"Meanie no like Veck teasing. Meanie no tease Veck," he rumbled, his eyes twinkling at me.

I slapped his ass hard and felt a sense of satisfaction fill me when he yelped and glowered down at me, for real this time.

"Then don't do that either!" I snapped belligerently and tried to squirm out of his hold.

He pinned me down and bit gently at my neck, ignoring my protests, thrusting himself inside me when I started to slide off of him.

"Wife," he growled as he pulled out again, then immediately thrust back in.

I cried out in pleasure.

I gripped the fur on his chest and pulled, his cock jumping at the not so gentle tug.

His pace grew, quickening as his thrusting became a harsh pounding, his pelvis hitting my clit with every rough entry.

I wrapped my legs tighter around his waist and gripped his shoulders, my fingers digging into flesh and fur.

He stopped and sat up suddenly, taking me with him as he pulled us up into a sitting position.

I cried out when he slammed me back down on him and I felt the head of his penis at the mouth of my womb.

Yes! Right there!

He rammed me onto him a few more times and my body clenched around his, my inner walls gripping his cock tightly as my body tried to suck his shaft impossibly deeper, sending me over the edge.

Veck shouted out my name, pumping rapidly as his cock stiffened up even more and he came deep inside of me.

He continued to saw in and out of me, thrusting shallowly, waiting until our passion ebbed before he groaned and reluctantly stopped

I slumped against him and sighed happily.

A small giggled escaped me, followed by another happy sigh.

Veck tickled his fingertips along the base of my neck and I laughed, swatting his hand away.

His chest rumbled and vibrated when I threatened to do it back.

Settling myself back down on top of him, I nuzzled his chest, feeling a little playful at the moment.

I placed tiny biting kisses along his furry pecs, loving the grunts and groans I elicited from him.

Still nuzzling his chest, I rooted around until I found what I wanted and clamped down, biting his nipple hard.

I grinned when he jumped and pulled back a little, cupping his injured nub.

"What?" I asked innocently when he gave me a narrow eyed stare, his lips pursing.

"Meanie want Veck to bite?" he grumbled, giving me a flash of fang.

"No." I smiled, pulling him close again.

"What Meanie bite Veck for?" he questioned curiously.

"You're mine," I teased
, swirling my fingers around his bitten nipple, "Do I really need a reason?"

He shivered, then purred.

I pinched it gently, my thumb coming in to play now as I flicked the end.

His cock twitched.

He grunted, but didn't say anything else, purring when I rubbed the injured, now sensitive nub, settling us both on the bed together, drawing my mating fur over my shoulders as he pulled me back into his arms.

"Why were you growling earlier when you looked at the door? You said you weren't mad at me, but I really thought you were going to take off on me or make me leave," I said thoughtfully.

"Kirch and Bia want Meanie. Veck no share Meanie tonight," he groused, resting his chin on top of my head.

"They were outside?" I squeaked, peeking towards the door wide eyed.

"Mmmm, hmm," he murmured, getting drowsy.

I contemplated that for a moment and a thought occurred to me.

"How long were they out there, Veck?"

He didn't answer me right away and I couldn't see his face snuggled up as we were.

"Veck?"

He shrugged and I could feel him smirking against my scalp.

I slapped at him, trying to pull back enough to glare at him.

"You knew and you didn't tell me! They could have heard us!" I buried my face in my hands and felt a blush creeping up all over my face, blossoming down my neck.

He grinned at me and said proudly, "Kirch heard. Bia left."

"Oh!" I huffed at him, mortified at the idea that we'd had an audience,
yet amused and flattered at Veck’s need to show them he's mine as much as I'm his.

Okay... alright... maybe the idea of Kirch listening in, my own personal, avid audience... is a bit of a turn on... just a bit.

Maybe more than a bit.

My sex clenched and I chewed on my lip.

Yup, Mina, you're a little twisted...

But at least I'm honest with myself about it
, I argued right back in my head.
Maybe even a little crazy too...

...I mean, come on, I
do
talk to myself like this...

I settled myself back down against him, sighing at Veck
, as if in exasperation.

"If it was anyone else, I would have kicked their ass for what you did," I murmured sleepily.

He snorted at my statement, so I amended it with, "Well, I would have
tried
to anyways."

"My Meanie," he said proudly, "Big spirit, little body."

"Yeah, yeah," I said on a yawn, "You already married me, you couldn't possibly butter me up anymore."

I fell asleep bouncing against my mate’s chest as he laughed boisterously at my sassy attitude.

Chapter 12

I woke up to sunlight and a terrible clanking sound.
I peeked one eye open to find Veck watching me, quietly studying me as I tried to get my wits about me.

"What's all the racket?" I asked right before I stretched myself out on the bed.

Veck purred when the blanket rode down, exposing all of my naked flesh to his hungry eyes.

The front door swung open, without any warning
, and I grabbed a fur to tug it up over me.

Bia walked in and set a bundle of things down.

Just walked right in! Like it’s perfectly normal to do so.

He stopped and glanced up at me, staring at my bare shoulders as I tried to cover up all of my good bits and wiggle behind a very amused Veck.

