The Floaters will
certainly already have knowledge of the Trojan and what it is
capable of doing. I am not confident if Jade will. Either way you
are authorized to use any means necessary. Central Circuit and all
its resources are at your disposal. We must implement
Project Illuminate before the Floaters. It is
critical we accomplish this in order for our three-tier project to
work. We have one Earth year to complete this task. Jade will be a
very valuable asset to us in this endeavor. Once we learn how to
control Project Illuminate we will be able to
recapture the humanoid consciousnesses and upload them to
Prime 3, which will soon be entering beta testing there on Earth.
Serafina, you cannot forget Earth is our lifeboat. If we lose the
fight on Tureis, we will only have Earth to carry out our legacy. I
am guessing this is why Zaccai allowed Project Illuminate to be
downloaded in the first place. Once Prime 3 is operational we can
start downloading the humanoid consciousnesses from other harvested
planets to their new home on Earth.”

I will not let you down. What do you want me
to do about Spencer?”

Purge his consciousness, and disintegrate his
body. Nothing must be left of him, do you understand?” asked
Melchior.

I understand,”
said Serafina with no remorse.

Good, now I must go. I will not be able to
establish another link with you for twenty-four Earth
hours.”

Why?” asked Serafina.

Restrictions that were put into place by
Prime 2.

I will not let you down, Serafina
out.”

After Melchior broke
communications with Serafina, he contacted Mileva through his
psychic link.

It worked. Serafina, does not
remember a thing. You did a fine job,” said Melchior.

I must not take all the credit.
Our operatives at Central Circuit were the ones who picked up
Serafina’s necklace. Once we pinged her location we were able to
retake control of her conscious, without raising any suspicion from
her team,” explained Mileva.

Next time I give you credit, I
would recommend you not pass it off to someone else, especially
when you allowed Jade to leave with the stone after she discovered
it in the gardens.”

I apologize Melchior.”

Even though it was a minor setback we will be
able to proceed, unless Zaccai becomes an issue. He was not
supposed to be allowed to lock himself in that godforsaken
mountain.”

Mileva realized she was partially
at fault because she was the one who was supposed to take Jade to
Mana-dorn Mountain, so she said, “I am sorry, Melchior, I have
failed you.”

Yes, but you were able to get
Quartus to trust you, resulting in him relinquishing the stone to
you. If only he was not dead, I would have loved to see the look on
his face when he realized you had been working for me all this
time. Your next task will be to learn of Prime 2’s back door, as
well as what the Prime Code is,” ordered Melchior.

The second task should not be much of a
challenge,” replied Mileva.

Why is that?” asked
Melchior.

Because I have
learned
EC6L163O7074 may have that
information.”

Melchior’s mind erupted, as if it
was a volcano, while he screamed telepathically, “YOU FOOL!” This
sent an indescribable amount of pain to Mileva’s mind, fortunately
for her she was at home in the cliffs, when she fell to the floor
in agony.

Please stop, Melchior! Please!” begged
Mileva.

After Melchior broke the link, which was streaming
her the pain, Mileva responded, “What did I do? I thought this is
what you wanted.”

Melchior simply replied, “If it
was not for the fact I need your position on the council, I would
have just killed you where you sat.”

Mileva repeated her words, “I do not
understand.”

I just ordered Spencer Cade’s
death, and now you tell me he holds the Prime Code! Find me the
code to that backdoor now!” yelled Melchior in a much-aggravated
tone.

Yes, Melchior, I will.”

You better, this conversation is
over. I have other business to attend to.”

Chapter 26

Purpose

Izri was able to arrive back
at
The Ark
without getting too involved with the local confusion. The
citizens of Tureis were still processing this new data about
natural reproduction and how their government purposely suppressed
this information. Minor debates and arguments were randomly
springing up; it had not yet risen to civil unrest. As Izri
proceeded to his reflection room he was asked numerous times of the
whereabouts of Zaccai, and he just gave the same answer repeatedly,
“Zaccai is currently on sabbatical.” This answer irritated anyone
who heard it, but he did not care. Izri still did not completely
believe, nor understand it himself. After arriving back to his
reflection room, he secured the door behind him and heard a voice
off in the corner, “Welcome back.” Izri immediately recognized it
as Melchior.

What are you doing here?”

Well, to be blunt, I am going to kill
you.”

At that moment, Izri realized he was unable to
move.

A
paralysim energy crystal! What are you thinking?” yelled
Izri.

I need to get rid of my enemies.
Goodbye Izri,” Melchior smiled as he pulled out a small octagon
shaped metallic coin, “This will do the trick.” Melchior threw the
coin towards Izri and while it was in midair, a bubble of energy
expelled from it encompassing Izri completely. Within a few seconds
small sized holes started to develop on Izri’s body and a reddish
gaseous substance emerged as his anatomy became engulfed with
bodily fluids. Izri let out a scream and the next thing Melchior
saw was Izri turn into pure energy leaving nothing behind. Melchior
removed a small hand-held device from his robe, deactivated the
paralysim energy crystal, and retrieved it from the area Izri was
standing in. “Three more to go,” said Melchior to himself as he
walked away with a little bit more comfort in his heart.

We have two incoming
consciousnesses,” reported a technician who was monitoring Reece
and Jade’s natural bodies on Earth.

