Chapter 26
At 9:30 p.m. sharp, the chauffeur knocked at the door. KoKo answered and the gentleman’s eyes told it all. He looked at her like she was a goddess.
“Your king awaits, Madam,” he said in his island accent. He put out his elbow and she placed her hand on it and was led to a black Maybach. The ride to the destination was thirty-five minutes and as they approached, she began fiddling with her dress and hair. They pulled up to a gate that opened with a code then proceeded up a long winding road that ended at a large place on a cliff. Breathtaking. Once they parked, the driver opened her door and walked her to the entrance. She was met by two island women. “Come this way, please.” They handed her a bouquet of flowers and took her by each arm.
Pink and white rose petals were at her feet, which cushioned her walk down the long hallway. Two large glass doors were at the end of the hallway. Each woman grabbed a handle and opened it wide. KoKo choked up at a view of the patio. Large white glass candles and flowers were everywhere. On each side of the walkway were black marble ponds with lilies floating in them. At the end, Kayson stood in a white gazebo dressed in an all-white two-piece linen Esi Miaki suit smiling from ear to ear. Standing across from him was a man holding a flute. As KoKo approached him, she heard Mariah Carey's song playing.
I’d give my all to have just one more night with you, I'd risk my life to feel your body next to mine . . .
As she got closer, her eyes started to water. The moon appeared to be sitting right on top of the gazebo and she could hear the waves crashing against the rocks below. When she reached Kayson, the music faded. He walked down and assisted her up the two steps. They stood there looking at each other as the Imam and the witness walked up to officiate the ceremony. A man with a flute began playing “I am Ready for Love” by India Arie. KoKo could hear it in her head.
I am ready for love, why are you hiding from me? I'd quickly give my freedom, to be held in your captivity.
Kayson mouthed, “I love you.”
KoKo mouthed, “I love you more.”
The minister began the ceremony then asked each of them did they have anything to say to each other. KoKo went first.
“You came into my life and changed my world. Life without you is not an option. I want to continue to learn and grow with you. Take this sacred part of me and fill it with your love and in return, I will do the same.”
Kayson smiled and brushed away her tears. He took a minute and embodied her words.
As the flute continued to play, Kayson took a deep breath. “You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You showed me that love can be pure and that it doesn’t hurt. If you can continue to love me and be patient, I'm going to give you the world.”
“By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss your bride.”
Kayson took KoKo by her face as she stared into his eyes, tears and all. Then he placed the first kiss softly and accurately on her lips. He also kissed the tears running down her face. Their lips met again and he kissed her with such passion and emotion. KoKo was so overtaken by the exchange, she felt as if she were floating. When his lips broke from hers and he saw his wife’s eyes closed and at the same time tears streamed from the corners, he smiled and held her in his arms. The sound of light applause and emotion from the small crowd privy to witness their union filled the area. But to KoKo and Kayson they were the only two on earth.
They were interrupted by a woman who brought them two glasses of champagne. They toasted to their newfound bond. “Here's to taking over the world,” Kayson said.
“Indeed,” KoKo added.
The newlyweds were then taken to a room below for a candle light dinner. Walking onto a balcony, they saw the table decorated with petite clear glass vases with floating candles and two small plates of fruit cut in various shapes. They were seated and brought a bottle of wine and two glasses. They gazed out at the ocean. Kayson grabbed her hand.
“I can’t believe I'm your wife,” she said.
“Is that a good thing?” he asked.
“It’s a great thing.” She leaned in and kissed him.
“Keep that up and we’re going to miss dinner,” he said, going into fuck mode.
“You are so freaky.” She looked at him, giving him her ‘take it’ vibe.
Just then, one of the chefs came in with their meal, fresh salmon with a side of yellow rice and steamed asparagus with butter sauce.
“You betta be glad my ribs are touching or I’d be rearranging your organs.”
“That's what your mouth say.”
“We’ll see about all that tough talk.” He bit into his salmon.
KoKo giggled then followed suit.
After about forty minutes, the chef came back and cleared the plates. He gave them a rinse bowl to wash their hands and mouth and some mint leaf. Kayson took KoKo by the hand, sat her on his lap, and put his arms around her and began kissing and nibbling on her shoulder. KoKo put her arms around his neck and began kissing him. “I think we better get going because Mrs. Kitty is beginning to purr,” she said.
“Let me check on her,” Kayson said, sliding his hand up her dress only to find out she was soaking wet. “Stand up.” He walked her to the edge of the balcony and she sat on the ledge. He stood between her legs.
“Oh shit, Kayson, I’m scared. You betta not drop me,” she said, looking down at the sharp rocks below.
“I got you.” He kissed her soft lips. “Put him where he needs to be.” KoKo grabbed his dick and guided him to home plate. He slid inside her letting out a small moan then went to pleasing his wife. The whole atmosphere was perfect. The excitement of being up that high and the emotion of danger as she could hear the water crashing up against the rocks along with the newness of being his wife brought KoKo’s orgasm on strong one after the next. Kayson started to stroke faster and faster as she held on for dear life. He went in deep and grinded until he busted long and hard. Then he stood there enjoying her muscles tightening around him.