Veck was grinning from ear to ear at my modesty, a smug expression on his face as I hid behind him.

"I'm not decent," I called to Bia from behind the gloating lug I call husband.

"I don't mind," Bia said casually, irritating me further.

"Well, I do!" I clippe
d snootily.

Bia just chuckled and left, closing the door shut behind him.

"You really need to show me how you lock that damned thing," I muttered as I searched for something decent to wear.

"What's wrong, wife?" Veck asked, trying to hide a chuckle.

"Oh, shut up!" I growled at him.

"V
eck loves Meanie too," Veck purred, chuckling at me, dodging my boot as it sailed past his head.

"What do they think they're doing?" I asked Veck as we left the cottage.

I eyed Kirch and Bia warily as they stacked baskets of materials and bundles of wood along the outside side wall.

"Building," Veck said as he shrugged at me.

"Building what?"

"Bigger cottage."

"They're building a cottage?" I asked flabbergasted.

Veck nodded his head affirmatively and I grabbed his hand, steering him in the opposite direction of the construction happy cousins.

"They can play bob the builder all they want and
they
can live in it, but you're staying with
me
in
our house
."

I glared
at him, daring him to argue with me.

He gave me an indulgent smile and said simply, "Yes, wife."

Why do I get the feeling he's just humoring me?

His placating attitude did nothing to lighten my mood.

"At least have the decency to say it like you mean it," I huffed under my breath, pouting quietly until we reached the path that led to where all the women meet up for the day to start our chores.

Oh
, joy, today is laundry day!

Ugh!

I started to walk off without telling Veck good bye, grumbling some more unflattering mutterings toward the male sex, but he snatched me up and stole a heated kiss, not letting me go until I thoroughly reciprocated the gesture.

"Be good, wife," he tease
d, tapping me on the ass to get me going.

"Aren't I always?" I retorted saucily, full of sass, winking at him as I added a little more sway than necessary to my hips, sauntering away.

His groan and amused chuckle was music to my ears as I started my day.

"There has got to be an easier way to do this," I complained as I wrung out another garment by hand and passed it on to the next gal, so she could hang it out to dry.

"Afraid not," Dorothy said laughingly as she
wrung clothes out right along with me, giving me a crooked, commiserating smile.

It made me think of Bia.

Laugh lines creased her face, the good kind, showing off just how much time she spends smiling or laughing, which she's proven since the day I met her.

"So... three mates, huh?" the woman next to Dorothy chuckled.

It took me a moment to realize she was addressing her comment to me.

"Uhhh... nope. Th
e last two are delusional," I sighed and then remembered Dorothy was standing right next to me.

"No offense," I added
, shrugging in her direction.

Dorothy burst out laughing and I was thrown off by it, thinking she'd have been more likely to be offended on behalf of her nephew and son, not laughing like a mad woman.

"No wonder those two are so smitten with you," she chortled, wiping at her eyes, "You're going to run those two ragged."

"You mean, if I don't maim them first," I said frowning at her.

"Oh, I know those two and if you end up slapping one of them over the head, givin' em what for, I wouldn't be surprised in the least. Give one of them an inch and they'll take a mile."

She laughed again, ending on an exasperated sigh, pushing her long mousy brown hair away from her face with her elbow, her large blue eyes dancing in her expressive face.

I smiled and couldn't help the chuckle that escaped me as I shook my head at her.

"You're awesome, Dorothy, did you know that?"

"My mate says it every damn day."

We stopped to eat lunch and everyone scattered about, enjoying the warmer weather we'd finally been having lately.

I took advantage of a patch of bluish looking grass that wasn't
covered with snow or ice, eating quickly, hurrying so I could have a little time all to myself.

Once I finished eating, I set my things down, balancing my chin on my knees, staring out over the warm springs pool as steam rose up from it in frothy, white, misty puffs.

Someone sat down next to me and I glanced through the corner of my eye to see it was Bia.

"Did you mean it?" I asked him seriously, making sure I got to have my say.

"Mean what?" he asked as he settled himself closer to me and ran his fingertip along the seam of my boot.

"Any of it. Being my friend, the talks we'd have, secrets we've confided in each other... Was any of it real? Or was it all just a p
loy to get into my pants?" I stared down at my feet and played with a blade of grass, unable to make eye contact with him.

I was afraid of what I'd see if I looked at him.

"Every word," he said quietly, slipping my hand into his as we sat there, staring out over the lake.

"Good." I squeezed his hand a little. "I miss my best friend."

He cleared his throat and his thumb stroked along mine.

"I
miss mine too." He smiled at me, leaning down as if he was going to kiss me.

I put my free hand out in front of his face, stopping his advance.

"I'm still mad at you, ya know. You lied to me." I gave him a dirty look, but he just grinned and kissed the palm of my hand.

"Fair enough." He grinne
d, kissed my palm one last time and hopped up to leave.

"I swear! All of you are just a bunch of hard headed, stubborn sons of..."

"Ready, Mina?" Dorothy called, interrupting my little fit, "We're all heading back now."

"Yeah, I'm comin’
," I grumbled and hopped up to hurry towards her, not looking back to see if Bia had left yet or not.
