I turned again towards him as he stood there, watching me. ‘I think it's time to finish your drink,' I warned him, and without speaking he put down his glass. ‘Are you ready for this?' I asked.

‘Oh yes, Maddy,' he replied, ‘I'm ready. In fact I'm itching to get started.'

‘Okay then, my love,' I said, as I smiled at him just once more. Then I climbed onto the settee, took up a kneeling position and thrust my bottom high and provocatively into the air as I awaited the first, agonising stroke.
