She shivered and cupped her breast. "You always could
make sweet sound dirty."

"Mm-hmm." My hand caught hers and we massaged her
breast while I nibbled and licked her shoulders. I ran my fingertips down her
back, circling and stroking.

"Ooo... don't stop."

"Don't plan to." I leaned over and caressed her
body with mine, rubbing my cock along her slit as my chest dragged against her
back. I melted over her like a stick of butter on a hot loaf of bread, blending
into her and leaving some of myself behind.

I flicked my tongue in her ear. "Up on your
knees."

"Hm?"

"Like this." I lifted her up and pressed her palms
against the wall. My erection slid up her belly as I moved in close behind her.
I placed my hands over hers and repositioned my cock, slipping in slowly,
taking her body a breath at a time.

She leaned her head back on my shoulder, and I kissed her
open mouth, stroking her tongue and sucking her lip. She wiggled a hand free
and grabbed my ass, guiding my thrusts while I teased her clit with my fingers.

Her breath caught as I put my hand on her throat and held
her. She grabbed the top of the headboard, clinging with curled fingers. She
came with soft moans and quiet shudders, squeezing my cock inside her hot
pussy.

"Harder," she gasped.

I slammed into her cunt, smashing her body against the wall.

"Oh my God!" She cried out as the ridged headboard
left welts on her skin.

I stroked her neck and panted in her ear. "Is that what
you wanted?"

"Yes." But she shook her head. "Squeeze
harder."

Squeeze? My hand?
I curled my fingers into her throat
just slightly, testing. "This?"

She gasped and nodded as her pussy clenched. Fire raced
along my cock as her eyes closed and she convulsed.
Holy shit!
I let go
and she collapsed against my chest, panting and... laughing?

"Talia, are you okay?"

"Mmm...." She slid her hand behind my neck.
"Dear God, Will. You have no idea.... I come so hard when...." Her
body twitched again and she pulled my hair. I let go of her and she slid down
my chest and curled up on the bed with a satisfied smile on her face.

What just happened?
I lay beside her and rubbed my
stinging scalp, trying to piece together what had occurred, but comprehension
eluded me. She came harder than I'd ever experienced, and all I did was...
fucking
scary
.

I pulled the covers back, and we crawled between the sheets.
She rolled into my arms and kissed me, stretching out while my still hard cock
slipped between her thighs. "Oh hi." She reached down and stroked me.
"I'll finish you later. I need a little rest." She snuggled against
my chest and went to sleep.

Sometime later, no idea when, she rolled on her back and her
thighs fell apart.
An invitation?
Her eyes remained closed, passive
until I touched her flat nipple and it stiffened in my palm. A tiny smile
lifted the corner of her mouth, and that was all the encouragement I needed.

I slid on top of her and kissed that naughty grin. "Had
enough rest?"

"Have you?"

I grunted and rubbed my instant hard-on between her legs,
coaxing her juices from the inside out. "Always wet."

"Always hard." She shifted and my cock penetrated
her.

"Only with you." With other women, I had to make
an effort to get it up, but with Talia, all I needed was an opportunity.

She wrapped her legs around my waist and we rocked together,
sliding and stroking, locked together in a carnal kiss. I twisted my fingers
with hers and stretched our arms out. Her body rose as I kissed her, and we
fucked in a tangled knot of skin and sweat. She moaned and whispered words that
made no sense. Sometimes not even words. I maintained my grip, afraid if I let
go, she'd slip away from me for good.

"I need you," she sighed on my skin.

"But you don't want me."

"Yes, I–Oh!" She squealed and protested as I
grabbed her hair and yanked her head back. A devious smile danced in her eyes.
"I want you, too."

Too?
I refused to listen to any more of her sweet,
confusing words.

She gasped and panted while I pounded her, shattering the
walls between truth and deception. I'd promised myself I'd never let her own my
head—or my heart—again, but my resolve crumbled like a sandcastle in a
hurricane. Relentless waves battered my body, and a violent riptide pulled me
under. I surrendered, drowning in a whirlpool of bliss.

