He kissed her back, tenderly, sweetly.  “Well, if you can get my father to stop begging for grandchildren, that’ll be a good way to start.”

She laughed, kissed him again, and marveled about the twists and turns that had brought her there.  “Maybe I’ll start keeping another journal…. full of all the naughty ways I can show you.”

“Darling, I don’t plan on giving you enough time to write,” he promised, holding her close.  The party continued on in the house behind them, and they continued their own party there in the darkness.
