But she did consider herself Zac’s girlfriend. His lover. His confidante and friend. And he promised to make a point of visiting Paris at least every other month. In between those visits, Skype served them well. She’d never gotten so much use out of her vibrator as she had in the last few weeks while Skyping Zac.

So I made the decision to stick with what I was using, as it reads (to those of us who don't know French) like what we would expect it to mean, and to use the correct translation wouldn't have made a great title for a shoe corporation.
