I watched the tears fall from her eyes as she stared at me. What the fuck am I doin' right now? Am I really hurtin' the girl that I love, my unborn mother, the one that's been there through my struggle? I can't keep bein' the reason for her tears 'cause it means I ain't worth her time. I walked over to her and took her hands in mine as she stared at me wit' those money green eyes.

"A’Khyia, baby tell me what I gotta do to dry these tears from ya eyes me. I'll do whatever you ask me to do," I said.

"I just want to be happy again Legacy. I want you to keep your promises and keep me first. If you can't do that then baby just let me go and find happiness without you. I don't want to keep feelin' like I’m on a battlefield fightin' the man that I love so much," she said.

"I’ll do better and keep the promises that I made to you. I'm sorry for hurtin' you and makin' you cry, I’m sorry for makin' you feel unwanted and unloved, and I’m sorry for all the important things I forgot. I'll never put you through it again, you are my queen and I love you," I said.

"I love you too Legacy, but those are just words. I need action, show me that you mean every word that you say. Take the proper steps to show me that I’m your queen. Prove to me that you won't put me through all of this again. Until you can do that, then you and I have nothing but our children to discuss," she said.

"I have an appointment to get to. I'll tell you what the doctor says later," she added dryin' her tears.

"You don't want me to go wit' you?" I asked.

"No, I just wanna be alone. Go out and handle business, I’ll talk to you later," she walked out.

What the hell just happened? Did she just low key breakup wit' me and I don't know it?

Khyia

"How are you feeling today, Miss Harris?" Dr. Lee asked.

"I’m fine. Just tired already feel like I’m ready to pop." I chuckled, rubbing my stomach.

"You still have a long way to go before they arrive, but I can see you've been eating well and gaining the proper amount of weight. How are you with the morning sickness?" He asked.

"Umm it's better than it was in the beginning. I'm keeping alot more down than usual," I replied.

"Good to hear. Why don't you lay back and we can check on the little ones," he smiled.

I nodded and lay back on the exam table, lifting my shirt. As soon as I saw my little angels appear on the monitor, all I could do was smile. It was so beautiful, Baby A looked to be sucking its thumb while Baby B was kicking away at my bladder.

.

"Are we able to determine the gender at this time?" I asked.

"We can try, just give me a moment." He said.

I nodded as he began moving the probe around on my stomach. While he was doing that, the room door opened and to my surprise Legacy walks in. I was determined to keep him away from me today, but seeing him walk in the exam room made my heart skip a beat. He spoke to Dr. Lee then stood beside me, holding my hand.

"I love you and I’m sorry," he whispered in my ear.

"Let's just get through this, we'll talk later," I replied, looking up at him.

He just nodded and focused his attention on the ultrasound monitor.

"Well congratulations you two! It looks like you'll be having fraternal twins," he smiled.

"A boy and girl. Legacy did you hear him? We're having a son and daughter!" I said excitedly.

"I heard him baby girl. That's dope," he smiled at the monitor.

I felt my eyes water as I admired the smile on his face. Legacy never really had a family until he became a part of mine in a weird way, now we're gonna have a family of our own with our little prince and princess. He always said that one day he wanted to be a better father to his children than his father was to him; I just hope our children can help him accomplish that.

After Dr. Lee finished my exam and advised me to keep my blood pressure under control, he scheduled my next appointment then we left. I leaned against my car as Legacy stood in front of me, taking an important call. I find it strange that he can always remember important shit dealing with M.S.K. and their business, but he forgets everything dealing with me. Like I said it feels like my father all over again, soon he'll be buying me expensive gifts in order to make up for his bullshit. He ends the call and turns to me as I stare at him with emotionless eyes.

"You still mad at me?" he asks.

"I am, but it was nice of you to show up today," I said.

"It was the least I could do after forgetting. Khy look I-"

"Legacy, I think-"

"Khyia for once just let me talk please," he said.

I nodded and sat on the hood of my car, waiting for him speak.

"Last night, after I left the house, I went down to Platinum's and I had a few drinks. Long story short, I met this chick and I took her back the trap on the west-"

"Did you sleep with her?" I asked

"Yea I did, but I ain't mean to baby. It was a mistake, please understand that I’m sorry. I love you Khyia, I just-"

I threw my hand up, stopping him mid-sentence. This nigga really can't expect me to understand the fact that he fucked another bitch and that he loves me. He's really fucking dumb.

"My nigga you ain't shit! How the fuck you expect me to understand any of the shit you just said? You don't fucking love me. You running 'round here fucking other bitches while I’m pregnant with yo kids. How the fuck you love me? Fuck you Legacy!" I yelled, hopping off my car.

"Khy, wait just hear me out please," he grabbed me.

"Don't fucking touch me, there ain't shit to say! Do you know how many niggas I turn down daily, all because I love yo ass and I would never play you like that. I hope that bitch makes you happy 'cause I’m done," I snatched away from him.

"Baby don't leave, please." He begged.

"I’m already gone. I'll have Luke to pick up some of my stuff later." I said.

I unlocked my car and slid in the driver's seat. I reached out to close the door, but he stopped me.

