He began wrapping the vampire’s body
with the ten-foot fine chain, first looping it around his neck and
then draping it down his chest. He paid special attention to the
vampire’s cock, wrapping it ever so gently with the shiny metal.
The vampire, for his part, screamed out in sheer agony and Harlan
wondered how long it would be before the police patrols, which were
in the vampire’s employ, came to check on their master’s plight.
Perhaps they wouldn’t come at all, he thought. There was a reason
to have the policemen near your house of torture on the payroll,
after all.

“What will the neighbors think?”
Harlan muttered, barely able to stifle a giggle.

“Free me,” Shade begged as his skin
smoked, “and I will not speak of this to my master.”

Harlan couldn’t help but laugh out
loud. “Really? And what would happen to me?”

Shade stifled the urge to scream out
at him but Harlan cut him off, “No, it doesn’t matter. I will
destroy your master, just as I’m going to destroy you.”

The vampire screamed in agony and
Harlan returned to the cubby once more and selected the largest
silver dildo he could find. It was just like the vampires, he
thought, to be so arrogant that they had an object, like the metal
pecker that could kill them with in arm’s reach. He slid back up to
the vampire and whispered in his ear as he slipped the dildo into
his ass.

“It’s a shame you have to die,”
Harlan whispered with a kiss. “You’re a pretty good
fuck.”

As the vampire smoked and struggled
against the silver bindings, Harlan opened the door, for once
relieved at the bright sunshine that filled the room. Shade erupted
in fire, behind him, screaming, as he stepped into the
morning.

He found Frankie curled up in the
fetal position behind the dumpster at the back of the parking lot
where Shade had attempted to kill him. The big man barely hung on
for life and the vision was not unlike the memory of his pack dying
in the woods. He perked up when he saw Harlan, though, and cracked
a smile.

“You were not lying about being a
werewolf, where you?”

“I was not,” Harlan admitted. The
big man would make a wonderful member of the pack, once he healed
and if he survived the process. It would have to wait, though,
until the next full moon. The hunger already pulled at him and he
knew if he were to try and convert the big man on this moon he
would devour him, the animal side of his spirit unable to determine
the desire from the hunger. Frankie was a powerful man and would
perhaps, one day, make a powerful ally as he hunted the rest of
Bahl’s clan into extinction. It would take careful planning but
he’d already made the first step and by now Shade’s master knew he
was coming.

He would avenge his pack or he would
die trying.

“And that thing that tried to kill
me... it was a vampire?”

“There has been a war,” Harlan
began, “since the beginning of time.”

“I... you were serious that I could
join you?”

“If you survive the process,” Harlan
said as he helped the wounded man he hope to make not just a member
of his pack, but a lover, to his feet. “And it will be
difficult.”

“I am willing,” Frankie said,
gripping his side where the vampire had torn through
him.

“Then we have much work to do,”
Harlan said, leading him to his car and escape into the
sun.

The vampires would be coming, he
knew, but he’d be ready for them.
