I want a man who treats me like the rare young woman I am, a man who spoils me before he fucks me, one who can look into my sultry eyes and direct conversation towards my intelligence not just direct his dick towards my banging body
, Mercy finally admitted to herself.
God
, Mercy continued,
I'm really not succeeding at this spontaneous bullshit at all, am I? I'm failing miserably
.

The silence in the train car was deafening and Mercy began thinking about the handsome strong chinned man who defended her against Michael T. Cone's stiff coffee covered cock, from the last train car she was sitting in.
Maybe that's what I want
, Mercy pondered,
a man who'll fight for me
.

Thinking about the handsome chinned man a bit more, Mercy's eyes couldn't help but stare at the Eastern European man's stiff stilted cock a bit more as he made a few adjustments with his pants to relieve his tent pole from being uncomfortably tugged by his shiny belt buckle. Eventually, the Eastern European man clumsily stumbled back to his unsteady feet, and made his way to the door, where he exiting the train car in utter disgrace.

Returning to her seat, Mercy turned her head towards the window again and looked up towards the moonlit clouds dangling form the sky. She began to think about how lucky they were that they were never alone.

“Pretty, huh?”

She heard a man's deep voice say, startling her enough to turn towards it. She recognized his stony eyes right away and she smiled back at him. His strong chin hung just below his crooked smile.

“It's a nice looking night out there, right?” The man who defended her earlier, looked past Mercy's face, out towards the illuminated clouds in the midnight sky as he spoke.

Mercy turned back towards the window, feeling the train move fast along the tracks, the clouds seeming to permanently remain anchored in their place like pictures hanging from a wall.

“It really is,” Mercy answered him softly, almost bringing the flask to her lips before closing the lid instead of taking another drink.

“Do you mind if I sit?” her defender asked her.

“I don't mind at all,” Mercy replied deciding to restrain herself a bit more than she had before.

Tousling her hair so that it dangled in a chaotic fashion, Mercy and her defender began talking about everything she imagined a man could ask her. He respected her and seemed to see a beauty in her beyond her manicured nails.

Despite her voluptuous curves, the man's interests seem to lie more in her intellect, her goals, and her ambitions, and Mercy never felt more comfortable with a man than this man she had just met.

Mercy, for the second time in her young life, met a man she felt comfortable with almost immediately, and soon became determined not to let her newly ascribed impassivity ruin her pursue of it.

She decided to sit back and just see where the rest of the night might take her...

Relighting the Flame

by
Angela Keller

Karissa hissed under her breath as she looked under the hood of her car. From what she was seeing she was pretty sure she was going to need a tow. This was nothing she could fix on the side of the road with the few tools in her trunk.

She leaned back against her vehicle and took out her cell, dreading the phone call she was about to make. The only tow service in town was run by the last person she wanted to see—her ex-boyfriend, Mac. He’d probably give her hell about not taking care of her car, even though she got it serviced it regularly.

She recognized his voice instantly when he picked up, the sound of it still sending a little shiver down her spine. It drove her crazy that he could still get to her like that, but she brushed it off for the moment and greeted, “Hey, Mac. It’s Karissa.”

“What kind of trouble did you get yourself into this time?” he wondered, his voice slightly muffled. He probably had a cigarette between his lips.

“I just need my car towed to the shop. I’m over on Main Street.”

“Seems like there’s always something wrong with that POS,” Mac taunted, a hint of a smile in his voice. “I’ll be right over.”

“Thanks.”

Karissa sighed and hung up, frustrated by the tension in her gut. This guy was bad news and she knew it. No matter how good of a guy he could be, he was always trouble in the end, but that didn’t seem to matter to her hormones. They still ran wild every time she spoke to him.

When the truck pulled onto the street Karissa felt her stomach give a little lurch. Why did Mac have to come himself? Wasn’t he busy? Why couldn’t he just send one of the other guys?

The questions zipped through her mind as she watched him pull in front of her car and step out, still wearing his blue mechanic coveralls. Good lord, he looked good in those and the work boots didn’t help her dilemma.

“Hey, girl,” he said, nodding at her as he sauntered over to her car. “Mind if I take a look under the hood?”

