Again Presley found herself surrounded by the warmth of the sun’s rays. She was on the bank this time, just at the end of Manor Lane. Of course she recognized this place as the swimming spot-or the place where she nearly killed herself on a bike once. Either name would work just fine.

But why was she dreaming of it?

“Hey, Pretzerella,” Liam grinned as he plopped down beside of her and hugged his knees to his chest. He turned his head to gaze at her, his eyes sparkling. “Glad to see you came back.”

“Did I have much of a choice?” She asked as she tucked her golden hair behind her ears. “I don’t suppose I could ask for a rain check, could I?”

“I’m afraid not,” Liam sighed heavily, shaking his head. “I still have a lot I need to show you and we don’t have much time.”

“Well I intend on taking at least an hour long nap. Will it take longer than that?” She asked, trying to keep the mood light.

“Time works differently here, Pretz. And I promise I’m not going to show you anything bad, okay? I mean…I know the memory of that night was bad judgment on my part, but you needed to see it. You needed to know.”

“Know what? The gender of my baby? Lorcan’s thrilled by the way,” she bit her bottom lip, her eyes finding his handsome face as she tilted her head to the side. “Or was it the brother part you wanted me to know?”

“I wanted you to know all of it,” Liam nodded. “Urseth wanted you to know. He thinks it’ll help when the time comes.”

“What time?” Presley asked in frustration. The sky darkened overhead and she instantly regretted losing her temper. Liam was right; she did control the weather here. How very weird.

“The time that’s been coming for a while now,” Liam nodded as he wrinkled his nose and watched the clouds roll in. “But don’t think about that just yet okay? I like the sunlight and I didn’t bring an umbrella with me,” He teased.

Presley fought the urge to roll her eyes, smiling gently at her mate’s older brother as she stretched her legs out and peered at the still surface of the water.

“So what do you want to show me this time?” She asked after a moment.

“I wanted to show you your broth-”

Liam’s voice seemed to drift off with a gentle breeze as Presley turned her head to see the branches on the trees behind her swaying harder than before. The wind only seemed to pick up speed as she lifted a hand to shield her eyes from the dirt flying through the air. What the hell was going on?

The sky turned as dark as night as large, angry clouds rolled in.

“I’m not doing this!” Presley shouted over a loud rumble of thunder.

“I know,” Liam replied with wide eyes as he stood up and grabbed her hand. “Come on, Pretz. You need to get out of here.”

She was off the ground in an instant, left with no choice but to follow wherever Liam led. He was strong and fast, and it was all her dream-self could do to keep up with him.

“Liam, what’s happening?” She cried out as lightning flashed overhead.

“I don’t know.” He shouted back to her, narrowly avoiding debris as it flew by. He pulled her against his chest suddenly, shielding her as a loud noise sounded in the air. It was like a freight train-loud and deafening.

“Liam, I’m scared!” Presley sobbed, burying her face against his shirt.

“I won’t let anything happen to you,” he promised, his cheek pressing against her forehead as his arm tightened around her. “I’m right here, Pretz. Nothing’s going to happen to you.”

“I’m right here,” Lorcan’s voice echoed all around.

Presley’s eyes snapped open and she gasped, bolting upright in the bed. She nearly collided with Lorcan as he stared at her with concern written all over his face. “Baby, what happened? Are you okay?” He asked, gripping her upper arms gently.

It took Presley a few seconds to get her breathing under control. Her fingertips were digging into Lorcan’s forearms as her heart hammered against her ribcage. She sucked more air into her lungs, willing her body to stop trembling.

“I….I don’t know what happened,” she whispered in a trembling voice. “Liam was there…and…I think there was a tornado or something,” she closed her eyes, swallowing the lump of dread that had developed in her throat. “He was trying to show me something but then….the storm came out of nowhere.”

“The storm?” Lorcan asked, his brows furrowing as he gazed at her. “Baby, you’re safe now, okay? I’m right here. I won’t let anything happen to you.”

She felt his heated lips touching against her forehead as the tears spilled down her cheeks. She hadn’t been that frightened in a long time. The dream seemed
so
real, and she couldn’t shake the ominous feeling looming overhead.

“Lorcan, your cellphone is ringing,” Mrs. Bamey called from the living room. “Do you want me to answer it?”

