Likkutei Amarim
(Collected Sayings) is the principal text of the movement. The work is also known as
Tanya
and is, unlike most
asidic works, a systematic exposition. It is often referred to as the ‘written law of the
abad’; and Shne’ur Zalman is known as Ba‘al ha-Tanya.
