SMALL WORLD
Chapter Nineteen
Nautica sat back and looked over the room that she’d just completely remodeled within hours. Wet and sweaty from all the moving, she decided to get in the shower, to be fresh when her man came home. She was looking forward to seeing bo that night. She glanced at the clock. It was just a few minutes after 2:00
A.M.
Tical should be here any minute
.
Nautica slipped out of her clothes and went to the bathroom. The walk-in shower was made of glass, so she was able to watch the local news on the TV that hung from the wall in the corner of the spacious bathroom as she showered.
Tical and his entourage walked into his house talking about the night’s happenings. He’d invited his crew, old and new, back to his place after the party. Millie, Gunplay, Church, and Loon went into the den.
“This is a nice crib,” Church said as he looked around and sat down on the big comfortable sectional.
Tical grabbed a bottle of Belvedere from his bar and five shot glasses from his cabinet. He walked over to join everyone else and began to pour the cups full and everyone grabbed a glass. He raised his glass. “This is to a new era and a flawless operation.”
Everyone else raised their glass as well and took the shot.
Just as Tical wiped his mouth, he heard Nautica’s heels clicking down the porcelain stairs.
Nautica heard noise downstairs, so she knew Tical had made it in. She smiled as she sat in her vanity mirror and stroked her hair with a brush. She wore a silk nightgown and slipped on her six-inch stilettos that Tical loved so much. She always walked around the house with the heels, knowing it turned her man on.
She stood up, with her robe open, and looked at her nude body. She began to rub baby oil on her body everywhere, except on her vagina. She didn’t want Tical to taste anything but her natural juices. She closed her robe and headed downstairs to greet her man, making her steps loud so that the sound of her heels clicking echoed throughout the house.
As she made it to the last step, Tical was standing in the entrance of the den, smiling at her. “Hey, beautiful,” he said, leaning against the doorway, hands in his pockets. His sleeves were rolled up a bit, showing his tatted forearms.
“Hey, baby.” Nautica lit up. She loved the way he looked in his loose tie and unbuttoned dress shirt. And the way his shoulders filled out his shirt. Not to mention the slight bulge in his dress pants, which only made her love button begin to thump.
Nautica opened her robe, exposing her neatly trimmed bush and oiled body. Tical eyes got big as he rushed over to her. He quickly closed her robe. “We have company, girl.”
“Sorry, baby.” She hugged Tical, as they both shared a laugh. She glanced toward the den but couldn’t see because of the dipping stairs that led to it.
Tical kissed her passionately. “Go slip on some clothes, so I can introduce you.”
“Okay, just give me a minute.”
As Nautica made her way back up the stairs, Tical kept his eyes glued to her backside, her fat ass shifting from side to side. He shook his head and returned to the den.
Minutes later Nautica returned downstairs and headed into the den. She could hear the music playing from the surround sound speakers. She entered the den and saw Tical, Gunplay, Millie and—“Oh my God,” she whispered. Her breaths became shallow, and her heart skipped a beat. She saw Loon looking directly at her. The pale skin and freckly face was like a shot to the head for her.
“There you go, babygirl. Come in and let me introduce you to my peoples.”
Nautica walked toward Tical, a confused expression all over her face.
What the fuck is going on? Oh my God
.
Tical placed his hand on the small of her back. “Nautica, this is Loon and Church. They are going to be around here for a while.”
Loon clenched his jaws as he stared at Nautica. He’d been looking for her for over a year. He thought he was dreaming, but he looked closer and confirmed that it was her. He stood up, his eyes still on her. He quickly turned his frown into a smile and extended his hand. “Hello. It’s nice to meet you. You look very familiar,” Loon said as he walked in front of her. The last time he’d seen her was in the hotel room with Khia and Zion. Loon squeezed her hand tight, but Nautica didn’t flinch.
“You probably saw her on TV. She’s a actress for
The Wire
. My baby talented.” Tical smiled and winked his eye at Nautica.
Nautica, her hands soaking wet out of fear and nervousness, remained silent as she shook his hand.
“Oh yeah, baby,” Tical said, “he’s from Flint. That’s like only an hour away from where you are from, right?”
“Yeah, something like that.” Nautica pulled her hand away from Loon and put on a forced smile.
“It’s a small world, huh.” Loon looked at Nautica without even blinking, his blood boiling.
“Yeah, small world,” Nautica said almost in a whisper.
Tical looked over at Church. “And this is my man Church. Me and his family go way back.”
“What’s good, ma? Nice to meet you.” Church put two fingers up and continued to sip on his drink.
Gunplay looked up from rolling a spliff. “What up, sis?”
“Hey, Gunplay.” Nautica was terrified at that point, not knowing what the hell Loon was doing there and how he knew Tical. “Hey, Millie,” she said, trying to not let her uneasiness show.
Millie threw her head up, not really wanting to acknowledge Nautica.
“Nautica spoke to you,” Tical said with a slightly raised voice, like a father telling his daughter to straighten up.
Millie put on a phony smile. “Hello. How are you, Nautica?”
Nautica turned to Tical and laid her hands on her chest. “Baby, I just came down to speak. I’m about to go upstairs and go to sleep.”
“Okay, baby, I will be up after everyone leaves.” Tical kissed her on her forehead.
When Nautica turned to leave, she heard Loon say, “It was nice meeting you.”
She shot up the stairs in complete bewilderment.
Nautica, her mind racing and her hands shaking, paced the bedroom back and forth, not knowing what to do or think. She whispered, “Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!”
“I gotta use the bathroom.” Gunplay took another shot.
The whole crew had been drinking and playing dominoes for about an hour, and everyone was wasted. Except for Loon. His mind was focused on how in the hell he stumble upon Nautica. He barely watched TV, so he’d never noticed her on the show, or ever thought to look outside of Flint.