She frowned at the suggestive glimmer in his eyes and stepped to the side so he could check out the engine.

“Feel free.”

She couldn’t help the way her gaze roamed over him as he bent over slightly and examined the damage. He had an amazing body with just the right amount of wiry muscle, broad shoulders, and sexy, slender hips.

Karissa shifted slightly, trying to ignore the light tingling that was already starting between her legs. It wasn’t right the way he turned her on without a single touch. That was why their turbulent relationship had lasted for two years—the sex was incredible and he was irresistible to her.

Mac got everything set up and when it was time to go back to the shop Karissa got into the truck with him. She placed her hands in her lap and fidgeted as she stared out the window, doing her best not to look at him.

“So, how have you been, ‘Riss?” he wondered, glancing over at her.

“Not bad, I guess; working all the time. How are you?”

“Same… been missing you.” He reached over and placed his hand on her thigh, letting it roam up her leg just enough to tease her.

“You don’t miss me; you miss what’s between my legs,” Karissa countered, pushing his hand away.

He shrugged and grabbed the wheel again, smirking. “Like you don’t miss what’s between mine?”

She frowned at that and bit the inside of her lip. Yes, she definitely missed it and it was driving her insane at the moment. She wanted more than anything for him to pull that truck over and just take her right there, but she wasn’t going to tell him that.

“Can’t we be in the same vicinity without you hitting on me?” she sighed.

“Nope.”

Karissa’s heart started to race as he suddenly veered onto an empty back road, the truck slowing down as he did so. She couldn’t deal with this. If he started making moves on her she knew she wouldn’t hold out for long.

As Mac pulled the vehicle to a stop completely he draped his arm across the seat behind her and moved a little closer.

“I see the way you keep looking at me, ‘Riss,” he teased, his calloused fingertips trailing up the back of her neck. His touch made goose bumps rise all over her skin and she hated that her body gave her away so easily.

“Mac, please don’t do this,” she groaned, avoiding his jade eyes. “I just want to get my car fixed.”

“It’ll get fixed, babe. This is just a little detour.”

He winked and turned her face up to him, leaning in dangerously close. She subconsciously licked at her lips, staring at his eagerly and trying to control the rapid beating of her pulse.

She knew she should pull away as his lips drew closer to hers, but as his familiar scent washed over her she couldn’t fight him. She let him kiss her softly, remaining still for a long moment as he did so, but eventually she started to return the gesture.

He tasted so familiar—like mint and cigarettes—and his hands felt so nice as they slid down her body to hold her hips. No matter how much it bothered her, she missed him. She missed being close to him and she missed the way that he could make her feel.

He moved his lips down her jaw and neck, gently trailing kisses over her skin. She shivered in response, a small sigh escaping her as her hands moved to his shoulders. He was so good with his mouth, teasing her and making her body tingle with pleasure. No matter how badly she wanted to turn him away, that just made her want him even more.

“This isn’t fair,” she sighed, leaning back against the door as he kissed down her chest to the tops of her breasts, which were exposed by her tank top. “We aren’t even together.”

“Who says we gotta be together to do this?” he challenged, looking up at her and smirking. He looked so good, his eyes hooded mysteriously and lust written all of over his face.

She just shook her head and smirked back, trying to muster up the strength to stop him. She didn’t seem to have it in her as his hands roamed down her body, sliding slowly into her jeans. She craved his touch desperately and wanted nothing more than to feel that familiar friction.

When his fingers slid slowly over her already moistened slit she let out a small whimper, biting her lip. He knew just how to touch her, applying just enough pressure to elicit a taunting wave of pleasure each time he moved his fingers.

His free hand slipped into her hair, gripping it lightly and tilting her head back. His lips began to devour her neck and his tongue swept out to taste her skin now and again.

Karissa’s eyes drifted shut as she got lost in the way he was making her feel, her hands sliding down his back and her head resting on the window. Somewhere in the back of her mind she was still aware that this was a terrible idea, but her body seemed to disagree.

She rolled her hips, wanting his fingers inside of her, but as he went to obey she forced herself back into reality. She couldn’t do this with him. They had split up for a reason.

