Ohio Valley

SUMMARY:
Winter will be much colder than normal, with the coldest periods in mid-December, from late December through early January, and in mid- and late January. Precipitation will be slightly below normal, but snowfall will be above normal, with the snowiest periods in early to mid-November, mid- and late December, late January, early February, and early to mid-March.

April and May will be warmer and slightly drier than normal.

Summer will be hotter and drier than normal, with the hottest periods in mid- to late June, mid- to late July, and early to mid-August.

September and October will be warmer than normal, with rainfall above normal in the east, below in the west.

NOV. 2014:

Deep South

SUMMARY:
Winter will be much colder than normal, with below-normal precipitation. Snowfall will be near or slightly above normal in the north, but significant snowfall is unlikely in central or southern areas. The coldest periods will occur in late December and January, with the snowiest periods across the north in mid- and late December and early January.

April and May will be warmer than normal, with rainfall above normal in all but easternmost areas.

Summer will be hotter than normal, with near-normal rainfall despite hurricane threats in mid- and late July. The hottest periods will occur in early to mid-June, mid- to late June, mid- to late July, and late August.

September and October will be warmer than normal, with a hurricane threat in mid-September.

NOV. 2014:
Temp. 52° (3° below avg.); precip. 4″ (1″ below avg.). 1–3 Sunny, cool. 4–9 Rain, then sunny, cold. 10–14 Rain, then sunny, cold. 15–18 Showers, mild. 19–27 Sunny, cool. 28–30 Heavy rain.
