“I don’t understand, then why now?” RJ asked and I stopped facing her,

“Don’t you see, it was only ever about Seth. He has been in hiding all this time, even to the point that not even his brother knew where he was. And Seth knowing what blood he carried…”

“The Venom of God?” RJ asked and I added,

“Not just that but the blood of the first, the last pure blood of the Titans! So that’s what she wanted all along, she waited for him to come out of the woodworks to save the day and extract his revenge. All she needed was to keep me and Draven out of the way. So she pretended I was dead, which kept Draven busy but still allowed her freedom as his council member. All she needed was enough time to get Seth to herself…”

“And time for the bitch to rape him!” RJ jumped in shouting out her crimes and horrifically laying witness to it as I.

“And then she is…oh God…oh God now, it can’t be…could she?” I said as finally the worst thought came to me.

“What!? What is it…Keira!” RJ shouted after me but I had already run from the room and down the stairs to try and find Draven. I ran into Otto and Chase who caught me so I wouldn’t fall in my hurry.

“Whoa, careful there you could’ve…”

“Draven! And the rest of them, where are they?!” I shouted feeling myself shaking from what I knew.

“Calm down, they are having a meeting, I am sure they will be done soon.”

“NO!” I shouted loud enough that everyone in the room started staring at me. I looked around and felt the heat in my cheeks so decided to take a deep breath and say,

“It’s important…”

“We can see that sweetheart.” Chase said interrupting me with a smile.

“Please.”

“We will take you to them.” Otto said and nodded for me to follow. We walked through the crowd and Chase leaned closer to me and said,

“They’re locked away in the Green Salon.” Then they both led me through the biggest part of the people still in full swing of the party and into what looked like a ballroom. The room looked to be about 70 foot long and the ceiling looked higher than the other rooms I had been in which allowed for the enormous chandeliers. There were eight of them all hung down like crystal fountains and all of their candlelight was flickering off the gold leaf that decorated the hand crafted plaster work on the ceiling and walls.

It was an incredible room and if I hadn’t had the most important discovery to tell everyone then I would have taken the time to admire it more. But instead I raced to the far side of the room towards the double doors that were closed, cutting off the party on the other side. I left Chase and Otto behind and before I knew it I was pushing both the doors open as if I was trying to make a grand entrance.

Everyone was there all sat in any available seat with Draven stood by the window with his back to everyone. He turned when he heard my dramatic entrance and before anyone could utter a word I shouted what I had come here to say,

“She wanted his sperm!”

Chapter 70

Those Hard Truths

Ok, so with deeper thought I could have worded it a better way and one less obvious considering what she had forced him to do but still it made an impact. The room became split with two different reactions. In one half their jaws dropped and confusion was written all over their faces and the other, which included most of the men, including the Draven brothers all looked ready to burst out laughing. I rolled my eyes and said,

“Ok, so I could have reworded that but what I meant was to explain why she needed his sperm.” Draven’s eyes went soft and he smirked when looking at my nose…what was he looking at my nose for? He walked over to me, pulled me the rest of the way inside and closed the door. Then he tipped my chin up and said,

“You look adorable but this is making it very hard to take you seriously.” Then he pulled off his cravat that I had only just noticed him wearing and used it to wipe the red lipstick from my nose.

One word…
Shame.

“Uhh…oh yeah, thanks.” I said feeling that shame colour my cheeks and only wished he could have wiped the red away from them also.

I finally took this moment to really look at him as he undid the buttons to his shirt allowing his neck to be seen and I had to stop myself from attaching my lips to it and sucking. The way he was dressed reminded me of Mr Darcy and he looked so powerful in this period costume that I almost forgot what I had rushed in here to say.

“You were saying, my love?” Draven asked giving me a look that said he knew what I had been thinking and his eyes flashed purple. I leant in and said,

“Can we bugger off when I’ve told everyone?”
I asked on a whisper, one that everyone had heard if the sniggers were anything to go by.

“Most definitely.” He replied with a promise in his tone and I beamed up at him. We seemed locked in this silent stare that was as if we were trying to undress each other and express without words what we wanted to do when we were finally alone.

Someone coughed in the background and I looked to find Lucius stood there leaning casually against the window close to where Draven had been stood. I had noticed most people when I had been busy trying to beat the crap out of Aurora but now scanning the room I saw everyone was here. Vincent, Sophia and Zagan along with the rest of Draven’s council including Takeshi and Ragnar. Also there was Ruto, Adam and Pip from Lucius’side but now added to the mix was Sigurd, Jared and his brothe
r
Orthrus….oh and a Cowboy.