“Mac, seriously, we can’t do this,” she protested, sitting up straight and removing his hand from her jeans. “Just take me to the shop, please.”

He frowned at her and irritably moved back to his seat, starting the truck back up. He didn’t speak for the rest of the drive and she was thankful. She didn’t want to argue with him; silence was much better than that option.

When they got back to the shop Karissa called a cab, ready to get away from her ex. She didn’t even want to come back to get her car when it was fixed, but she knew she didn’t have a choice. As she rode home she tried not to relive what had happened in his truck, but it was impossible. Just like always he got inside of her head and stayed there.

It was so hard to shake Mac after she saw him again, especially when things went how they had that day. As Karissa sat on her couch at home, sipping her tea and watching television, she barely saw what was on the screen.

Her mind swam with images of Mac on top of her, his lips and hands all over her as he moved inside of her. She chewed the inside of her lip and tried to ignore how ridiculously turned on it was making her.

It would be incredibly easy to call him. He’d come over in a second if he knew he could get what he wanted from her and the idea was all too tempting. She pulled her cell phone from her pocket and toyed with it, spinning it in her hand and wondering what she should do.

Of course she knew the smart answer to that question, but she didn’t feel like being smart this time. She wanted to listen to her body's urges for once and just give in, because choosing not to was proving to be much too frustrating.

With a sigh Karissa flipped through her contacts, somewhat ashamed that his number was even still listed. She probably should have deleted it when they broke up, but she didn’t have it in her to do that.

She clicked the call button and put the phone to her ear, her nerves starting to act up as it began to ring. This was a ridiculous idea and she really shouldn’t do it…

“Hey, ‘Riss,” he greeted, proving to her that she wasn’t the only one who had held onto their ex’s number.

“Hi…so, uh… I’ve been thinking a lot about what happened when you picked me up and I wanted to know if you wanted to come over,” she invited somewhat hesitantly. She really hoped he didn’t give her hell about this.

“Yeah, alright,” he accepted coolly. “I’ll be right over.”

“Okay, see you soon then.”

“Yeah. See you.”

Once they hung up Karissa tucked her phone away and tried not to let guilt set in. She was a grown adult with needs and there was nothing wrong with letting someone she was comfortable with take care of them.

When she heard him knock on the door about fifteen minutes later she got up from the couch slowly. Common sense was still trying to talk her down, but she wasn’t going to let it this time. She wanted him and that was all there was to it.

She opened the door, smiling a bit sheepishly, and said quietly, “C’mon in.”

He stepped inside and she closed the door behind him, admiring his attire. He wore jeans and a flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up, which was a look she was incredibly fond of.

“Thought you didn’t want to sleep with me,” he pointed out. He wasn’t taunting her, that she could tell. He was genuinely curious as to why she had changed her mind.

“It’s not that I didn’t want to, I just didn’t think it was a good idea.” She shrugged and leaned against the back of the couch.

“So, is it a better idea now?” he wondered.

“Not really, but I don’t care,” she replied simply.

He nodded and thought on her response for a second as he stepped closer to her. When he reached her he placed his hands on her hips and said, “Well, I don’t care either, so I guess we’re good.”

“I guess so.”

They didn’t waste any more time on talk. The questions and concerns were out of the way and there was only one thing left on their minds.

Mac leaned in and kissed her deeply, his hand cupping the back of her neck. His lips moved slowly, but eagerly and his tongue gently slid into her mouth. He was an amazing kisser, drawing her in and making her instantly hungry for more.

Karissa rested her hands on his chest, gripping the soft fabric of his shirt and pulling him closer. Her heart was already racing and her nerves were a tangled mess, but it felt good. He was like an adrenaline rush to her and all he had to do was kiss her.

His free hand gripped her hip, pulling her groin against his, and he whispered against her lips, “I really have missed you.”

“Hush,” she teased, not wanting to admit just how much she missed him back.

She slipped past him and made her way down the hallway, gesturing for him to follow her. He did so without hesitation, knowing from experience that she was heading for her bedroom at the end of the hall.
