She returned the favor, unbuckling his belt, whipping it free, and tossing it aside. “Of course.”

Talking became too difficult once she tugged his pants and briefs over his hips and his cock sprang forward. Long. Thick.
Perfect
. Just like everything else about Craig. As he kicked the pants and underwear aside, Juliana wrapped her fingers around him and stroked him crown to root and back again, smearing the drop of pre-cum on the tip with her thumb. He hissed in air for the whole time she touched him and groaned in what she hoped was disappointment as she took her hand away. She finished removing her skirt because he’d seemed a bit too preoccupied to complete the task.

Standing naked before him, she let her eyes wander his body as his own gaze raked her from head to toe. His muscles were well-defined but not out of proportion. Light brown hair covered his pecs—he obviously wasn’t vain enough to wax. Good thing, because she liked him furry. The hair tapered to a line that passed his navel and fanned out around his big shaft. His legs were dusted as well.
Damned perfect.

Craig took in his fill of Jules’s gorgeous body. Slender but not skinny like the rest of the ridiculous stick women who called themselves movie stars. Her muscles were sleek and firm. Full breasts, clearly real, were tipped with tan nipples that had hardened to firm nubs. Her waist was slim, and her hips flared beautifully. That sexy pussy was covered with a small, tidy patch of brown hair, something he found a hell of a lot more attractive than shaved bare. There wasn’t a phony thing about his Juliana.

They reached for each other, locking in an embrace and kiss that left him breathless. His hand wandered over her round ass, tugging her hard to him as he pushed himself against her. Her legs spread just enough so his cock slid between her thighs, rubbing against her cunt. So warm and already wet for him. He groaned and tried to find some shred of his tenuous self-control. Her purrs and moans weren’t helping much. “Shit, Jules. I wanna go slow, but…”

She cuddled his dick with her thighs, squeezing him tight. “Who asked you to?”

They fell to the bed. Craig kept just enough of his wits about him to brace himself up on his elbows. He kissed her until he was pretty sure he’d forgotten his own name. She returned each thrust of his tongue with a parry of her own, even coaxing his into her mouth so she could suck on it. The woman turned him on more than any other woman he’d ever known.

Stroking one breast, he lowered his mouth to the other, drawing the nipple into his mouth and using his tongue to tease and taunt. He savored each of her soft cries of delight, thrilled he could bring her so much pleasure. Trailing from her breast, down her flat belly, over the patch of soft curls, his fingers separated her slick folds until he found the swollen jewel he craved. One quick circle with his index finger, and Juliana arched her back and said his name in that throaty voice that drove him wild. Every cell throbbed to bury himself inside her. He couldn’t wait any longer.

Juliana spread her thighs when Craig pushed his knee between them. The moment she’d waited for these three long years, the one she’d fantasized about more times than she could remember, the one she feared would never happen, was upon her. He settled himself against her, and only then did a flare of sanity force her to pull away from his kiss. “Protection?”

“Shit. Forgot.” He rolled to his side, opened the drawer of the nightstand, and pulled out an unopened box of Trojans. “I…um…bought them yesterday. I guessed… I hoped…”

The man was actually blushing. “You hoped you’d need them.”

“For you. Just for you.”

Taking the box from his hands, she ripped it open, tugged out the string of condoms, and pulled one off. She opened the packet with her teeth, then smiled at him as she slowly unrolled it over his stiff cock. “You
do
need one. In fact, you’ll probably need more than one.”

Tangling her fingers through his hair, Juliana pulled Craig down for a kiss. He didn’t settle over her again, but instead, his hand smoothed over her breast, down her stomach, until his finger found her pussy again. He gently eased a finger deep inside her and groaned into her mouth. “God, Jules. You’re so wet. So hot.” A long finger stretched up inside her as the pad of thumb rubbed her sensitive clit, setting her on fire.

She almost bowed up off the bed. Everything he did, each time he touched her, she felt completely wanted, completely adored.

“Juliana…I need…I can’t…wait.”

His words hit her hard, making her core clench in need. She almost came just from the thrill of knowing how much he wanted her. Pulling on his arm and spreading her thighs, she beckoned him to her. Words simply wouldn’t come.

Craig understood, shifting his weight to cover her. He’d waited forever for this, and damn, he wanted to savor it. But her hot, wet welcome was his final undoing. Trying to be gentle, he pushed himself against her, parting her lips and driving himself balls-deep into her. He almost shot his wad from the feel of her walls squeezing him tight. “Wrap your gorgeous legs around me,
cherie
,” he said with a groan. “This is gonna be rough.”

“Good,” came her throaty reply as her heels drummed against the back of his thighs. “I like it rough.”

He pushed into her, again and again, and her hips answered each stroke. His balls tightened, and he knew his release was going to come much too quickly. Afraid he’d leave her behind, he framed her face with his hands and gave her a long, wet, heartfelt kiss. Just as he knew he’d reached the point of no return, she gasped against his lips. Her hips arched up hard into his, and contractions started deep inside her pussy. Amazed he could feel her holding him tight, milking his body, Craig gave into his own orgasm, thrilled to know he’d brought her pleasure too.

Juliana almost sighed in resignation before she caught herself. Craig was a giving lover—better than any she’d had because he cared as much about her enjoyment as he had his own. Her orgasm had been satisfying. Nice. But wasn’t sex supposed to be more than simply
nice
? That might work sometimes, but not every time. No, despite how relaxed making love to Craig had made her, she knew the day would come when she wanted,
needed
more, even though she now realized she was falling in love him.

