“You’re so beautiful, Daphne,” he said, running his hands up her thighs. She reached for him, but he lowered himself to her nipple and kissed it tenderly. Then he began nuzzling her stomach, planting small kisses and licks on the skin, lower and lower, finally reaching her hip
bone and trailing his tongue over it, down onto the smooth mound between her legs.

She moaned and opened for him. Slowly and reverently he parted her labia and began to pleasure her. He licked and sucked her as if in a daze, realizing that nothing had ever felt so right before. It was as if the world clicked into place around them, setting this moment forever into his memory as the best of his life. Daphne’s hips rose to meet his mouth, and her legs spread even farther to allow him total access to her secret places. She was wet and warm and inviting, and he thought he could never get enough of her.

He took his time, building her excitement slowly. He could feel when she was close to climaxing, so he would change, taking her back down to prolong the experience. When he couldn’t stand the wait any longer, he pushed into her pussy with two fingers and began pumping into her while he sucked her clit into his mouth, pulling and gently biting it. Her sighs turned into gasps of pleasure
,
and she pushed back against him, hands clutching the quilt. Then her legs quivered
,
and she was twitching and writhing against his tongue, crying out in an orgasm that shook her entire body.

When her spasms had subsided, Finn climbed up to straddle her. They gazed at each other for a moment before she whispered, “Fuck me, Finn.”

His dick was ready and straining for its chance, and he plunged in. Her head tilted back as she threw her arms and legs around him, pulling him closer, bonding them in a way that he’d never imagined was possible. She matched his thrusts as if she wanted to take him in as fully as she could, and he buried himself in her soft, wet depths. An almost spiritual sense of connectedness spread through Finn’s mind and body as they rode the wave of their passion.

When he felt her orgasm begin again, Finn let loose, pumping even harder as his own release took him. They seemed to rise together in a wave of pleasure and ecstasy, wrapped inextricably around each other. As the flood subsided, Finn rolled to the side and lay panting next to her. Daphne turned her head to give him a sleepy, sated grin.

“Why the hell haven’t we been doing that all along?” she said, reaching over to twine her fingers with his.

It struck him at first as an irreverent thing to say right after the most mind-blowing sexual experience of his life. But if he’d wanted some kind of profound, spiritual postcoital conversation, he reminded himself, then Daphne was probably not the right one for him. A slow smile spread across his face. “Hell if I know.”

* * * *

Daphne woke in the morning with Finn’s arms around her, just as they’d been when they drifted off the night before. It was the first night she could remember since going off the sleeping pills when she hadn’t tossed and turned for at least a few hours, trying to convince her body to settle into sleep. She lay still for about twenty minutes, enjoying the feel of Finn’s heat suffusing her and his breath brushing her shoulder, reliving the night before. As much as she’d wanted Finn, she’d never dreamed how glorious sex with him would be. It was as if they had fused into one person. She’d wanted to climb inside him, become part of his body and his life in ways that she didn’t understand. When he finally stirred, she turned and kissed him.

“How did you sleep?” His voice was husky and rough
,
and he seemed to have trouble getting his eyes to stay open.

“I slept great,” she said, pushing him back down when he tried to sit up. “You relax. I’m going to pay you back for last night.”

He mumbled something but didn’t make a move to protest when she kissed his chest and ran her tongue down the length of his torso. She scooted herself down, pushing the blankets aside until she had uncovered his penis, large and stiff with a morning erection.

It bobbed and bounced when she touched a finger to it, and she smiled with satisfaction, planting a kiss on the very tip. Finn stirred then, starting to lift himself up, but she put a hand on his stomach and took the end of his cock into her mouth. He relaxed, moaning, and one hand reached down to stroke her head.

The feel of his fingers pulling gently on her hair gave Daphne a feeling that she was beginning to recognize. She felt powerful and strong, but at the same time, she yearned to offer herself, body and soul, to him. She took as much into her mouth as she could, enjoying the salty taste of him, the way his skin was so soft even though the penis was rock-hard underneath it. She pulled back and took it in her hands, rubbing until a drop of pre
-
cum formed on the tip. It was sweet when she licked it off, and another immediately took its place. She began to suck in earnest, desperate to show him how much she wanted to please him, wanting to take everything he could give her, enjoying the way he was beginning to thrust his hips, pushing into her mouth. She matched his rhythm, burrowing one hand under his leg to fondle his balls and curling the other around the base of his cock. Both of his hands now gripped her hair, making her feel strangely even more aroused and submissive. She felt her own juices begin to flow and marveled at how much pleasure she could get from servicing him.

Then he came, shooting into her mouth and down her throat. A wave of bliss went through her. She couldn’t get enough, do enough for him. She sucked until the pulsing in his cock subsided and then swallowed, licking the last drops from the end and resting her head on his abdomen.

They were silent for a few minutes, and she could tell by his breathing that he was dozing contentedly after his come, his hand still twined in her hair. There was no place else in the world she would rather be right then. She thought about Decker. She should be feeling like a slut, after what had happened with both men last night. But strangely the only thing that bothered her was the fact that she hadn’t discussed polyamory with Finn. She chewed on her lip. Could she bring it up now? If she didn’t do it soon, Decker might get tired of waiting and go away. But if she brought it up now Finn might think she was pressuring him. It was confusing.

The alarm went off
,
and Finn jumped out of bed as if he’d been shot.

“Sorry, Daph,” he said, realizing he’d shoved her off him in his haste.

“It’s okay.” She scrambled up and kissed him. “Good morning again.”

“Yes. Thanks.” His eyes dropped
,
and he half
turned toward the bathroom.