I think if one more supernatural dude walked in it would look more like a Gold’s gym convention thanks to all the muscle and testosterone in the room. I was actually surprised to see everyone was dressed up apart from the obvious ones, like Sigurd and the two Hellhound bikers in the room. I almost wet myself when I saw Lucius dressed as a steampunk pirate and I didn’t have to think too hard on who the culprit might be.

Speaking of the rainbow in the room I looked to see Pip was curled up on Adam’s lap and she was playing with his braces.

“So I was saying…”

“Sperm!” Pip shouted and I wasn’t sure whether Adam wanted to laugh or to smack his forehead at his wife’s behaviour.

“Uh yeah, thanks Squeak.”

“No worries, Toots, I’ve got ya back girlfriend!” She said making a fist and pounding her chest twice like some kind of symbolic gesture for th
e
sisterhood.

“So we have all gathered that Aurora’s whole plan was to get to Seth from the very beginning.”

“That’s what we were just discussing but none of us can understand why she would gain anything from it.” Vincent said calmly.

“Because she’s a fucking nut! Let’s just put it down to calling a bitch a bitch and that’s that!” Sigurd said leaning forward from his chair and raising his hands to slap them back onto his knees before getting up.

“Excuse my son, my Lord, he is…” Ragnar started to say but got cut off from Sigurd,

“Don’t say shit old…”

“You need never excuse your son, Ragnar, not when he aided Keira as he did.” This shocked everyone when it came from Draven and even more so when he continued,

“As far as I am concerned I not only trust everyone in this room with my life but also owe you all a great debt indeed.” This of course blew the wind out of Sigurd’s sails and Jared crossed his arms over his chest with a smirk.

“Besides, he is right…she is a fucking nut.” Draven added and everyone laughed, all but me who very rarely heard him swear in front of me. Sigurd came over to him, smacked him on the back and said,

“Nothing like watching your crazy ex being beaten up by your girlfriend to pull the stick outta your ass, eh?” I nearly swallowed my own tongue and for a split second worried for Sigurd’s life.

“Something like that.” Draven said turning to me and winking.

“Ok now I know I am in the twilight zone.” I muttered to myself.

“You and me too, Lille øjesten.” Ragnar said coming over to stand next to me and place his big paw on my shoulder. I looked up at him and said,

“Hey big guy.”

“I hate to be the kill kicker in all this mushy shit but are we ever going to find out what the hell the bitch wanted?

Orthrus said before taking a swig of the bottle of beer he was holding.

“Seth is not only the last blood line of the Titans but also has the Venom of God in him right?” I asked and Vincent answered me.

“This is correct and I know where you are headed with this but it would be impossible.”

“So she couldn’t have his baby, even after I saw her take that potion crap, force him to take it, made him find his happy mojo by posing as RJ and riding him to get his rocks off and then getting preggers with his baby, someone that she can reincarnate as Cronus?” When I had finished the room not only went quiet but it looked like everyone was about to have a heart attack! Bottles fell from lips, jaws dropped, eyes bulged and those in chairs sat forward.

Oh yeah, I had dropped a bombshell.

“Come again?” Sigurd said looking at me like I was now the Oracle.

“Could it be possible?” Vincent asked his brother who was stood motionless still taking in what I had just said.

“Surely not…Dom?” Sophia said getting from her chair.

“And you’re absolutely certain this is what you saw?” Draven asked me, ignoring his siblings.

“Trust me I only wish I could erase the sight from my mind but I think the damn scene has been burned to my retinas! So in answer to your question, yes I am very sure.” Draven turned away from me to face the room and said the one thing that was certain to make me swear…

“Then our war is not over.”

After that it became a battle to keep everyone calm and under control but I had to say that Draven had this mastered to a fine art. I learned that having a lot of alphas in one room was not the calmest of places to have a discussion about someone who obviously wanted to take over the world.

Draven had asked his father to look into the whereabouts of Cronus after the business with the Titans to be sure it wasn’t him who had set this whole thing in motion. But unless you were on Lucifer’s own council then you had no right even asking. Thankfully though his father held his seat at the table with pride, so he was looking into it.

I had asked the obvious question which had been why Aurora had waited for Seth to appear and not just used Alex? Because I had to agree with Pip when she said that Alex would have rode that crazy train all the way home…and I had to try and stop from laughing when she started with all the sex hand signs.

But according to Lucius and the research he had looked into, Seth was born after Alex or more like Cain, which was what his first name really was. Cain and Abel, like the ones born to the first Eve were reincarnated just like Eve was. But unlike Eve this had only happened the last time she was alive before Draven put the poor woman out her misery.