“Yeah, that’s fine,” Lorcan shouted back to her, his eyes remaining on Presley as he ran his hand up and down her back in a soothing manner. “Baby, look at me.”

Presley opened her eyes, her bottom lip trembling as she released the death grip she had on him.

“Everything’s fine,” he reassured her, smiling gently. “It was just a bad dream.”

“I don’t think so,” Presley whispered with a shake of her head. “Lorcan, something was wrong. Liam said I’m in control of the weather in my dreams…and I wasn’t in control of that. Something terrible was happening and the wind was blowing so hard. The sky…it was like a scene right out of Twister!”

“Baby, it’s-”

Lorcan was interrupted by Mr. Bamey entering the bedroom. His face was pale and his eyes were incredibly angry.

Presley didn’t have to look at him to know what was wrong. She could feel it before the words even left his lips, and it made her feel quite sick.

“We gotta get over to Arnie’s,” Mr. Bamey stated in a panic-stricken voice. “Something’s happened.”

Lorcan slowly turned his head to gaze at Presley in disbelief.

“Did you dream that?” He asked softly.

As dread gripped at her heart and squeezed her lungs, Presley didn’t even attempt to suppress the tears as they flowed freely from her green eyes.

“I think I did,” she whimpered. “I have to get to my uncle.”

H
is eyes opened with much needed force and Dimitri immediately regretted it. The strong throbbing pain surging through his head was not something he was used to. What the hell happened?

He blinked rapidly, willing his vision to focus as he rolled onto his side and gripped the edge of the mattress. Every muscle in his large frame felt oddly relaxed, but his brain was already racing with questions he wasn’t sure he wanted the answers to.

It was late; he knew that much. The sun was already absent from the sky and his bedroom was pitch black. Did he take a nap? No….

“What the fuck?” He mumbled under his breath as he carefully traced his fingers over the nightstand, trying to find his watch. “What the fuck?!” He stated more loudly as he realized his watch wasn’t in its usual spot. Well it wasn’t on his wrist either, so what the hell?

“Mmf, what is it?” Rutley’s sleepy voice asked from behind him.

Dimitri froze, blinking. Well that didn’t make sense. If he’d taken a nap, there was no way in hell that Rutley would be in bed with him-again. It wasn’t night time so he’d had no excuse to make the beta sleep in his bed. Where was Kia?

Dimitri quickly rolled over to face Rutley in the darkness, feeling his heart plummet into his stomach as his eyes widened. Why was he naked? Why was Rutley naked?

And then his mind became crystal clear.

“That’s it,” Kia giggled as she gently pressed her hand against the back of his head, guiding him towards Rutley’s smiling face. “Give him a nice little kiss.”

Dimitri didn’t have to be told twice. His judgment was a little off, and he was feeling
really good
-what was the harm in kissing Rutley? So he did. He pressed his mouth against the other male’s hungrily, scooting closer to him on the mattress as their tongues timidly touched together.

“That’s so hot,” Kia whispered, her fingernails teasing over Dimitri’s biceps as she watched them. “Suck on his bottom lip.”

And Dimitri did just that. He nipped and suckled at Rutley’s lower lip, tugging and releasing it before moving in for another kiss. He enjoyed the sounds the other wolf was capable of producing, and he liked it even more so that he was responsible for those noises.

He heard Rutley release a soft groan and he opened one eye briefly to see Kia attaching her lips to the side of Rutley’s neck. A low growl sounded from between their mouths as he eyed her, but when she turned her head to gaze at him, he silenced completely.

Her eyes were glowing. They were a vibrant, beautiful gold and they were glowing from her arousal. Dimitri’s nostrils flared as her scent infiltrated his system. His ability to create thoughts failed him as she turned her attention back to Rutley’s neck and Dimitri was further distracted by the other male’s tongue exploring his mouth.

“You’re so hot,” Kia murmured as she dusted kisses against Dimitri’s shoulder. “Both of you are gorgeous. I bet you’re even more beautiful when you’re together, hm?”

Even in his drunken haze, which was completely new to him, Dimitri could feel his nerves getting the best of him as he gazed at Rutley. The younger wolf was sprawled out on the mattress, wearing only his boxer briefs as his heavily lidded eyes tried to stay open.

“We’ve not been together like this before.” Dimitri admitted. At least they hadn’t done anything with their clothes off before. His eyes remained on Rutley’s naked chest. Those damn freckles. He was focused on the freckles as Kia’s soft lips caressed the flesh of his stomach. He closed his eyes, sighing.