At first, murderous thoughts went through his head, but when he saw how much Tical cared about Nautica, he began to get other thoughts. He was going to make her suffer before killing her.
“Yo’, I gotta use the john too. You got a spare bathroom?” Loon stood up.
Tical stopped shuffling the dominoes and pointed toward the stairs. “Yeah, upstairs. First door to your right.”
“Cool.”
Loon went up to the second level and saw the bedroom light on. He slowly crept toward the bedroom and peeked in. Nautica was taking off her clothes and slipping into some nightwear. He always wanted to sex her. He walked in without her noticing, grabbed her from behind, and kissed her neck.
Nautica smiled. “What took you so long?” She backed her ass into him. She quickly jumped back when she realized it wasn’t Tical holding her.
“What? Not who you expected?”
Nautica looked into the hall to make sure no one else was there. “What the fuck are you doing here?” she asked in a harsh whisper.
“I’m the one who’s asking all the questions, bitch! I was there the night you and that bitch killed Zion. I also got that shit on tape.” Loon looked at her intensely.
“Liar,” she said, not believing him.
“Am I lying? How would I know that you and Khia killed him, huh? I was in the closet taping the whole thing.”
“Oh my God!” Nautica put her hand over her mouth, and her eyes got watery.
“Don’t worry. I’m not going to tell Tical. Zion did a lot of dirt. His past was bound to catch up with him anyway.”
Nautica continued to check the door. “So what the fuck do you want from me?”
“I’m staying in the Inner Harbor’s Holiday Inn, Room 731. Meet me there five o’clock sharp tomorrow, and we’ll talk then. If your ass don’t show up, I’ma let Tical know about his sweet li’l wifey. And maybe I’ll send a copy of the tape to the police. Yeah, I think I might do that.” Loon felt good having Nautica wrapped around his finger. “Meet me there or else,” he said just before returning downstairs to join the crew.
CREEPING WITH THE ENEMY
Chapter Twenty
Chills went down Nautica’s back as she stood in front of Room 731 and prepared to knock on Loon’s hotel door. Everything inside of her was telling her to leave, but the thought of Tical finding out about her past plagued her. She hesitantly knocked on the door and waited for a response. Moments later the door opened, and Loon stood there with baggy jeans and a wifebeater. He looked Nautica up and down like she was a piece of meat, as he played with the toothpick hanging out from his mouth. He stepped to the side so she could walk in.
Nautica entered the room, wondering what was next.
Loon always wanted a dime piece, but his appearance never allowed him to do so. In fact, he’d never had sex with a woman without paying for it and was hot and ready. And as Nautica stood in front of him, he only had one thing on his mind. He had something over her head and was going to make the most of it before killing her. He stared at her hips. “I’m glad you could make it.”
Nautica gave him a look of total repulsion, her arms crossed tight. “What the fuck did you tell me to come here for, Loon?”
“I just want to taste you.” Loon licked his lips and dropped to his knees.
Nautica looked at him like he was crazy. “Fuck that!”
“You sure about that?” he asked sarcastically, his eyes on her pussy print, only thinking about having oral sex with her.
“You a sick mu’fucka!” Nautica turned and headed for the door.
“Nautica! I want you to see something.” Loon walked over to the television and clicked it on.
Nautica’s eyes shot to the screen, where she and Khia were wrapped up in a sixty-nine position. Tears began to form in her eyes. She unbuttoned her pants, pulled it down, and let Loon have his way with her.
THREE MONTHS AFTER THE STORM
Chapter Twenty-one
Nautica lay on her belly and let the sun beam on her back as she rested comfortably on Tical’s gigantic yacht, shades covering her eyes, her two-piece Burberry swimsuit hugging her curves. The shot looked like a scene out of a rap video.
Reading over her script for the following week’s shoot, she was having a hard time concentrating. She couldn’t block Loon out of her head. It had been three months since he’d been blackmailing her, and he’d had oral sex with her five times, including the first time in his hotel room.
I wish somebody would kill that nigga. I can’t just keep on letting him do whatever to me. It got to be another way for me to make this shit go away
. She put her script down and sipped on her piña colada.
It was New Year’s Eve, and Tical had invited everyone on the yacht that particular Sunday. He had a big celebration planned at the club later that night, but they started the party early amongst themselves on the yacht. Uncomfortable with Loon’s presence on the yacht, Nautica chose to stay on the top deck away from everyone else. Whenever she was in the same room with Loon and Tical, she got jittery, thinking Loon would bust her out at any moment. She desperately hoped that Tical and her could hurry and leave Baltimore like they’d been planning.
Nautica had to use the restroom, so she headed to the bottom deck, where the bathroom was. As she was heading back up the top deck, Loon was coming down the stairs with a bottle of champagne, and eyes red from the purple haze he’d been smoking. He backed her down the stairs.
Nautica tensed up and tried to avoid looking in his eyes. “Loon, not here.”
Loon grew horny at the thought of Tical being so close while he was about to have his way with his woman. “You do what I say when I say.” He gripped her arm and began to kiss her neck sloppily.
“Stop, Loon,” she said in a harsh whisper. She tried to push him away, but he was too strong for her.
“You know you want it.” Loon bit her earlobe and pulled her closer to him by her waist.
Nautica struggled with him and laid a hard slap on his face, causing him to release her. She almost regretted it.
Loon grabbed his face. He grinned. “I like it rough. I’ll see you later on,” he said as he headed back up the stairs to the deck area.
Nautica balled up her fist. “I can’t do this shit,” she said, clenching her jaws.
She walked up to the deck and straightened up her bikini top, which Loon had slightly twisted. When she looked up, Gunplay was standing right there. She quickly headed to the third deck, hoping he didn’t see Loon down there with her.