Sammael had succeeded in creating his offspring with Eve the first time but after he was banished from Heaven after they found out what he really was up to, he was serving his sentence and by the time he got back out the sons had all died. One of course by his kin’s jealous hand when Cain killed Abel in a murderous rage. Eve would then know lifetime after lifetime of being taken against her will by Sammael in the hope of recreating the key he needed to unlock the Titans.

Only as before, Seth was the only one who was born a half breed, a Nephilim the result born from angelic beings mated with humans. It was hard to imagine Sammael as anything angelic but he did in fact start life as a high ranking Angel and only became the Venom of God when he betrayed the Gods. So when Cain was born he was in fact more demon than angel due to his father’s tainted blood and had no human in him at all. So the likes of Aurora, being an Angel, would not have been able to create an offspring with Alex.

Which was what made Draven’s father and Mother so special. They were, and remained to this day, the only two souls connected enough that they defied their laws and created life despite them being Demon and Angel.

But this wasn’t where it ended or the only reason why Seth was the only one able to create a child, one needed with the pure blood of Titans to become a new vessel for Cronus. Lucius explained his findings when looking into Seth included ancient script of the Qumran.

The Dead Sea Scroll spoke of the ‘Children of Seth’ and how they would be condemned for their fates foresaw them rebelling against God and all Gods alike if ever allowed to live on earth. Of course this didn’t mean much to Lucius at the time but now it all made sense. Seth was the one they had waited for all along and Sammael and Alex had been played by Cronus and Aurora.

Yes they no doubt wanted to free the Titans but Cronus still obviously needed a pure blood vessel and with Aurora being a Titaness this was already half the puzzle complete. But as always Pip explained it best the only way she knew how…being blunt as ever,

“So some little magic voodoo and hocus pocus, a little party trick turning into Pinky and BAM! You had yourself a recipe for a baby megalomaniac Cronus...! Wow nursery would be Hell on training wheels with that kid around! I mean what’s his dummy going to be made of, fire and brimstone?! Geez Maneez!”

Of course the major problem we had now was that none of us had any clue where Aurora could be but we knew one thing, she had planned this all perfectly and for a long time. I remained very quiet during this discovery as I felt responsible for letting this happen. If only I had known the importance of stopping her actions. I had stopped myself at the time in fear for my friend’s life but now, well could I really have put everyone else at risk to save one human life?

Draven continued to look at me during this whole discussion with nothing short of concern. It didn’t take a genius to guess where my thoughts were leading me to and the guilt was no doubt written all over my face.

“We were all fooled and for more years than I wish to repeat.” Draven said and Sophia, Pip and I all scoffed at the same time.

“Not me, I always thought she was a lying bitch!” Sophia said and Pip raised her hand and added,

“Me too! Total skank attack.” Draven then looked down at me and I held up my hands and said,

“Don’t look at me like that, she was your ex, I was always going to hate her ass, even if she was a bloody saint.”

“Fair enough.” Was his only comment.

“Women’s intuition is basically like having a bullshit detector with tits or fun bags…do we all prefer fun bags?” Pip asked looking around the room for an answer.

“I like fun bags.” I said and Draven coughed a laugh.

“Sorry darlin’ I’m a tit man, it kinda kills the sex vibe when a dude with a dick says the word ‘fun bags’ during the act.” Sigurd said and for some reason I blushed. Orthrus however was in full agreement and said,

“Fucking ‘A’, brother!” and slapped his hand to Sigurd’s. All the women in the room rolled their eyes at the same time and just like that the tension that had once been there was gone and talks of ‘The Bitch’ were over…

For now.

“Time to party like it’s the 80’s! One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, FLOOR!” Pip screamed as she handed out shots from a belt she now wore that had test tubes all the way around.

“Is that blood?” I asked stepping back, thankfully into Draven’s arms.

“Yep, fresh out the virgin! Ha look at your face! Look at her face Kingyo, she thought I was serious. No, it’s just food dye.” I laughed and took one but my smile only lasted until she said,

“Nah, the virgin blood was in the macaroon you just ate, ooh time to put more paint on the bouncy castle!” Pip said running off and I think I started to turn green.

“She’s joking again…” I looked up at him and smiled and then he added,

“It was just regular blood.” And then winked at me.

“Why you!” I said turning round and poking him in the stomach, which of course was still rock hard and had no give to it. Mine however, had lots of give to it when he did the same back and it also came with a little snort.
