Roman Catholic
schools, John Teosin (b. 1938) and his brother-in-law, Francis Hagai, formed a family co-operative which in 1957 developed into a co-operative society involving half the Buka population in plantations, stores, transport, etc. In 1961, they set up their own ‘church’.
