Swimming
Begin to flutter your legs, kicking in small, controlled movements.
Now bring your left arm behind you and reach forward with your right arm (in the workouts, we’ll do both sides), stretching and lengthening through the entire right side of your body.
Hold your arms steady while you continue fluttering your legs. Think about reaching longer and lifting up higher. Make sure your head remains in line with your spine.
B.
Swimming with Ball
From your starting position, place the ball under your right hand (in the workouts, we’ll do both sides).
Now bring your left arm behind you, and continue to reach forward with your right arm, stretching and lengthening the entire right side of the body, and pressing into the ball for support.
Begin to flutter your legs, as though you were kicking, in small, controlled movements.
C.
Mermaid
From your starting position, bring both arms behind you and clasp your hands together behind your back.
Keeping your shoulders away from your ears, extend the arms back behind you as far as you can. Make sure that your head remains in line with your spine; do not look up.
Keeping your toes pointed and your legs straight, bring your legs in and click your heels together. Continue clicking at a good pace.
D.
Mermaid with Ball
From your starting position, place both hands on top of the ball. Keep your arms extended and your neck in line with your spine.
