The KC-135 is mentioned twice in the folder of documents that Western Airlines director of flight control Norman Rose gave to William Newell: once in the transcript of a communication between the Western dispatch center in Los Angeles and an unspecified party, and once in a handwritten note evidently made by a member of TWA’s flight operations staff.
