The Zombies trained themselves to make time a big part of all their plans and made sure to keep their watches synchronized and did their best to do everything in the time they were given, even if gunshot wounds played a part. Shawn’s distraction gave them all enough time to get back to the den and Mike did his best to tend to Avery’s wounds while Geeze paid his friend Dr. Sonja one more visit.

“Pst,” he whispered from behind her medical tent. She immediately got nervous but instead of calling him out and getting him in trouble, she came up with an excuse to leave for a second and met him. “Everything you need should be in here,” he said, “now fix my mom.” “Wh-what, but how,” she stuttered. “Don’t worry about it, if you’re a doctor then all you should care about is making sure people don’t die, so take this bag and save our fucking camp!” Something about his comment hit a resonated with her and after a silent second of apologetic eye contact with Geezus, she snatched the bag and went back to her tent.

Geezus noticed the regret and remorse in her eyes and part of him felt a little sorry for his earlier behavior. He knew that it wasn’t her fault, that she was just taking orders from the dicks in charge, but he kept his sorrys to himself and went back to check on his friend and hopefully get his brother out of lockdown. “How is he,” Geeze asked walking through Avery’s back door. “Ehh he’s good, is just a gunshot,” Mike replied with laughter, “Oh and don’t worry about your brother, D.A. already went to get him.” “Oh word?” “Alrighty then, where’s the beer?”