When I could breathe again, Talia lay beneath me, our bodies
still sticky and twisted. She sighed and trailed her fingertips through my
hair, down my back. Had she come, too?

"You okay?" She touched my cheek. "You were
out if it for quite a while."

"Hm? Yeah. Just catching my breath." I squeezed
her waist and she groaned.

"You're squashing me."

"I know." I kissed her cheek and she giggled.

"Let go."

"Don't want to." But I rolled over and took her
with me. "Better?"

"Mmm...." Her hair spilled into my face as she
leaned down and kissed me. Then she patted my shoulder and stood up. "Need
water."

I watched her cute little ass wiggle as she walked naked to
the fridge.

She opened the door and looked at me. "Want
something?"

"No. I'm good."

She cracked open a bottle of water and took a big gulp. Too
much, too fast. Water splashed down her chest and dripped from her nipple.
"Woo! That's cold."

"Com'ere."

"Just one second." She tapped a key on her laptop
and woke up the screen. I watched over her shoulder as she checked her email.
"Nothing, damn it."

"Expecting something?" Stupid question.
What's
wrong with you?

"No. Just hoping." She sat on the edge of the bed
and set the water bottle on the nightstand. Then she sighed and cuddled up with
me. "I love your big, hard body. You're so strong and comforting...
secure. I only feel that way with you."

Scary but exciting.
She'd said she only felt that way
with Alex. I pulled the sheet over her bare shoulder and curled my finger under
her chin. "Did you come?"

"Which time?"

"Every time."

"Yes." She smiled and snuggled against my chest.

As if it mattered. Talia could have a thousand orgasms, but
one man couldn't keep her happy.
That's what matters. I want to make her
happy.
But I couldn't. Not by myself. "I don't want you with
Alex."

"What?" She'd been trying to sleep, so my
statement hadn't sunk in.

"But I want you to be happy. So if you really want
him... I'll see what I can do." I reached over and turned off the light so
I wouldn't have to see the excitement in her eyes.

Alex always hired the sexiest assistants. Her snug black
skirt slid up her silky thighs as she crossed her legs and picked up the phone.
She'd buttoned her blouse up to her chin, but I got a peek at a red lace bra
when it popped open as she reached for a pen.

"Thanks. I'll tell him." She smiled at me as she
put the receiver down. Pretty blue eyes sparkled behind a strand of soft brown
hair. "He's on his way up, Mr. Barnett."

"Call me Will. And you are...?"

"Claire." She blushed and shook my hand. Soft,
soft skin made to be touched. "Can I get you something to drink?"

"Coffee, please."

"Yes, sir." She disappeared down a small hallway.

I'd left Talia's room before she woke up, and went back to
mine for a quick shower and a horrible cup of weak instant coffee. I needed
something with hair on its chest to get through this meeting.

The clack of three-inch heels on ceramic tile got my
attention. Claire handed me a steaming cup of black coffee strong enough to
throw me through the window. "That's what I needed. Thank you."

"My pleasure." Her subdued tone left no doubt that
serving was indeed her pleasure.

"Hey." The office door swung open and Alex walked
in. "Didn't expect to see you today."

"Didn't expect to be here." When Talia called me,
I'd only intended to see her. But now I had a mission, a purpose.

"What's going on?"

I glanced at Claire, busy at her computer, and nodded toward
Alex's office. He escorted me inside.

"No calls, Claire."

"Yes, sir."

He closed the door behind us and leaned back on it, crossing
his arms as if guarding himself against me. "I see you still have a scar
on your lip."

"Yeah. Damn thing won't fade."

A snarling grin twisted his lips. "Nice."

"Your paralegal's cute." I raised my cup toward
the outer office. "Fucked her yet?"

"No. Thought about it, but I don't want to risk my
job."

"Thinking with your head instead of your dick for a
change. I'm impressed."

His jaw twitched. "Did you come here to snipe at me or
do you have a point?"

Might have been fun to needle Alex some more, but I didn't
want to waste my whole day on him. "Stop being an asshole."

"In general or to someone specific?"

"Talia."

He rubbed the back of his neck and scowled. "Yeah, I
figured she had something to do with this. Fucked her yet?"

