“You should consider a career change,” she muttered.

“I don’t think Silas is big on neck rubs. Not from me, at least.”

“I’m sure there are women in every space port who’d be more than happy to pay for your services.”

“Strangely, it’s not as much fun when it’s expected.”

Sara almost drifted off when she felt Davin tug the collar of her shirt back, exposing her neck. He bent down and placed a kiss on the bite. A shiver of awareness raced through her, making her nipples hard and her pussy damp.

“I can’t get you out of my mind.” His words were hot against her. Davin licked her neck. “Your smell is everywhere.”

Hissing out her held breath, Sara turned her face so she could rub against him.

“I’ve been dreaming about you,” she said and brushed her lips against his.

“Do I fuck you in them?”

Sara shivered.

“Do I?” He nipped at her neck.

“Yes.”

The admission was thrilling and terrifying. For the past two nights she’d been determined to get him out of her mind. But every time she closed her eyes, all she could see was Davin’s naked body. She’d rubbed her clit sore at the thought of him fucking her again. As much as she’d been annoyed with him, she wanted him more than before.

“Come with me.” Davin tugged at her shoulders to stand up.

“Where?”

“My ship.”

“Why?”

“It’s closer than your room.”

Before she really thought about it, Sara was on her feet and following Davin out the door. His grip was tight, almost painful around her hand as he led her down the corridors, through the crowds of the bazaar to the lift. As soon as the door closed, Davin threw her against the wall and began to kiss her neck. She ran her hands through his hair and down his back. She didn’t want to think about anything else except him. When he ground his hard cock against her, there was no doubt as to what he wanted to show her in his ship.

Davin grabbed her breast and rolled her clothing-clad nipple between his thumb and forefinger.

“You’re fucking ready for me already, aren’t you?”

“God, Davin, I want you so much.”

The computer quietly announced their arrival on the lower deck. Davin pulled away from her just as the door was opening. Sara prayed her face didn’t go too red as Davin led her past the group of engineers who were waiting to get into the lift. She heard their chuckles as the doors closed behind them.

“Shit, everyone on the station is going to know about us.”

“Good. That way I won’t have to kill every man who tries to touch you,” Davin snapped.

52

She had to admit, his possessiveness turned her on. There was something special about being his. She had the impression he didn’t let himself get out of control like this, not normally. The fact she drove him to it was a heady sensation.

The hangar bay was nearly deserted when they entered. The ship looked better than it had when they’d crashed, but she could tell it still needed a lot of work. Davin turned when they reached the stairs that had been placed for entrance to the ship, picked her up and threw her over his shoulder.

“What are you doing?” She gave him several hard smacks on his back and ass.

“Kidnapping the colony’s beautiful doctor. I plan on stealing you away so no one will ever find you.”

Sara couldn’t help but giggle. “But how are you going to escape? Your ship is broken.”

“I’m working on that part. It was an impulse decision.”

The air in the ship was cool and had the same exotic spice smell that clung to Davin.

He turned to press the door close button, letting Sara see Silas approach from behind.

“I’d offer to help you, Doctor, but I’m not sure if you’d take it.”

“Out, Silas. You can finish up later.” Davin opened the door again.

The engineer stopped by Sara and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “I never did properly thank you for fixing up Rafe. Or apologize for hurting you.”

“Thank you and you’re forgiven.” She tried to smile, but all the blood was rushing to her face, making it feel strange.

“Get out, human,” Davin ground out.

“Don’t let this Raqulian prick mistreat you, Doctor.”

“Out!”

Silas’ chuckle echoed in the hanger until Davin closed the door, blocking out the noise.

“Are you going to put me down now?”

Instead of answering, he continued to carry her down the hall. She couldn’t see much of the ship, except that it was small and cramped. Containers of goods, medical supplies and engineering parts were tucked here and there on the floor, forcing Davin to walk around them.

When they finally reached a door near the back of the corridor, Sara was sure her head would explode from all of the blood. Davin opened the lock, stepped inside and swung her from over his shoulder into his arms. The sudden head rush made everything spin, forcing her to rest her head on his shoulder.

“Welcome to my humble home.”

She looked around the small quarters and for the first time felt like she was seeing the true part of Davin. Most of the room was filled by a large bed. Light-colored furs covered it, and she couldn’t help but imagine Davin’s naked body lying under them.

53

There were candles placed around the room and she swore there was a hint of spice in the room.

Davin walked over to the bed and set her down in the middle of it. Sara couldn’t help but run her fingers over the soft furs, bending down to rub her face against them.

Davin growled, her gaze going to his.

“I’ve dreamed of seeing you in my bed.”

“It’s beautiful. I’ve never felt anything like this before.”

Discarding his belt and pulling his shirt off, he slid beside her. “On our planet, hunting is a rite of passage for our warriors. They prove themselves by tracking and killing an
atura
beast.”

“You killed this?” She wasn’t sure if she was impressed or disappointed.

He didn’t answer, only ran his hand over the fur.

“Davin?”

“No. I wasn’t a part of the warrior cast growing up. These were a gift when I joined the cast.”

“Which cast are—?”

He cut her off with a kiss. Unlike before, his kiss softened into a gentle caress. His lips suckled hers into his mouth as his tongue flicked across the captured skin. He was able to distract her completely with his mouth, so she didn’t feel his hands on her uniform, opening the clasps that held it in place. The air in the cabin was cool against her heated skin, making her nipples pucker more than before.

