“I have to touch you. I want to feel you get wet all over me.” I looked into his face with lips curved up in happiness. My eyes darted down to see the evidence of his patience standing at complete attention.

“We’ll be fixing that soon. I just wanted to make sure you were completely ready.” The confidence in his reply made me anticipate what was to come. Was I ever? The deep hunger in his voice lit a fire in my stomach again. Any nervousness or fear had long left my emotions.

I reached over to grab the white washcloth on the tub and I poured some bath gel into it. After thoroughly lathering it up, I decided to get rid of the wash cloth and just use my hands. I started with his shoulders and couldn’t help kissing his face as I did it.

“Touching you feels so right to me.” The emotion was so close to the surface I couldn’t help but tell him.

“I’m glad, because I won’t be able to handle you touching any other man like this.” He wanted to keep me. It felt so real and surreal at the same time. Our lips joined again as I continued to wash him thoroughly, all over that lean, hard chest. Finally, my hands came down to his hips. One hand slid down to grab onto his hard, thick arousal.

Alexander closed his eyes and leaned his head back in pleasure. I wanted more. I wanted to watch him come undone as he had done to me. My legs brought themselves tightly around him and I moved the tip of him around on my swollen, pink center. I was intending to tease him, but instead brought myself to another deeply aroused state.

His husky words pierced the air, “I have to have you now.”

His warm hands pulled me up and towel dried me off. I grabbed another plush white towel and started to dry him, too. Alexander brought us both over to the bed. He put me down flat on my back and began to kiss his way up my naked body. With each kiss he lit a flame on my skin. Little bites were scattered around. That sexy tongue found its way to my already tormented nipples and started to suck and bite. His warm and hard body slid all over me. One hand reached up to continue playing with my nipples while his lips started to work their way down to my navel. I rose up, using my arms for support, to protest as a moan came out of my mouth.

“I want to suck on your sweet wet lips down here again, Layna.”

“Later.” Heavy breaths while I tried to focus before his lips stared their descent. “I need you right now. Then you can do whatever you want.” No hesitation. I knew exactly what I wanted.

He sat up in between my legs and put his hand around the part of him I wanted most right now.

“Is this what you want, Layna?”

Yes! The words were trapped

I nodded.

“I want to hear it from those sexy lips.” Dominance emanated all over him and I wanted more. I knew he would give in eventually, but I liked telling him.

“I want you inside me.” I could have said so many other dirty, erotic things, but that was what came out for now. There would be other times. Another thought flickered through my head for a moment.

What about protection?

We were Healers, and I wanted to feel all of him.

Alexander put one of my legs down and left the other bent at the knee. He watched as he pushed in one finger, then two, then pulled them out. He leaned over me and put his hands on my waist. I started to feel him push at my wetness and thought I would die of pleasure.

We both moaned when he was halfway in. I felt my legs shiver from the shock to my body. He had brought one arm down to my uplifted knee to hold it in place and kept the other on my waist. It was so damn beautiful to watch him push himself inside of me. The strain on his face let me know he held back. He didn’t want to hurt me.

“Give me all of you. I need it.” His body quivered for half a second and then he pushed all the way in.

Waves crashed all over my body. I knew we were in this bed, but at that same time we weren’t. He slid in and out so tortuously slow at first and then I raised up my body a little to wrap my hands around his tight ass and push him faster. I wanted it all over and over again.

Screams and moans and the friction of our skin were the only sounds I could hear and they enticed me along. Our bodies together felt sealed in some unbreakable way in this moment. I never wanted to be without this again.

I felt him getting harder and deeper and knew he was close. My muscles instinctively wrapped themselves around him tighter, until we were both rocking back and forth with uncontrollable motions. He pushed in and out with such precision that my tightness swelled and I was screaming and shaking all over, with the evidence of my pleasure all over him. Once more and he lost himself inside of me and brought his wet, hot body down on top of my breasts.

The fast beating of his heart brought warmth all around me. We had given each other this amazing pleasure. Having him inside of me had snapped something loose in my body and mind. I had let go and trusted him in a way that was unknown to me before. The rope I had felt earlier pulling us now felt like a steel pole holding me to him for eternity.

A hot breath in my ear said, “I can’t wait to do that again.” Then he flexed himself inside of me.

Loud giggles came from me and soon we laughed together. Our bodies rolled to lie facing each other and he slipped out of me as a moan crossed my lips again. I missed him already.

“Did I hurt you?” A serious look crossed his face.

“No, I wasn’t ready for you to leave yet.” Our faces were barely a hair apart and he leaned closer to seal our lips. Even after everything we had just done, a simple touch of our lips sent a current running through my body. Strong arms wrapped around me to hold us close and I felt him ready again.

Chapter Seventeen

My eyes opened after an unknown amount of sleep and nothing had scared me awake. This qualified as the best night’s sleep for me in days. And technically, it was just a nap. The only light visible outside was from the stars in the sky. The window was so big that I could see them even from the bed. I gazed at them lazily as I rested in this man’s arms. It was shocking how being out away from the city brought all the shining glimmers in the sky. They were still there in the city, but we couldn’t see them because of all the other bright distractions in the night. Here, in this beautiful place, they were free to be seen. My heart felt like it had been seen for the first time here. I turned my eyes to Alexander’s face and saw his gaze locked on me, those dark eyes filled with golden specks that reminded me of tourmaline.

I was about to speak when he leaned over and wrapped his arms around me to pull me into a hug. Suddenly there was a lump in my throat. How could he affect me this way?