“Maybe we should change that?” Kia asked as her tongue slid over his abs. God that felt good.

Wait, no. It couldn’t feel good. It wasn’t allowed to feel good! He didn’t like her and despite the fact he liked Rutley-this wasn’t supposed to happen.

“Maybe we should go to the hospital now.” Dimitri slurred as he shook his head in an effort to sober up. He hadn’t had that many drinks, and even on his worst night he couldn’t achieve the level of intoxication he was currently experiencing.

“I think we should stay here,” Kia whispered as she slowly pulled her shirt off and tossed it to the floor. She bit at her lower lip as she crawled onto her knees and ran her hands over her bra. Her breasts threatened to spill from the tops of the silken material, and Dimitri heard his wolf growl with want. “I think we should get to know one another, don’t you?”

Dimitri tore his gaze away from her voluptuous form, swallowing hard as he focused on Rutley. Not that
that
was any better. The nearly naked male was gazing at him in a way that made his mouth go dry.

“I don’t think you really feel that way,” Kia pouted as she reached for Dimitri’s hand, guiding it to rest against the silken fabric of her bra. “I think….you two need to have some fun.”

“This isn’t….” Dimitri blinked again. “We shouldn’t.”

“Oh, we should,” Kia sighed, letting her head fall back as she closed her fingers around his, causing him to squeeze her breast. She shivered, gasping softly as she arched her back. “I think I want both of you. Right now.”

Maybe Dimitri could’ve talked himself out of it, somehow, had he been thinking clearly. Maybe he could’ve gotten her to leave and they could’ve forgotten the whole thing happened….but when Kia guided his hand to rest against the outline of Rutley’s cock-he became a hopeless cause. His inner wolf howled in excitement, demanding to be allowed this moment.

“That’s right. He likes it, Dimitri. Keep doing it,” Kia cooed gently as her fingertips stroked down his spine.

Dimitri wasn’t even sure how they got from point A to point B, but with Rutley writhing beneath him and making sweet noises like that….Jesus Christ, how did anyone expect him to stop? He lowered his head again, taking every inch Rutley had to offer between his lips as his eyes closed. He could feel the other male trembling and it wasn’t long before heat gushed down his throat. He swallowed eagerly, pulling back several seconds later to take in the sight of Rutley’s post-euphoric face.

“That was so hot.” Kia smiled.

Dimitri’s eyes met hers as he felt the timid touch of Rutley’s hand against his thigh. He gazed down at the other wolf, watching as his eyes began to glow that soft teal blue. God, he loved those eyes….

“Who wants me first?” Kia asked as she crawled onto all fours, wiggling her hips back and forth.

Her scent was stronger than ever before and Dimitri hated that his mouth watered for her. He growled softly, leaning down to press a kiss to the corner of Rutley’s mouth. If he was going to be with anyone, it would be the beautiful male beneath him. He didn’t want to be with her. It wasn’t right. Something was terribly off with the whole situation, yet he couldn’t get his body to cooperate.

He listened to Rutley’s soft voice as he locked an arm around him possessively.

“We don’t have to do this,” Rutley murmured quietly. “She smells good, but she’s not you.”

Dimitri turned his head to stare down at him, allowing his words to echo around in his mind.
She’s not you.

“Oh,” Kia dropped her gaze to her hands as her beautiful eyes dimmed slightly. “I suppose I can’t blame you for not wanting to be with a bigger girl,” She confessed sadly.

What? Dimitri stared at her as if she were completely mental. His inner wolf howled loudly in protest as he reached over to hook his finger beneath her chin. He forced her gaze to meet his.

“You are beautiful.” He said pointedly. Wait. Why was he saying that? He shouldn’t say things like that! He had no issue with a bigger woman-none whatsoever. She really was beautiful…but he was gay. He couldn’t be attracted to a female.
Fucking wolf.

“It’s more cushion’ for the pushin’,” Rutley slurred as he pushed himself into a sitting position, grazing his teeth against the side of Dimitri’s neck as he extended his hand to Kia. “Come here, Dimples.”

Kia complied, timidly moving towards them as Dimitri groaned. Rutley was insanely good with his mouth, and with Kia’s gentle touch against the quivering muscles of his abdomen; Dimitri knew he was a goner.
