THE MALVEEL (The Chosen) IN RANK OF CREATION

Malveel: Amird the Deceiver began his rebellion against the Creator by fashioning beasts to enforce his will upon the world. The thirteen Malveel rule the minions of Amird.

THE FIRST ORDER

Sulgor the Magnificent:The first of the thirteen Malveel beasts created by the Deceiver to be his emissaries on the Nearing World. Sulgor is the King of the Malveel and rules them as they in turn rule the multitude of Ulrog stone men. Sulgor had his power wrested from him by Izgra the Half-Dead.

Greeb the One Eye:The second of The Chosen. Greeb is comparable in size to Sulgor. He is a masterful tactician, but self doubt has clouded his mind since a humiliating loss to the army of Astel. He lost an eye during that battle. Greeb perishes in an attempt to kill Sprig on the cliffs of the Mnim Valley.

Vespewl the Indolent:Vespewl, the third of Amird’s Chosen,  is the largest of the Malveel. Vespewl’s physical power goes unquestioned, however, he has not exercised it in centuries. Vespewl prefers to force others to accomplish the tasks for which he takes credit.

Strang the Storm:Strang is the fourth of the first order of Malveel. Strang is full of intensity and power. As a weapon he is formidable, but his intellect requires that he be directed in all things.

Methra the Worm:The 5th of the thirteen Malveel. Methra was once a powerful Malveel Lord, but failures and indecision have marginalized that power. Now, he does the bidding of Sulgor in hopes that it will ingratiate him with the Malveel King. Hilro, the Spirit of the Nagur, destroyed Methra.

Drengel the Conjuror:The last of the original six Malveel. Drengel is most similar in looks to Sulgor, but he maintains a leaner, hungrier look. Drengel was chosen by Amird to carry on the work of corrupting creation. Drengel was exiled to the frozen wastes of Irdricht to create abominations in the name of Amird.

THE SECOND ORDER

Quirg Firebreather:The 7th of the Malveel. Quirg is of the lesser order of the beasts and as with all Malveel he is to be feared but he does not command  high respect in their order. He is known to be impetuous and rash. Aemmon destroyed Quirg in the Nagur Wood.

Woil the Lamentation:The 8th of the Malveel. Woil is a masterful tactician and possesses superior intelligence. He is also a master politician and has slowly built a base of power and respect amongst both the Malveel and the Ulrog.

Zard the Shunned:
Zard is the 9th of Amird’s Chosen. Zard holds neither unusual power nor intellect. He is an afterthought amongst his brethren.

Nagret the Shadow:The 10th Malveel and last of the second order. Nagret labors in the shadows of the greater Malveel. His hatred for his brethren is only eclipsed by his hatred for Avra. Nagret plots and schemes conquest of both.

THE THIRD ORDER

Canx the Silent:The 11th of the Malveel. Canx has not spoken to any save Sulgor in centuries. Canx’s loyalty to the Malveel King is unquestioned and he confuses many of his brethren.

Wulak the Blade
:
The 12th of the Malveel. Wulak is a weapon like Strang, but he is much more intelligent. Like Canx, he supports Sulgor and allows the Magnificent to retain power.

Irex the Cunning: The last of all the Malveel. Irex has supported himself through guile and determination. He has ably stepped into Methra’s role as a servant to Sulgor.
