lasted for a few seconds, which meant Carl had not yet managed to operate it properly. Jeramaya knew Carl would reattempt to get the spear rotating the way it should I do, in order to be able to send the signal which activated Sonard’s deep space probe, that eventually would infect his entire colony.

Jeramaya locked on to the homing device, and stationed his spacecraft right above the island, under cover of darkness, undetectable by any sort of radar. Not even Sonard had the ability to locate Jeramaya ship, since the technology being used was ten years more advanced than his own.

Carl had begun to fix the hollow tubing; to stabilize the spear before he tried to get it going again. While Jason followed jack to the shed, were the huge generator needed to power the spearhead, waited for Jason to strip it down one more time, As Jason took off his shirt, the wound he would have received before Jeremy’s intervention, was not there.

Jason began stripping the diesel turbine hoping to get it started, while Carl had finished attaching the steel pipe to the spearhead
. Jan ran up the hill just in time to witness this event, while Jason flipped the switch sending the electrical charge need to get the spearhead rotating once again. They all stood there as the spear began to rotate, gaining speed, waiting for something to happen. Only this time a warm gust of wind blew across the hillside, Jan had to pull her hair to one side as the wind intensified.

“What t
he hell’s going on,” cried jack

“It looks like a storm is moving
in.,” replied Nick

The wind suddenly died down, as the spear rotated faster and faster
. A spark started to leap across the outer prongs onto the center prong; they all stared at the spears magnificence, when a bright, wide beam of light descended from the heavens. They stood their shocked, never expecting something like this to happen, when Jeramaya materialized in front of them.

Every one stood back staring at this tall man; his brilliant white uniform reflected the strong light, creating an aurora around his body, combined with his dark beard, Jeramaya had the appearance of an angle glowing in the light
. Jan covered her mouth and nudged Carl”, it’s just like I read in the library,” she said. “What are you on about?” Replied Carl

“It said, a strong light shall pierce the heavens, and the savoir of mankind shall descend upon the earth,” Said Jan
. Carl thought, that maybe she was right.

Jeramaya
in some way could have been the savoir of humanity, He had traveled across the galaxies to try to save his own people, and now he found him self-fighting for a species unknown to him.

Jeramaya knew he had to restor
e balance to this god forsaken planet, restoring it to its natural owners, the very people nature had intended to become the dominate species, Homo erectus. If one could consider that Sonard had created a species of his own, destroying erectus in the processes, one could also consider that erectus was to become man and not us. Jeramaya could very well be forfeiting the ancient prophases and by restoring balance to our planet, saving the very species nature had created, giving Homo erectus his right to be called man.

Carl slowly approached Jeramaya with Jan by his side; they were frightened not knowing who or what the being in front of them might be
. Jeramaya produced a small electronic gadget from underneath his belt, and deactivated the spear; he grasped it pulling it out from the soil and turned to look at Carl. “Who are you?” Asked Carl