“Damn. That's what I'm talking about,” Kayson said out of breath.
“I want some more. Let’s go home so you can fuck my brains out,” KoKo responded.
“We are home. I own this shit, too. And don’t be trying to kill me ‘cause your name is on shit now.”
KoKo laughed. “Shieet. You the one got me all on the cliff.”
“Let’s go break this new shit in. I saw a counter and a few walls that look like they need a good waxing.” He let her down and they headed to the room to complete their evening.
Kayson woke up at about 7:00 and looked around the room. He ran his hand over his face then sat up in the bed. Looking over at KoKo, he smiled and rubbed her back. She was so worn out she didn’t even move. He swung his legs over the edge and stepped off the bed headed for the bathroom. Once he returned to the room, he sat in the chair next to the bed and picked up the phone.
“Hello.” His mother answered.
“We did it.” Kayson said with a smile on his face.
“Awww. Son, how did it go?” Monique asked as she sat up in her bed.
“She was the most beautiful bride I ever saw. It was perfect.”
Monique took a deep breath and closed her eyes in an attempt to imagine the event. “I wish I could have been there.”
“Me too.” Kayson said staring at KoKo.
“Don’t worry, I will be feeling much better by the time you get home.”
“I’m praying for you. Me and KoKo are going to take you out to celebrate as soon as we get back.”
“I look forward to it. Kiss my daughter in law and tell her I love her.”
“Love you ma.”
“Love you too. Kayson?”
“Yes.”
“Make her happy.”
“I will.” With that, they disconnected the call. He sat for a while just watching her sleep, then he got in the bed and snuggled up next to her.
For the next couple of days, Kayson met with several people and took care of some shit before they headed back to New York. This time, they flew in the jet. He wanted to make sure he rode that ass all the way home.
Chapter 27
Stop Kayson.’ KoKo was whining as she tried to move Kayson’s hand from her face and go back to sleep.
Kayson laughed as he began planting kisses on her face and lips. He had been messing with her while she was trying to take a nap in the limo. “Wake up ma. We about to pull up.” KoKo sat up and stretched.
“Is this what I have to look forward to for the rest of my life?” She said then chuckled.
“Yup.” He said leaning in and kissing her again. The car came to a stop and the driver got out and opened the door.
When they walked up to the door, they were exhausted. They opened the door and allowed the chauffeur to carry in the bags. Kayson tipped him three hundred dollars and proceeded to carry KoKo over the threshold. He placed her down softly on the coach then went to close the door.
“Thank you, baby. If all this shit ended tomorrow, I would have no regrets.”
“Don’t even try it. You’re not getting rid of me that quick,” KoKo shot back.
“I'm not trying to get rid of you. Sheeit, you see that ring? You got a lot of work to do to pay me back.”
“What?” KoKo said, punching him in the arm.
Kayson laughed. “I'm just playing, Mrs. Wells.”
“That sounds so sweet. Say it again.”
Kayson kissed her lips lightly then looked her in her eyes. “You. Are. Mrs. Kayson Wells.”
KoKo closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “Ce'Asia Wells. That is crazy.”
“You are so beautiful,” Kayson said, gazing into her eyes.
“You ain’t too bad on the eyes either.” KoKo smiled.
“Well, let’s go upstairs and let me put my baby in a nice hot tub then give him a massage.”
“Yeah, I need to soak in the tub and get a massage. I’m still sore from when you were holding on to a brotha's neck all tight up on that balcony,” he said, standing up and pulling her to her feet.
“Hell yeah, I was holding on tight. Your dick is good, but not good enough to fall off a fucking cliff.”
“Damn.” Kayson looked at his dick and said, “See how she do you?” He cuffed his ear with his hand. “I know she hurt your feelings. I'll make her apologize.”
“You need help. You and your dick.” She turned to head for the elevator. Kayson came up behind her, grabbed her around the waist, and kissed her on the neck.
“You should be very satisfied already, Mr. Sugar Monster,” she said in a very calm voice.
“Well, I own all this now so you can’t deny me.”
“I was never able to deny you before because when I say no, you just take it.” She chuckled.
“Just like I’m getting ready to do right now.” He walked her to the elevator.
The maid interrupted. “Excuse me, Mr. Wells. Baseem and Aldeen are here to see you,” she said.
“Damn. Didn’t I teach them niggas timing?” he said aloud.
“Well, go play with your friends. I’m going to start unpacking and hop in the shower,” KoKo stated as they got on the elevator.
Kayson stopped on the second floor and went straight to his office. His partners were already seated. Aldeen got up and gave Kayson some dap and sat back down. Baseem stood up and did the same. Kayson sat in his big leather chair. Aldeen was the first to speak.
“What’s up, my nigga? You look all relaxed and shit,” he said with a big Kool Aid smile.
“I’m good,” he said, thinking of the two weeks he’d just spent with KoKo. True to form, he went right into business. “Any updates?” he asked casually.