The sound of a phone came from the night table on his side and interrupted my thoughts. He kept one arm on me and used the other to reach behind.

“Yes, Trevor.” I smiled when I thought about the kind people we had met earlier. Then a frown formed slightly when I recalled that we had to eventually get out of this bed to meet them for dinner. Other memories shot back in my head, something about shields?

“We’ll be there. Thanks.” The phone was placed back on the wooden table next to the bed and he brought our bodies back together.

“Did you get enough rest?” The playful look in his eyes brought me to giggles again and I remembered laughing with him before we had fallen asleep. Then I felt his hand slide up and down the skin on my back until it reached my bottom.

“You have such an intoxicating body. I plan to get to know it a lot better.” A small squeeze to my rear and then serious eyes.

“I need to work with you on a few things before we join them. Why don’t you get a shower and then we can get started?” The thoughtfulness in his expression touched my heart. I fell deeper. I needed to slow this a little before I threw my legs up at him for round two and proclaimed my undying love.

My body felt reenergized after the hot shower. Drops of water continued to cascade down my body from my hair while I stood in front of the bags and the closet where we had semi unpacked. I heard the shower start for Alexander as I pulled my towel off. As I began to squeeze out some of the water droplets from my hair, I noticed a dress in the closet that I had not packed. It was a long-sleeve knit dress with touches of gray and black all over. The shiny rhinestones on the front shimmered as I tugged it closer. It appeared to be my size, but I didn’t want to be presumptuous. I slid on the bra and panties and t-shirt that I had thrown in the bag when I had packed with Leo. It felt like a lifetime ago. I would have to call him and talk to him somehow. I owed him an explanation, more than the generic text I had sent him along with all my other friends about my sudden departure. Sliding to the floor softly, I consumed myself with guilt at my actions. Then I remembered I didn’t have time to wallow in this right now. I had to learn about shields from Alexander. I also needed to find out if this beautiful dress was for me.

“Alexander?” I tapped on the bathroom door while he was in the shower. I didn’t want to just walk in and invade his privacy completely, even though we had gone way past being just acquaintances. I heard the shower stop and the sound of the glass door close. The room was equipped with a separate bathroom in addition to the tub in the room. I looked longingly at the tub and got nice little chills all over.

“Come in, beautiful.” The longing in those words was enough to bring back memories of a few hours earlier. With a smile on my face, I walked in.

“Hi.” Shy words fell out of my mouth when I saw him. The height of his masculine body was shocking enough, but now he had wet trickles all over that silky hair and water drops that lingered on his skin. There was a white towel wrapped around his sexiness, but I was still in awe.

“Do you like what you see?” His face was focused on mine with a little bit of seriousness. How could he not know that it made my body weak just looking at him? I casually walked over to the bathroom counter in my t-shirt and cotton panties. My hands pressed down on the counter while I lifted my body to sit on it.

“Not at all. I much prefer the towel off.”

He dropped the towel.

My mouth fell open. His lips grabbed mine in a fervor that caused fires in some places. I brought one of my hands up to his hair. I wanted to caress it and grab it all at once. Alexander broke the kiss with regret all over his face.

“I would love to just bury myself in you for the rest of the night, but we really have some work to do before dinner.” The throbbing heat pushing on my panties argued his point in a tangible way. My head fell on his shoulder and rubbed up and down his back in soft long strokes.

“Is this real?” Soft words that were filled with innocence.

“I’ve never felt anything more real.” A deep, warm sound against my neck where he kissed after speaking.

I pushed myself back and placed my palms on the front of his shoulders as I began to remember why I came in here to begin with. “I found a dress in the closet that looks like my size. Is it for me?”

“Yes.” He kissed my nose and then looked back up. “Irena brought it for you when she knew we were leaving town in a rush.”

“Oh.” Delight sounded in my tone as I realized I would be able to put on some decent clothes for dinner. I jumped off the counter and headed off to put on the dress.

We were both dressed and sat at the small round table in the kitchen. It hadn’t taken me that long since my hair was maintenance free. All it does is lie straight. I did put on a little powder and gloss that was in my travel bag.

“Shielding is the way we throw Hunters off of our scent. Some, not all of them, have the ability to find us. Similar to the way I found you.” A smile creased his face at the memory. “I’ve shielded you while you were with me. It’s a technique most Guards can do to protect their Healers. I can continue to do it for you, but it’s important for you to learn to as well.” The unspoken words were laying there.

In case he wasn’t with me.

I most certainly did not believe in fairy tales, but at this moment I wanted to believe I would have him forever. I knew I was being ridiculous and of course needed to learn this, but I still felt a little sad to imagine not having him with me. I started to bite on my lower lip as I spoke.

“I’m at your mercy. Teach me.” I attempted to disguise my silly thoughts with playful words.

He grabbed onto both of my hands on the table and began to rub them.

“Close your eyes.” Alexander’s voice had gone soft. “I want you to take a few deep breaths in and out. Relax.” At first it was a little hard for me to relax with our hands touching. I pulled my hands out of his.

“I’m sorry, but those hands are doing crazy things to my head.” A lighthearted smile crossed my face and then I returned to the exercise. I breathed in and out and was almost in a dreamlike state when he spoke again.

“Your mind is free and open now. I can feel it. I’m going to start pushing on you mentally. I want you to push out with all of your energy when you feel it.” The energy that came off of his body was a silent buzz in the back of my mind. I turned within to be prepared.

It was barely a pinprick before I knocked it out. The sensation was natural, to my delight. I felt the controls he spoke about immediately. My eyes opened to look over at him.
