He kissed her for long minutes, as long as he could stand it, all the while hanging over her, ready to push into like he

d wanted to his whole damn life.

His tongue stiffened in her mouth as he pulled in oxygen and tried not to release her from his hold. He had a need in his gut that begged him not to let go of her mouth. He

d wanted it for so long. He kissed her with all the fury running through his bloodstream from years of waiting for her.

He never wanted to release her again.

Monica was drowning in desire. Desire for Kyle. He was kissing her with ferocious need and she had to physically break her mouth away and drag in oxygen.

His lips moved to her ear and his hand tightened on her breast. His hot breath washed over her ear.

ve wanted you so long it hurts to think about it.

she whispered.

she urged him.

He moved his hands to her face and he stared into her eyes.

She watched him as he began pushing into her. The feeling was indescribable. It was like nothing she

d ever felt before, it was everything she

d ever dreamed about.

He eased into her a little at a time, and hot, sweet emotion held him in its grip until he was in her as far as he could go. He closed his eyes and pushed in harder, and then harder still.

He opened his eyes to find her watching him, looking into his soul.

t you?
"
His voice was gravelly.

She closed her eyes slowly as his voice washed through her senses.

He pulled out gently, and slammed back in.

She gasped and opened her eyes.

He took another stroke. She began moving with him, in a synchronized motion that left them both panting for air.

He leaned down and kissed her gently and then moved his mouth to her ear.
"
You know it already, don
'
t you Monica?
"
He pulled out, and pushed in.
"
You know I love you, don
'
t you? You know I love you and always have?
"

At the softly spoken avowal, Monica shimmered and came in his arms in a rush of heat and ecstasy. Her arms tightened around him, and she came down slowly while he continued to pump into her, with a look of possessive lust on his face. He was so beautiful. He was
so hers
.

She ran her hands up and down his biceps as his hips slammed into hers repeatedly. He opened his eyes and she looked deep into his soul.

"
I love you, too.
"
She lifted her hands to his face.
"
And I always have.
"

He groaned, a deep vibration coming from his chest, and flew over the edge, safe in her arms.

Epilogue

Monica Weldon carried the fruit tray to the backyard and put it on the picnic table. She looked around the yard with pleasure. Everything was ready for
second Saturday
.

She and Ashley and Julie had started second Saturday six years before, a month after she and Kyle had gotten home from their honeymoon.

At first it was just the six of them, but that had only lasted a couple of months before Julie had given birth to
her daughter
.
A daughter that had shocked everyone, but had nonetheless, pleased Julie and Gibson immensely. Julie had gone into labor the Monday after second Saturday, and the next month, they had brought the new baby girl with them. Emma Gibson-Jones was a big hit and loved by all her aunts and uncles.

The girls had long since decided that all the adults would be
aunts and uncles
, even though, technically, only Ashley and Monica
'
s children were first cousins. It was just too confusing for the second cousins, or the first cousins once removed or whatever the heck they were to each other, to know who was an aunt or an uncle or a really old cousin.

And since that day that Julie and Gibson had introduced baby Emma to her new extended family, that extended family had only grown.

Ashley
had
gotten pregnant on her honeymoon, and Ryan was immensely pleased to be back in
first place
when she gave birth to twins nine months later.

Gibson wasn
'
t down for long. He immediately talked Julie into trying again and before long, they had the little boy they thought they were going to have the first time.

Since then, both couples had each had a third baby. So, Monica and Kyle were now aunt and uncle to six children. Six children that they adored, no less.

Monica looked up from the table when she heard the back door slam. Kyle walked out with a tray of meat ready for the grill in one hand and a baby girl hanging on his hip.
"
Babe, can you take this bundle? Her hands are sticky.
"

Monica smiled and held out her hands. The baby gurgled and lunged for her. She kissed her forehead and looked at her husband.
"
Is anyone here yet?
"

"
Nope, just you and me and the little princess here.
"
He smiled at his wife, set the tray down on the table, and gathered the two of them in his arms.
"
Do you think we made the right decision?
"

Monica leaned against him.
"
About waiting a few more years for another baby?
"

"
Yeah.
"

"
Sure, I think we made the right decision.
"

He looked at her like he wasn

t entirely convinced.

She shook her head back and forth and smiled.

What?

he asked her.

"
We may have made the right decision, but that doesn

t necessarily mean that we get a choice in the matter.
"
Her face was shining.

Their eyes tangled and she could tell he was trying to figure out her meaning. He looked a little sucker-punched.

They stared at each other as the back door slammed and six wild little munchkins came barreling out the door screaming for

, which was what they called their new one-year-old cousin.

Julie and Gibson and Ryan and Ashley weren

t far behind, carrying coolers and toys.

In thirty seconds, the backyard would be a madhouse.

Monica looked at Kyle and decided to take pity on him.

"

His eyes creased into a smile, his lips landed on hers, and the party began.
