Chapter Eight

She was understandably upset, but he couldn't let her do anything that might cause her injury. He had the feeling that the people who had Set would do anything to ensure he remained with them. Urlon sighed and pushed himself faster in the direction Set's scream had come from. Despite what he had revealed to Megan, tracking Set wouldn't be that difficult. Traces of his essence still lingered in the air and on the ground.

Every few feet he would jump another stone wall. Some enclosures contained sheep, donkey, and cattle, but most were empty of everything but a loamy grass so green it hurt the eyes even on the grayest days. The fog that clung close to the ground didn't hinder him at all. His steps seemed to be guided by those of his tribebrother. He could sense that Set had walked this way before him. Grandfather had never spoken of the augmentation of his natural p'or abilities that would occur with his land abilities; perhaps he hadn't realized how valuable they would become. Set had left scent and mindspeak trails, making the task of finding him easy.

For miles, Urlon encountered no one. Buildings were nonexistent, and he could almost believe that he was the only soul on the island. The barren land called to him with same intensity he felt in the sea, like a welcome homecoming.

It was becoming clear to him that there would be no way his heart would let him leave Megan behind on land while he returned to the sea. He would remain here with her when the time of change came. He would give his pelt to Megan for safekeeping. His trust in her was implicit. Her mind had been completely open to his during Amat. There were many human pleasures he longed to explore further.

Some of Megan's memories had been very sexual, hard for him to see, yet educational. He now knew her innermost fantasies and couldn't wait to put them into practice. His thoughts caused a rising response in his flesh that was distracting him from his search.

He reached down to adjust his cock, and a gray building appeared out of nowhere, blending perfectly into the foggy background. The building contained his brother; he could sense it. There were lights on inside the building, and he could smell a strange sweet, cloying odor—the scent of death.

Megan waited only a few minutes before setting out behind Urlon. He had looked way too intent when he left. He had to know something about where Set was. She wasn't going to let him go into danger by himself, no matter what he said or how much he hurt her. The thought of him returning to the sea left a physical ache where her heart lay. She thought back to their earlier lovemaking. He had been so endearing and sweet, so concerned about her pleasure. His cock was so big she hadn't been sure he would fit comfortably, but her body had accommodated him. She loved the chuffing sounds he made as he came, and just the thought of his firm fingers on her clit sent a shudder of desire through her body.

She stumbled as she went over a low wall and pulled back firmly on her randy thoughts. She would end up flat on her face if she didn't focus on where she was going.

Urlon's footprints showed up clearly in the grassy loam. Climbing fences every ten feet grew exhausting quickly, and she paused often to give her lungs a break. She couldn't afford to stop for too long, though; Urlon's footprints wouldn't stay indented in the loam for long. Every time she climbed into an enclosure she had to push herself up on the next wall to see which direction Urlon was going. He appeared to be moving in a straight line, which made following easier. The fog grew impossibly thick as the afternoon wore on, and she could only see one or two footprints in front of her at a time. The footprints ended at the top of a small mound where a stone path began. Just a little way off she could see the lights from a building, although she couldn't see the building itself. She moved closer until she could almost touch the cement gray walls, and a hand snaked around her waist while another clapped over her mouth. At the same time Urlon's furious mindspeak roared into her head.
What the fuck do you think you're doing? I told you to stay close to town.

Megan's heart jumped as adrenaline pumped through her body, and she struggled for a minute until she realized it was Urlon. "I could no more let you walk into danger alone than you would allow me to do the same," she whispered fierily.

I'm not pregnant. This could endanger our child. Now it's too late to send you back. The sun will set in about an hour, and you would be stuck out in the middle of the pastures with no light to guide you home.
As he spoke, Urlon pulled Megan back away from the building until they were both concealed by yet another of the interminable piles of rock that served as walls here on the island. Once he was sure they had remained undetected, he continued.

"When the people inside leave the building, you are going to stay right here, behind this wall while I go and see what they have done to Set. You are not to move from this position, not one inch." He ran frustrated hands through his hair and pushed Megan down until her ass plopped onto the ground. He followed her down and pulled on her until she rested between his legs, her back to him.

"How do you know Set is in there? Can he speak to you?" Megan looked up with confusion as Urlon's features tightened.

"I could sense where he had walked. He hasn't left the building since yesterday when he first went in. There must be something inside that prevents mindspeak from occurring. I can't communicate with him, but I know he's there." Urlon's voice trailed off as his grip on her waist increased to almost painful intensity.

She could tell how upset he was about Set, and decided to forgo questioning him about how he knew Set was inside the building until later. She couldn't believe that Urlon would think she would just allow him to confront possible danger without her. "Urlon, I couldn't just let you go off on your own. What if something had happened to you? I wouldn't have known where to begin to look for you. At least this way, if there is any danger, I can go for help; you won't be all alone." Megan whispered to make sure her voice wouldn't be heard, although they were at least a hundred yards from the building.

Urlon remained stubbornly silent, and Megan wiggled a little to get him to relax the grip he had on her waist. Her butt lightly brushed up against his groin, and even in these circumstances Megan's breath caught with arousal. She could feel his cock beginning to stir under her ass, and decided that a little distraction might be in order. As long as they were quiet, they would be all right. It was at least an hour until full dark, and no one had left the building for the day as of yet. She deliberately moved against him, again making sure her ass made a press and release motion several times on his already-hard cock. Seconds later, his grip switched from her waist to her hips and he hissed into her ear.

"What are you doing? We can't chance someone hearing us, or getting caught."