"Khyia, I’m sorry."

"If that was true then you never would've done it, now move."

He stepped back as I slammed my door closed, then sped out the parking lot. Tears streamed down my face as I drove with no particular destination in mind. I couldn't believe he cheated on me after I’ve been nothing but faithful and loyal to him. Times like this I wish my mom was still in town or Miracle was out, I can't take this shit.

Legacy

Her words were a slap in the face to me as she drove away. I climbed in the backseat of my phantom and did something I hadn't done since I lost my mama, I cried. A nigga cried like a fucking baby 'cause I fucked up and just lost the best thing that ever happened to me, all for a quick nut. I cried for thirty minutes straight before I realized that I couldn't cry no more. I need to figure out how to fix this shit and get my girl back.

"Vinny, take me to the crib." I told my driver.

"No problem boss." He replied starting up the car.

I rode in silence, trying to figure out what the hell I could do to get Khyia to forgive me. I made a mistake, one that never should've happened, but like Luke said that ain't a fucking excuse. I'm a grown ass man that act like I couldn't control my dick all because I was drunk. Seeing the hurt in her eyes and hearing her say she was done made me realize that if she wasn't fed up before, then she's definitely fed up now.

Vinny pulled up in my driveway, turning off the car. He opened my door and I slid out the car, heading up the driveway. When I walked inside the house, the reality of knowing Khy may not come back to me really set in hard. I walked in the living room and sat down on the leather sofa with my head in my hands. I had a lot on my mind and it felt I had the weight of the world on my shoulders. How the hell I’m supposed to get through the days and maintain a calm head in this game with Khyia gone? She always been my peace and sanity in this world since the day we met. Now I don't know if she gone for good or just going to cool off until later.

I snapped my head up quick as I heard the front door open and close. Hoping it was Khyia, I stood up from the sofa and walked toward the door only to be met by Luke and his twin sister Lucy.

“Hey Legacy, it's been a minute. How you been?" She asked hugging me.

"I been cool. Khy sent you here?" I asked.

"Yea, she asked us to get a few things for her," she replied.

I nodded as Luke stood with his arms folded across his chest, staring at me.

"Lu, go up and get the stuff. I wanna holla at Legz for a minute," he said.

"Ok, where's the room?" she asked.

"Upstairs, first room on the right." I replied.

She nodded and made her way upstairs as I turned, walking back to the living room.

Luke

"You straight bruh?" I asked.

He just looked up at me with bloodshot eyes and shook his head. I don't wanna be the one to say I told him so, but I knew it was gon' happen. I sat on the sofa across from him and let out a long sigh, shaking my head.

"She really leaving me bruh. I really lost her," he said.

"How did she find out?" I asked.

"I told her bruh. Right after we found out the sex of the babies, I couldn't hold that shit in and have it on my conscience. Now she gone." He sighed.

"She ain't gone bruh, she just need time. Khy love you too much to just up and leave for good," I said.

"Tsk...she said she was done bruh. The look she had in her eyes when she told me that I ain't love her. She hates me bruh," he shook his head.

When I saw the tears fall from his eyes, I knew my nigga was hurting for real. Him and Khy been together since they were 13 years old when I say they was each other’s first. Yea, that shit is really real so I kind of understand why he feel like this, but I can't let my nigga go out like this. I mean he crying like a lil female.

"Bruh dry yo fucking eyes! Fuck is you crying for when you brought this shit on yaself. You knew what you were doing whether you were drunk or not, now you gotta deal with the consequences like any other nigga would," I said.

"Bruh you don't under-"

"Nah nigga I understand perfectly, you of all people know I went through shit before. Let it go! Let Khy be on her own for awhile and you focus on this empire that my uncle left for you to run. Khyia coming back, she just need to get away from the stress for a minute that's it," I said.

"I hear you bruh, but how the hell am I supposed focus on the 'empire' when the one person that kept me sane ain't here with me?" he asked.

"You gotta figure that out on ya own bruh. I'm still trying to figure out how to keep my sanity with Miracle being locked up," I sighed, leaning back on the sofa.

"How she holding up bruh?" he asked.

"I don't know bruh. Last time I talked to the lawyer, he said she was in solitary confinement for fighting." I replied.

The days seem to get more stressful as time goes on. Next week is Miracle and LayLay birthdays, I don't know how I even get through the days without breaking down or flashing out.

"Did they say when she goes to court again?" he asked.

"A month from now. The lawyer said they gon' take it to trial, and you know how that shit go," I sighed, running my hands down my face.

He nodded in understanding at my statement while I wished this shit would just be over with. A few minutes later, Lucy walked downstairs with some of Khy’s bags in her hand.

"Alright, I got everything she asked for so we should be good to go," She said, sitting the bags at the door.

"We gon' get outta here bruh, but remember what I said. Give her some time she'll be back, if not then go find her," I said.

"I hear ya bruh, just hope she come back soon.  be careful though," He dapped me.

"No doubt bruh, fuck with you later." I replied grabbing the bags.

He hugged Lucy, then walked us out. I don't know how he finna deal with Khy being gone, I just hope the nigga don't do no more dumb shit...
