My Team Canada picture, taken before the Series started in 1972.

With Eleanor in Moscow’s famous Red Square, taken during the 1972 Summit Series.

Hockey fans in Moscow liked autographs as much as Canadian fans did, and it was great to meet and mingle with some of them in Red Square.

A good luck telegram all the way from my hometown to Moscow. It was so uplifting to know a whole country was behind us.

One of my favourite artists’ renditions of
The Goal
, a beautiful job done by William Burdon.

The Henderson clan in the backyard of our house after the 1972 Summit Series, from a newspaper story that was done on us. Jill is in front, Jennifer on the left, and Heather on the right, with Eleanor at the back.

After The Goal was scored, the kids (and Wendy Sittler, who was watching them while we were gone) were besieged by autograph hunters. They finally had to put up a sign “We have
NO
autographs left!” Jill, the youngest, is in front, with Heather in the back in the middle, and Jennifer.

From my first season with the Toronto Toros of the
WHA
, 1974–75.

It was back to Russia for the 1974
WHA
Series, and young Russian fans wanted to meet some of us. On the left is Mark Howe, then Tom Webster, and on my right, Ralph Backstrom.

I got called up to the Atlanta Flames in 1979–80 for one more taste of the
NHL
.

Proud of our family of “bikers” – from the left, our son-in-law Mike and daughter Jennifer Thompson, with their daughter-in-law Jesse and son Josh.

My daughter, Heather, and son-in-law, Alex, with their kids Zachary, Charlotte, and Brandon.
