The partaking of the consecrated elements at the Christian
eucharist
. Along with
Lord's Supper
it is also (as in the
Book of Common Prayer
) another name for the whole service of the eucharist.

A belief professed in the Christian

creed. It points to the whole company of the faithful, living and dead, in union with Christ and with each other. The Latin

could also mean ‘communion of holy things’, i.e. a sharing especially in the
