“That would be great.” He stood up and pulled his pants up, only looking slightly disheveled. She stood there naked feeling vulnerable and ran out of the room to her bedroom to change.

“Are you ready Louise, we have to leave in less than five minutes.” Richard stood in the entryway to her room and tapped his foot impatiently. She felt annoyed that he was making her bad for running late; she hadn’t asked him to come lay her down on the floor and make love to her.

“I’ll be out in a second.” She snapped. “Why don’t you make yourself helpful and take my suitcase down to the car.” She turned away from him and pulled on a silk blouse. She felt his hands on her shoulders and he turned her around to face him.

“I hope you are going to be more pleasant in London Louise.” He stared into her eyes and she looked into the chocolate brown galaxy that was his eyes, feeling herself melt into him.

“I was pleasant until you came to my room with an attitude.” She muttered back at him.

“Good.” He kissed the tip of her nose and walked out of the room. “Be downstairs and by the Mercedes in five minutes or I will have to hire someone else.”

Louise felt her face reddening and wanted to run after him and hit him. “Asshole.” She muttered under her breath. She contemplated just letting him go by himself but knew she wasn’t strong enough to say no and that it wasn’t because she felt sorry for him either.

Louise and Richard arrived at London Heathrow airport about 9 hours later and it was all she could do to stop herself from uhming and ahhing. She had never been abroad before and she had always dreamed of visiting England.

“So I take it you are enjoying the view?” Richard grinned at her as they rode in the taxi to their hotel in Chelsea.

“It’s amazing.” Louise grinned at him unable to hide her joy. “I’ve always wanted to come to London.”

“Well maybe I’ll spend the weekend showing you the sites.” Richard had a boyish grin on his face and truly looked relaxed.

“Oh, you don’t have to do that.” Louise frowned. “I know we came here for work.”

“Louise, someone once told me that all work and no play makes for a dull life. “ Richard took her hand. “My meeting isn’t until Tuesday.  Today’s Friday. We’ll spend the weekend playing hooky and then on Monday we can get to work.”

“If you’re sure?” She tried to hide the excitement bubbling up inside of her. “I mean I’m not even sure what you are expecting me to do?”

“You’ll be my assistant and I’m sure.” He looked out of the window as they drove past a bunch of stores. Louise gasped as she saw Harrods, the best and most famous department store in the world. “I’ll even take you to Harrods.” He grinned at her. “Maybe we can do a modern day London style ‘Pretty Woman’.”

“What?” She turned to him with anger in her face.

“I’m joking, I’m joking.” He grinned at her. “You can pay for whatever you want in Harrods.”

“Uh huh.” She smiled at him and watched the trendy people walking down the street. She would barely be able to pay for a pair of flip-flops. She still had to find out when Richard was going to pay her; her rent was past due and she knew her electricity was about to be turned off as well. “We’ll see.” She mumbled, wondering if now was the right time to ask about payday. “Actually Richard, I had a question for you.”

“Yeah?” He looked at her curiously.

She took a deep breath and said, “When is payday and how much am I making?” She laughed awkwardly. She felt weird about asking the guy she was sleeping with and now working for, how much he was going to pay her.  She continued to babble, “I know it’s awkward to ask about money but my rent is due and I just need to know because I haven’t looked for another job and…”

Richard’s laughter cut her off and she looked at him with a frown. “It’s not funny.”

“Sorry Louise. But you are a refreshing delight in my life. How much did you make at Ben’s firm?”

“$40,000 a year.” Louise was honest, even though a part of her wanted to lie and say she had made more.

“Okay then. I’ll pay you $10,000 a month.” He smiled at her as she gasped. “Does that sound fair?”

“Uh, yeah.” She looked at him with narrowed eyes. “That is the salary for just being your assistant right? Nothing else?”

“I don’t pay for sex Louise.” His voice was calm but matter-of-fact and she flushed.

“Well you won’t be getting sex from me again.” She looked at him earnestly. “I don’t like sleeping with someone who has a girlfriend.”

“Really?” He cocked his head at her. “You know Monique and I don’t have a conventional type of relationship.”

“But you still have a relationship.” Louise swallowed hard before she continued. “I don’t want to be that type of girl.”

“What type of girl?” Richard placed his hand on her leg and started massaging her thigh.

“The type of girl that sleeps with a taken guy.” She moved away from him in the back seat and gasped as he hand squeezed her thigh and stopped her.

“I think you’ll follow your body and find that you have no problem doing what I want.” Richard’s eyes pierced hers and she felt his fingers slip under her skirt and rub up and down her panty-clad clit.

“Stop.” She hissed at him, looking to the front of the car to ensure that the taxi-driver wasn’t looking at them.

“Are you sure?” He smiled at her and slipped a finger inside her panties. She paused and involuntarily widened her legs as he slipped a finger into her. She gasped and closed her eyes as she felt her pussy moisten as his finger dipped in and out of her. He slowly withdrew his finger and wiped it on her clit before putting his finger in his mouth and sucking it. “Yummy,” he grinned at her as he stopped licking his finger. “It sure tastes like you aren’t sure.” He laughed at her wide eyes and leaned over to whisper in her ear. “You’re body doesn’t lie Louise. I can have you whenever I want you.”

She glared at him and closed her legs and turned away from him to stare out of the window. She groaned to herself as she felt her pussy still throbbing. He was right. Her body wanted him more than any man she had ever been with and she couldn’t stop herself from responding. She knew that if he were to put her on his lap right now, she would find herself fucking him as they drove along the streets of London; with no concern to whether the taxi-driver knew what they were up to or not. She sighed to herself, wondering what sort of woman she had become.