"Then you had better be quiet." Megan began a gentle oscillation of her hips, pressing hard at the end of each rotation, grinding and releasing with unrelenting force. She smiled with satisfaction as she heard a soft muffled moan escape his lips.

"Megan, we really can't…" his voice ended in a strangled yelp as she flipped around and zipped down his jeans in one swift movement. Her hand slipped into the open jeans and rubbed firmly up his swollen shaft, pausing to collect the liquid pearl at the tip and swooping back down with infinite grace.

He put up his hands to stop her, but apparently lost heart as he saw her mouth moving towards his cock. Megan looked up through wind-tangled hair as she brought her lips slowly to him. She paused to press kisses onto his navel before swirling her mouth up his hard flesh. She waited for his shields to drop, but he maintained tight control over his mind.

She decided to torture him a bit before allowing him full access to her mouth. She flicked her tongue around the swollen head.
Hmm, just like licking a Popsicle,
she thought. His essence blended with her saliva and created a glistening sheen on his beautiful cock. He shifted his weight to his hands and used them to push himself up into her mouth. She smiled up into his eyes as her mouth finally engulfed him, gliding wetly up and down the slick shaft as her hand moved in counterpoint.

His breathing grew harsher, and she could tell he was suppressing groans. She gripped his hips as he began to push faster and faster against her mouth, until with one quick thrust, his cock met the back of her throat and scalding cum pulsed out the tip. She looked up in time to see his hand come to his mouth, biting down to stop the cry from erupting. He tasted delicious, salty and musky at the same time. She continued to suck until his frantic thrusting eased, slowly pulling her mouth up his still-hard penis until the head popped out with a sound of wet suction.

She licked her lips and moved her hand gently up and down his prick, catching stray drops and pressing them to her mouth. Her eyes closed with desire; his pleasure had sparked hers, even if they were not joined mind to mind.

"That was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Your mouth on my flesh, the feel of your lips, cool on the outside, warm suction on the inside. I never realized sexual pleasure could encompass so many different feelings." He pulled her back against him caressing her shoulders for several minutes. His hands had just begun to caress her breasts when he clapped his hand over her mouth and pulled her against him until they were plastered together.

Now that she wasn't otherwise occupied, she could hear what had disturbed him. Three distinct voices could be heard, although precisely what was being said remained hidden. The voices appeared to be moving farther away, growing fainter as they went around the corner of the building.

Her heart raced with adrenalin as Urlon moved into a crouch, pushing her to the side and zipping his fly as he crept to the edge of the wall. She heard the distant sound of a car starting, and realized that the occupants of the building were leaving for the day. She followed Urlon as he made his way to the front of the building again. He turned as her foot hit a stone and pointed furiously back at the wall, but she was determined to help him.

Urlon tried the door, but it was firmly locked. All of the windows had bars that refused to budge, and she could tell that Urlon was becoming frustrated. As they made their way around the building, Megan noticed a window low to the ground, barely big enough for her to slip through and, best of all, no bars crossed the panes of glass. "Urlon, I could fit through that window, if you could break it so the glass didn't stick out."

"Let me check out the rest of the building first; you wait here." Urlon disappeared around the corner, and Megan waited in tense silence for his return.

When he reappeared next to her, she jumped in surprise. He was so quiet, moving lightly on his feet even though he was a large man.

"There are no other entrances, I'm afraid. The front and side doors are securely locked as well. I tried forcing them, but they wouldn't budge." He gave a resigned sigh. "I guess you'll have to go in through this entrance. Please be careful, Megan, I won't be able to help you until you unlock the door."

"Do you think anyone else besides Set is in there?" she asked anxiously.

"There is no way to tell. I can't sense anyone else but I don't trust my senses at this point; after all, I know Set is inside, but I can't sense him either. There are still some lights on in the building, so it's possible someone else might still remain. If you hear anything, and I mean anything, come back to the window and get out as fast as you can. "

Urlon reached for Megan's pack. As he unzipped it, Megan gathered up her hair and twisted a scruncii she had had in her pocket around it, getting it up out of the way. Urlon yanked out the pair of gloves she had put in the pack and shoved his large hand into one, stretching it to the ripping point. He wrapped the other glove around his knuckles, then crouched down so he was closer to the window.

"I hope no one is on this level." He sucked in a harsh breath as he drew back his hand and shattered the glass with one quick blow. Slivers remained attached to the window frame and he used the side of his hand to knock them in.

Megan went down onto all fours and backed her feet and legs into the window, scooting in until only her shoulders and head were visible. "Don't worry, I'll be fine," she whispered.

The drop to the floor was short, and her feet made only a light slap as they hit. The inside was dark, although she could see light from under a door across the room. She tiptoed across the floor, wincing as her feet crunched on the broken glass. Her hand reached out to the doorknob and hesitated there for a minute as she waited to see if any sounds outside the door indicated a person in the building. The door opened easily, and the stairs that led up were right across a narrow hallway.

Megan made her way up the stairs and into another small hallway full of doors. There were glass windows that looked into some of the rooms, but Megan didn't pause to see what lay within. She hurried to the door at the end of the hallway that stretched towards the front of the building.
The door to the outside must be there,
she thought. So far Urlon had been wrong about any danger. Things were moving like greased lightning. The door to the outside appeared to have an alarm rigged to it, but a code was listed right above it and Megan typed it in, hoping the numbers were the unlocking mechanism. Sure enough, the blinking red light turned green, and Megan pushed against the bar to open the door. Urlon was waiting impatiently on the other side.