Davin lifted his head and let his gaze travel over her exposed skin.

“You are perfect in every way.”

“Shut up and kiss me.”

Sara pulled him back down, holding his head with both hands. The spark of desire between them exploded into a full-fledged firestorm. Davin ripped at her lab coat and uniform, stripping her roughly, frantic to get to her skin. Sara groaned, ignoring what he was doing as she tried to undo the fastenings that held his pants closed.

In a matter of minutes, he was pushing her back against the furs on his bed, running his hands down her naked body.

“You’re so tiny,” he whispered, placing a kiss in the middle of her stomach.

Sara giggled and felt the blush creep across her face. “You say the sweetest things.”

“You need to eat more.”

“Davin!”

He nipped at her stomach. “You go days without eating. Probably forget. We need to change that.”

“You brought me here to talk about my diet?”

“I’m scared I’d break you.”

54

“If you don’t stop talking and start fucking, I’m going to leave.”

“We can’t have that now.”

Davin hooked his hands under her knees and pulled her thighs wide open. With a gasp, Sara looked down between them. His cock was hard, jutting straight up, pointing directly where she wanted it to go.

“Is this what you want?”

His question jolted her. Sara looked up and into his confused face. “Of course.”

Davin didn’t answer. The muscles in his jaw clenched as he thrust forward, filling her completely. His breath came out as a long, slow hiss, and when he finally opened his eyes, Sara swore she saw them glow.

“Do you trust me?”

He’d asked her this before. But this time it was different. Somehow
he
was different.

Sara’s heart began to race and her nipples began to ache.

“Yes.” She wrapped up every emotion that was racing through her at that time in that one simple word.

A smile flitted across his lips before he nodded. Slowly, he pulled his gloves off, revealing the pale skin, covered in tattoos. Each time she saw them, she felt like she was seeing something, secret, forbidden.

“Give me your hands,” his voice was low and it rumbled as he said those few words.

One by one, Sara laced her fingers through his before he held them down against the bed. He hadn’t moved his hips, but she felt her desire building stronger than it had before. Davin leaned forward and rested his forehead against hers.

“Keep your eyes open. Look at me as long as you can.” He let his lips brush against hers. “Can you do that?”

“Yes.”

Davin pulled his hips back, nearly pulling his cock out of her before he slowly thrust back in. Sara had to concentrate to keep her eyes open and focused on him. Again he pulled back almost to the entrance of her pussy and, with a single thrust, filled her.

Every inch of Sara’s body began to shake under the sensual pressure of his slow assault. She kept her eyes open, now unable to look away from the intensity of his eyes.

Davin filled her once more, but this time he stopped. Every inch of her skin was touching his naked body. His cock stretched her, sending shivers through her.

It was then she felt it. Sara’s hands began to tingle, lightly at first until the sensation traveled up her arms. Her eyes widened and she flexed her fingers. Davin’s gaze never wavered, though the muscles in his jaw began to flex and she could feel his breathing increase.

“Davin?” her voice barely audible.

“Just feel.”

55

The tingle crossed her chest, caressing her breasts and making her nipples harden.

Her pussy began to tremble, the muscles tightening around his cock. Sara had to concentrate on breathing, her eye lids drooping.

“Keep looking at me,” Davin whispered and ground against her.

Sara forced her eyes wide, focusing in on the war she saw Davin waging with his body. His golden eyes were growing large, wide, more like a cat’s than a reptile’s, as he trembled. Now everywhere he touched her she felt the buzzing, the growing connection between them increasing in intensity. Her clit felt like it was on fire and all it needed was a single touch for her to explode.

And then he moved. It couldn’t have been more than half an inch, but the sudden, raw intensity was almost more than she could handle. Sara gasped and tightened her hold on Davin’s hands. She knew she couldn’t hold on much longer.

“I’m…Davin!”

She couldn’t look away now even if she wanted to. His thrusts grew faster, erratic in his movements. Sara’s pussy was drenched, her cream soaking both of them. Finally, Davin ground his hips hard against her clit and she shattered. She cried out as her orgasm exploded from deep inside her body. Davin’s cries joined her almost instantly.

Shaking and breathing hard he came deep inside her.

After that she couldn’t see anything. All she could feel was the steady beating of their hearts.

“Oh my god,” she tried to swallow past the rawness of her throat. “Oh my god.”

“I’ve never…just amazing.” He placed a kiss on her forehead.

Sara wanted to say something more, wanted him to know just how special he’d made her feel by sharing this, sharing himself. But the words that came to her mind were nothing compared to this.

Davin rolled to the side, keeping her locked tightly in his arms. With her head on his chest, she was lulled to sleep by the steady beating of his heart.

Somewhere in the back of her mind, she heard her communicator beeping. When she opened her eyes, she had Davin wrapped around her, but he was sound asleep. The steady beeping told her it was an emergency and she really had to get her ass out of bed and see what the problem was. No matter how little she wanted to move, Sara somehow managed to extract herself from his iron grip. Davin moaned and reached for her, but she whispered softly in his ear and kissed his cheek, lulling him back to sleep.

Grabbing her uniform as she went, Sara prayed Silas and the rest of the crew had left the ship. The last thing she wanted to do was give them a free show. It only took her a minute to get dressed, slipping her boots on last and walking as silently as she could down the corridor and out of the ship. It wasn’t until she was standing in the hangar bay that she flipped open her communicator.
