at the end of the ten days, and again every two weeks to track specific health changes.
Get tech-savvy.
There are a lot of smart new products and apps that are built to help you quantify and track your activity and progress. I encourage you to use these. You can share and compare your results with others and get support for your success and a nudge when you are off track. Some of my favorites are FitBit and Withings Pulse, which wirelessly sync to your computer and smartphone, and UP by Jawbone, a wristband that records your physical activity and hours of sleep and connects to your iPhone for easy tracking of your numbers. The FitBit Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale or the Withings scale and separate blood pressure cuff automatically sync up data about your weight, body composition, body mass index, and blood pressure with your profile on your computer and smartphone. Online programs such as heartmath.com and quantifiedself.com offer other great ways to stay accountable and also to tap into a like-minded community.