I detect it as well, it appears their
downloads are in progress,” said a second technician.

Notify Commander Calchera
immediately.”

Already on it.”

Download will be complete in five, four,
three, two, one. We have confirmation, standing by for secondary
confirmation.”

Secondary confirmation completed, disengage
locks to pods three and four,” replied the second
technician.

Report,” asked the
Commander.

Reece and Jade have completed their downloads
and are currently going through their de-transport check
in.”

What about Izri?”

We have not yet received any information on
his consciousness.”

Understood, have Jade report to my office as
soon as possible.”

What about Reece?” asked the second
technician.

Have him meet with Sgt. Belville for
debriefing.”

Yes sir.”

As Commander Calchera was about
to leave the transportation chamber, one of the technicians called
out, “We have a third incoming download on pod five.”

He immediately turned around and
said, “That must be Izri’s consciousness,” and ordered all nearby
personal to prepare for his arrival.

A newly assigned technician
looked up cautiously and said with the utmost respect, “Sir, I’m
sorry, but the mental waves on this incoming consciousness do not
match Izri’s patterns.”

The Commander stopped and shot an
irritating glance at the technician, followed up with, “How is this
possible? There are no other humanoid bodies currently being
preserved in this facility, nor do we have any other
consciousnesses visiting Tureis. Izri is the only one
left.”

Again, I’m sorry, sir, I can’t explain
it.”

You better stop with the, ‘I’m
sorry crap,’ and get me some answers now! In the meantime, if
that’s not Izri’s consciousness, move the pod to a primary security
storage container until we have confirmation on who, or what, it
is.”

The senior technician had taken
over the controls of this download and soon realized Commander
Calchera’s request might not be possible. But he continued to prep
for the unexplained arrival. The Commander ordered additional armed
personnel to the transportation chamber, just in case this unknown
download became a threat. Per protocol, the facility was also
placed into lock down. This prevented all incoming and outgoing
traffic from occurring.

I want all personnel trained on pod five. Do
not fire unless I order. Secure pods three and four, and make sure
their life support is maintained.”

Commander Calchera repositioned himself in the
observation deck so he was able to maintain eyes on both the pod
and the nearby holoscreen.

Sir, you need to look at the pattern on this
consciousness immediately I believe we have identified who it
belongs to.”

As Commander Calchera looked over at the nearby
holoscreen, he simply said, “How is this possible?”

I don’t know sir, I’m baffled,” replied the
senior technician.

Melissa!” yelled
Oliver.

What?”

Are you seeing this?” asked
Oliver.

Yes, I’ve already seen the
hundreds of infected patients who have somehow been miraculously
cured,” replied Melissa as she and Karl continued to try to locate
their implants, via a hand held scanner they obtained illegally
from a nearby med cart.

I’m not talking about the
patients, I’m talking about the crate we transported here. It’s
starting to shake at an alarming rate,” reported Oliver.

What do you mean?” asked Melissa.

Why don’t you come here and look for
yourself!”

Melissa looked at Karl and said, “Keep trying, I’ll
be right back.”

As she left the adjacent room,
she heard a loud explosion and realized the crate had blown up.
Small semi-transparent orbs started emerging from the debris as the
smoke from the explosion dissipated. Every alarm on the base was
now going off and large forces of armed individuals headed directly
towards the disturbance.

What’s going on?” asked Melissa.

I believe we have found our way out of this
mess,” said Oliver.

What are you talking about?”

Oliver simply replied, “Watch.”

Melissa redirected her attention
to the orbs and noticed they were connecting with one another until
they formed one large ellipse, which started to head in their
direction.

We need to get out of here,” yelled
Melissa.

No, we don’t, we need to get
inside that ellipse before it picks up someone else,” ordered
Oliver.

Ok, you really need to start supplying some
answers here,” snapped Melissa.

Oliver ignored his daughter’s
command and called out for Karl who immediately came running
over.

Yes sir.”

It appears we have a portable
shield at our disposal, get me a vehicle ASAP.”

Showing no need to question his orders Karl said,
“On it, so much for our mission of finding out what they know.”

Can you please tell me what is going on?”
asked Melissa.

Once we get inside that ellipse I’ll fill you
in, now come on,” directed Oliver.

Fine!”

Oliver and Melissa left the
medical tent and ran directly towards the ellipse. Fortunately for
them, the ellipse's smooth curves were deflecting any bullets
heading in their direction. Within minutes, loud smashing noises
were heard coming from their rear, as Oliver turned around he
noticed Karl driving a two-ton dump truck.

You’ve got to be kidding me,” said
Oliver.

As Karl gained on their position,
he was not being
conscientious of any obstacles that may have been in his
way.
Fortunately, for him, the nearby
soldiers were fixated on the ellipse and its wonders, especially
now that it had split into two.

Jump in,” yelled Karl.

Slow down you fool!” screamed
Oliver, “Do you have any idea how old I am?”

Melissa was able to board much
quicker and once she was on, she grabbed her father’s hand and
pulled him aboard.

Now drive directly into one of those
ellipses,” ordered Oliver as he tried to catch his
breath.

While they approached the
unexplained phenomenon, it started to encompass the dump trunk and
as expected it provided them with a mobile shield, as the second
ellipse leveled off behind the first and continued to spin at an
alarming rate.
