Mr. Leyson passed away in January 2013, leaving behind his wife, Lis; their two children; and their six grandchildren.
Dr. Marilyn J. Harran is the founding director of the Rodgers Center for Holocaust Education at Chapman University, where she holds the Stern Chair in Holocaust Education and is professor of religious studies and history. She is the author of numerous works and is a 2008 recipient of the Spirit of Anne Frank Award.
Elisabeth B. Leyson and Leon were married for over forty-seven years. She had a career as an English professor and administrator at Fullerton College in Fullerton, California. She retired in 2005 and lives in California.