She lay there, running her fingertips up and down the length of Craig’s spine, hoping he wouldn’t notice her disappointment, and feeling like a freak because she kept picturing Alejandro standing by the bed, smiling down at them, and then asking to join them.

Holding himself up on his elbows, Craig looked down into her eyes. “You okay?”

“Mmm.” Humming was about all she could do in response because she didn’t want him to realize what idiocy was tumbling through her mind.

“Mmm? Is that a good
mmm
or a bad
mmm
?”

She lifted up to brush a kiss over his lips. “Good mmm. Great mmm.
Fantastic
mmm.”

“Just fantastic, huh? I’ll just have to see if I can do better next time.”

Juliana waited quietly, holding him close and wondering what in the fuck was wrong with her. She could love Craig! She could consider making a life with him in the future.

Then why couldn’t making love to him be enough?

Chapter 3

The warmth of the light streaming through the skylight hit Craig’s face. God, he loved sleeping in until after the sun was already up. Didn’t happen very often, and a smile crossed his lips before he even opened his eyes all the way. Not only had he slept in, he’d slept in next to Juliana.

Something else had risen with the sun. Despite the fantastic sex he’d shared with her the night before, he was more than ready to share some more. His cock was hard as granite, and he intended to use it on the woman he’d desired for three long years, the one who’d set his body on fire and given him the most fantastic orgasm he’d ever experienced.

Craig reached for her only to grasp cool sheets.

He sat up and looked around. “Jules? Babe?” The condo was quiet, but he strained to hear the sound of the coffeemaker, hoping she’d needed a cup of caffeine to start her day. He’d had other plans on how to greet the sun. Disappointment washed over him when no sounds stirred in his home.

Damn it.
Why would she leave? He’d held her in his arms most of the night—spooning, hugging, legs entangled. And he’d enjoyed one of the best night’s sleep of his life as he relaxed to her gentle, steady breathing. He’d never been much of a cuddler, yet having Juliana close had seemed so…right.

So why had she left?

Perhaps it was his fault. After all, the sex had been fantastic, but somewhere in his thoughts, that threesome fantasy kept intruding. And the third was always Alejandro.

Craig tried to dismiss that excuse, but it refused to budge. Was the fact that he wanted Alejandro to join him and Juliana simply because of the dance lessons? Or was there something more there? Was he starting to feel a kinship for the man? Some kind of underpinnings of believing Alejandro might be interested in sharing a relationship with them?

Since it wasn’t going to be easy to straighten things out on his own, he decided to start with Juliana. Throwing aside the sheet, he tried again to see if she’d truly left. “Juliana?” His call went unanswered.

After he tugged on his briefs, Craig went to the kitchen. He needed a jolt of caffeine to jumpstart his brain so he could figure out where she’d gone and why she’d decided to run away. And then he needed to figure out how to drag her back here again and keep her here.

Then perhaps they could explore other directions they could travel in the relationship.

Juliana let the hot water cascade over her, washing Craig’s scent from her skin.

She’d hopped in the shower just as soon as she got home and snatched the clothes from her body. How could she have been so stupid? Falling into bed with Craig with nothing more than a couple of glasses of wine, some romantic music, and his intoxicating smiles. Now, she’d blown any chance she ever had at finding true happiness with a man who now probably saw her as nothing more than an easy conquest. A quick fuck.

Shit, what was she? A cliché Hollywood tramp? Crawling into bed with a guy on their first date—not even a
real
date, just a dance lesson and a dinner—meant there was no way he’d respect her enough to want anything more from her than sex. Juliana wanted to crawl in a hole and hide.

“Fuck! I’m an idiot.” She’d let herself get led around by her feelings for Craig when there was no way he’d had any time to develop something for her other than lust. Just like Alejandro had said, Craig lusted after her.
But I’m falling in love with him…

More tears came as she opened the lilac shampoo and scrubbed until her scalp tingled. She couldn’t even avoid him now. Not only did he costar in the movie they were shooting, but there were weeks of dance lessons and the damned dance contest.

Juliana rinsed away the shampoo, soaped her body while trying to stop crying, and washed the last of the night away. Wrapping a towel around her long hair and another around her body, she hauled herself to her kitchen, started a pot of coffee, and then headed to her bedroom. The bed was pristine, freshly made and undisturbed from the night before.

As she towel-dried her hair, her mind wandered. Was Craig waking up? What had he thought when he realized she’d left? Was he relieved?

Juliana blew her hair dry and skipped the makeup. Her skin still broke out from all the thick foundations and powders the makeup artists used on set, and she wanted her pores to breathe. Besides, she wouldn’t be seeing anyone today.

Fishing her cell phone out of her purse, she decided to call her mother. Then she realized the call would have to wait because, as was her bad habit, she hadn’t charged the damn thing and it was dead. It took almost ten minutes before she found the charger, and by then, all she wanted to do was crawl into her bed and lick her wounds. She’d barely plugged the phone in before it chimed a text message.

Juliana opened the message. It was from Craig.

what the hell, jules?

How was she supposed to reply to that? Since mood wasn’t easy to discern from a stupid text, she had to speculate at what he was feeling. She guessed angry, but figuring out the reason for his anger? That was tougher…

He might have been angry that she’d left without a goodbye, but that implied a sentimentality that men seldom revealed. He might be angry that she wasn’t there so he could indulge himself again this morning. Or he might be angry that she’d slept with him and he hadn’t been able to give her the typical speech about keeping their connection away from the press.