Chapter 12

The hotel was full of understated elegance. Louise was surprised and a little upset that Richard had gotten them two separate rooms. She had assumed that they would be spending their nights together and didn’t know whether she should feel happy or sad that he had gotten her her own space. Sometimes he was an enigma and she really wanted to get to know him better, outside of the bedroom.

She heard a knocking on her door and opened it to find Richard there smiling. “I hope you like the room.” He spoke as he walked in, without waiting for an invitation.

“It’s lovely. Thanks.” She beamed at him. The room was small but quaint. There was a full-sized bed with a down comforter.  There was also a fireplace and a Victorian table with paintings of different members of the aristocracy on the walls. “I feel like an English Duchess in my chambers.”

“Well is the Duchess ready to hit the town with her Lord?” Richard bowed at her and she laughed.

“Yes, my Lord.” She curtsied and picked up her bag. “Let’s go and visit the Queen.”

“I’ll just call Charles and let him know we are coming.”

“Tell William and Kate as well, I want to give them a late wedding gift.” She grinned at him and delighted in his sense of humor.

“Hmm, I’m not sure about that. I wouldn’t want William to leave Kate for you and leave me all alone. You know how British men love American women.” Richard wrinkled his nose up at her and she burst out laughing.

“Somehow I think their marriage will survive a meeting with me.”

“Let’s not test it. I don’t want to get beheaded for sleeping with the Prince’s lady.”

“Off with his head.” She laughed.

“Off with her head.” He grabbed her hand and they walked to the elevator.

“You’re not King Henry VIII in disguise are you?” She poked him in the side.

“Not if you’re Anne Boleyn out for revenge.” He raised an eyebrow at her. “Though, I wouldn’t mind having 8 wives.”

“And 20 mistresses.”

“Nah, just one mistress is fine.” His eyes caught hers and they just stared at each other silently for a few seconds, the arrival of the elevator breaking their intense look.

“I thought we would take a bus into the West End.” Richard continued holding her hand as they walked out of the hotel. “Is that okay?”

“What? No taxi?” She pouted at him.

“Oh sorry, I just thought…” Richard stopped as she burst out laughing.

“No silly. A bus is fine. In fact I would love to ride a big read double decker bus.” She squealed at him.

“Oh ok. Great.” He stared at her. “You really are something special Louise.”

She felt a glow of warmness run through her and bit back the comment she wanted to make about Monique. She just didn’t want to ruin the moment. “Thanks my Lord. You’re something pretty special too.”

They got to the bus stop and Louise looked around her in wonder. There were thousands of people milling the streets and each one seemed to have a purpose to their life. They were all walking with determination and Louise thought they all looked friendly and happy; unlike most of the people she saw in New York. It was a nice warm day which surprised her as she had always heard how grey and rainy England was.

“Come on Louise. This is us.” Richard grabbed her arm and they ran up to a number 3 bus. “Two adults please.” Richard dropped some pound coins into a slot and took the printed out ticket and Louise followed him on the stairs to the top of the bus.

“Looks like it is our lucky day.” Richard grinned at her as they walked to the front of the bus and took the two empty seats.

“They must have known royalty was coming my lord.” She smiled at him and looked in wonder out of the big windows. “Wow, I never knew how many stores and people they had here.”

“Yeah. It’s a wonderful city.” Richard looked wistful as he stared out of the window.

Louise wanted to ask him what was wrong but scared he would rebuff her. “Do you really like London then?” She asked him casually.

“My parents are from England. I grew up here for the first 11 years of my life.”

“Oh.” She looked at him curiously. She had never heard Ben talk about living in London. “Ben never told me that you guys were English.”

“Oh, Ben never lived here.” Richard looked at her carefully. “Ben and David are my cousins, not my real brothers.”

“Oh.” She wanted to ask for more information but didn’t want to appear too nosey.

“My father and his father were brothers. His dad immigrated to the States after going to College a Columbia University. He met Ben’s mom and stayed in the States.” Richard paused. “My dad went to Cambridge and met my mom. He was a doctor. She was a society girl. They died in a car crash after he caught her in bed with his partner.”

“I’m soo sorry Richard.” She looked at him in shock and tenderly grabbed his hand.

“It’s okay.” He looked at her with a half-smile. “After that I was shipped to the States to live with Ben and David. Classmates assumed we were brothers because we were all Beekman’s and it pleased them so I just went along with it. Though, I never could understand why people accepted it so easily as they are all blond and I am as dark as night.” He half-grinned at her. “I guess maybe they thought I was a bastard kid.”

“I doubt anyone thought that.” Louise leaned into him. “You are way too confident for anyone to think you were anything less than legitimate.”

“Thanks.” He put his arm around her shoulder and she rested her head on his chest as they rode along on the bus. “Ben still resents me for taking over the family business. He thinks it should be his, but it was my inheritance that was used to expand the company and so technically it is mine and mine alone.”

“But I thought there was a trust?” She looked at him in confusion.

“I set that up separately. I didn’t want Ben or David to have something I didn’t. They really are like my brothers.”

“I see.” She paused, not wanting to bring up the fact that he had slept with her while she had been dating Ben. That didn’t seem like a very brotherly thing to do.

“So I thought we would get off at Oxford Street and walk to Regent Street and go into China town for some food later. Is that okay?”

“Yeah, it sounds good.” She smiled shyly at him. “Can we go to Piccadilly Circus as well?”

“Of course.” He paused. “And tomorrow we can go to Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace if you want.”

“That sounds amazing.” Louise spoke excitedly, unable to believe how lucky she was.

“They have an Egyptian exhibit at the British Museum if you want to check that out as well.”

“You like museums?” She looked at him in surprise.

“I was an Art history major in college.” He grinned at her, laughing at the look on her face.

“No way.”