"Made her come four times last night—no—five, but I'm
not here to gloat." But it felt damn good. "Grow up and treat her
right."

"This from the guy bragging about banging her?"

Ouch. Got me.
"Okay, I'll back off that. But I'm
serious about what you did to her."

His fists clenched, and he took a step toward me. "Just
what the fuck did I do?"

I stood my ground. "No more games. She's not our little
plaything anymore. Never should've been."

His hands uncurled, and his shoulders sagged. "Yeah, I
know. But she's gotten a lot stronger since we screwed her over."

"And that's why you—
we
—need to man up and handle
her like something precious. She'll break if we keep mistreating her." I
finished my coffee and looked for a trash can. Not seeing one, I lobbed the
empty cup at his head.

Alex caught it one-handed and laughed. "She told me she
likes that."

She'd come harder than I'd ever felt when I put my hand on
her throat. "Mistreating her emotions."

He walked behind his desk and jammed the cup in the trash.
"She's done the same damn thing to me."

"This isn't about you!" I slammed my fists down on
his desk. "Stop being so fucking selfish and give her what she
needs."

He lunged forward, fists clenching as if he wanted to hit
me. "And just what the hell is that?"

I stepped back and plopped down in a chair. "Beats the
hell out of me, but when she figures that out,
you'll
be the first to
know."

"I will?" He walked around his desk and sat on the
edge, leaning over me like he couldn't wait to hear more.

"She wants you. Last night with me... that was
goodbye."

"Did she say that?"

"She didn't have to." I'd purposely left without
saying it, before she had a chance to say it to me. As long as neither one of
us said it was over, maybe....

"But she said she wants
me
." Hope lit his
eyes.

"Yeah." Admitting that required more coffee.
"But if you don't make her happy, I'll kick your ass over the
Rockies." I swung my foot up between his legs, stopping short of his
crotch when he flinched. He got the idea.

"I'll let you do it. She deserves better than me."

"Goddamn right." Better than
us.
She'd said
she wanted me, too, but I kept that detail for myself. "So you need to be
the best man for her."

He propped his chin up with his fist and rubbed his jaw.
"Without letting her get bored."

I laughed and stood up. "Good luck."

Alex stood with me and shook my hand. "When are you
leaving?"

"Tomorrow."

"Got time for a beer?" He opened the door and we
walked out to the lobby.

"Sure."

"Court will be done by five. Meet me back here and
we'll go grab a cold one."

"Sounds good." I turned to Claire, about to ask
for another cup of coffee, but the question caught in my throat when I spotted
her companion.

Talia stood beside Claire's desk, her lips pressed into a
hard line. "I thought you were leaving this morning."

"Flight got delayed. I'm stuck here tonight."

Her eyes narrowed. "Where are you staying?"

"I have a room."

"I see." She grabbed her laptop case and walked
into the conference room.

I couldn't help grinning at Alex. "She's all
yours."

"Thanks." He rolled his eyes and followed her.

Claire slid her chair back. "So you and Talia know each
other?"

Not answering that question
. "Great coffee. Can
I get another one for the road?"

"Sure." She disappeared again. She'd kicked off
her heels, revealing cherry-red painted toenails in silky stockings. Her
footsteps fell softly on the hard floor. "Where are you headed?"

"No idea. What do you recommend?"

She sat behind her desk and rested her chin in her hands. A
wistful sigh escaped her. "If I had a day to myself, I'd take a drive to
the mountains."

"Want to play tour guide?"

Claire smiled and glanced at the closed conference room
door. "I'd love to get away, but Alex wouldn't be too pleased about
that."

"I doubt he'd even notice. She'll have him wrapped up
all day."

She shook her head. "I have too much work." And
with that, her phone rang. She picked up the receiver and immediately punched
the hold button. A sweet tempting smile danced in her eyes. "But if you
come back, let me know in advance."

"I'll remember that." I walked through the door
and looked out the window at the mountains. Most of the snowcap had melted, but
the highest peaks still bore patches of white. The clear blue sky stretched for
miles in every direction.
Beautiful country.
A man could be tempted to
stay here... if she did.