“Oh, no.” Daphne groaned. “What’s wrong now?”

He stopped, looking into her face as if he’d expected it to be changed somehow.

“Are you okay with everything?”

“Of course. Aren’t you?”

“And you don’t wish it was Decker you’d—last night?”

She was tempted to tell him that she’d fucked Decker also, before she’d come to his room. His expression would have been priceless. But it would have been a cruel joke, even if it was half
true. She pushed down her smart-ass instinct and forced herself to remain serious, going down on her knees in front of him.

“No, I don’t. I wanted you, and I’m very glad it happened the way it did. If we’re going to be together, then I need us to be together completely. Is that still what you want?”

After a moment his serious expression softened
,
and he nodded. “Yes, I do. I’m sorry that I get a little insecure. I’m going to work today on a list of things that we can use as public expressions of appreciation.”

Daphne put her arms around his hips and nuzzled his stomach. “And I’ll think about things we can do for private expressions of—appreciation.”

He laughed, putting his hands in her hair and sending waves of heat through her again. “You do that, Daph. I love you.”

She looked up, startled. “I love you
,
too, Sir.”

His eyebrows went up
,
and he opened his mouth as if he was going to say something. But he closed it again and smoothed down her hair, smiling.

“If we’re going to do this, though, we need to get you on some sort of birth control. We can’t take the risk of you getting pregnant, like we did last night. Unless you would rather use condoms, that is.”

“No.” She crinkled her nose. “I hate condoms. Besides, I’m already on the pill.”

“Okay, then. Let’s get tested just to be responsible so we can enjoy each other completely. I guess I’d better get a shower.” He helped her to her feet and found her clothes.

Daphne took them but didn’t bother to put anything on as she went to her own room. The house was clothing-optional, after all, and if anybody had a problem with her walking around naked, they shouldn’t be here. Besides, she was too distracted by what had happened to worry about it. Finn had actually said that he loved her. He hadn’t had to be threatened or anything. Maybe it was actually true. She knew her declaration had been true. She’d always loved him, although it had seemed more and more hopeless lately. If they could just keep from fighting and ruining everything.

Chapter 14

Allie was out for her morning stroll. Since Daphne and crew had arrived, she’d taken to walking up and down the road in the mornings to check for paparazzi. The first two weeks had been pretty bad, with plenty of visitors like the one Chuck had caught hiding in the bushes. They had gotten a couple pictures of Daphne sunbathing and one of her leaving on the back of Blaze’s bike. Allie didn’t know where Daphne went with Blaze, if not to miscellaneous parties, but those trips seemed to upset Finn more than her trips into town to the bar. Something drastic had definitely happened during the last disappearance, when she claimed she’d slept on the front porch all night. She looked as if she’d been dragged through a war zone when Allie had found her.

She knew Karl worried that someone who routinely hid in bushes to photograph people could be dangerous. So she had reluctantly agreed to carry a small can of
M
ace with her when she went out for her walks. As she approached the driveway leading into Clifftop Fantasies, a rustling noise in the woods caught her attention. Allie stopped dead, staring toward the sound. She wasn’t afraid of having her picture taken, or of someone attacking her, despite Karl’s warnings. She was more afraid of losing her temper at the intruder and doing something she would regret later. Would Chuck arrest her, she wondered, if she actually used the chemical spray? Slowly she crept to the edge of a bush and peered around it as quietly as she could. She thought she saw movement in the middle distance, toward the road, but if it was a person, he had disappeared behind the trees.
Maybe a bear trap
would stop them
.
Hmm.
She smiled to herself as she went back to the house.

Decker was standing on the front porch. He had a cup of coffee in one hand, and to be honest, he didn’t look much better than Daphne had that Sunday morning.

“Good morning,” he said politely. “You don’t get enough exercise cooking and cleaning for all of your resident maniacs?”

She smiled. “Actually I get plenty that way, but I’ve started checking for reporters since Daphne came. I don’t want future guests thinking that they’re going to end up in the tabloids if they take their clothes off in the backyard. I know it’s silly, but I worry.”

“Understandable. Thanks for making coffee before you went out.” He raised his cup as a salute and followed her into the kitchen.

“You kind of look like you needed it. Is anything wrong?”

Decker grunted and sat down at the kitchen table while Allie took down a large griddle and plugged it into the wall.

“By the way, I really like your cooking,” Decker told her, grinning as she pulled out an odd assortment of food from the cupboard and fridge. “It’s unusual, but good.”

“Really?” Allie stopped opening packages and looked at him. “Do you mean that? Sometimes I don’t think anybody does, and I should just start buying doughnuts and making spaghetti or hamburgers every night.”

“Don’t do that. Without your turnip muffins this would be just a run-of-the-mill kinky resort. Boring.” He chuckled as he watched her pour applesauce, several kinds of flour and what looked like sprouts into a bowl.

“Feeling better? Now will you tell me what’s wrong?” She began stirring in milk and then added a generous serving of chocolate chips.

“I’m just—frustrated, I guess.” Decker poured himself another cup of coffee. “What are you making?”

“Pancakes. But don’t change the subject. What are you frustrated about?” She tested the griddle with a drop of water and began pouring batter onto it. Then she turned to him with a shrewd look. “Is it Daphne?”

“Don’t you usually put eggs in pancakes?” He peered at the lumpy and somewhat bristly shapes. “And are those bean sprouts?”

“No, they’re wheat
-
berry sprouts. Very healthy. And the applesauce takes the place of eggs. So is it Daphne?” She took a package of sliced ham out of the fridge and began frying it.

He sat down again. “Yeah. I think it’s probably time I left. I’m just complicating things for them.”
