Day 3 Journal Questions

How am I feeling physically?

What changes do I notice in my body?

What thoughts and emotions are present for me today?

How often do I generally go to the bathroom? (Check in with yourself and take stock of your usual elimination habits.)

Do I generally drink enough water or get enough fiber in my diet? If not, what changes can I think about making?

If I am eliminating regularly on this program, how do I feel as a result?

Day 4: Move

I started at 209 pounds with high hopes for good health. My initial blood work uncovered that I was anemic, which only gave me more of a reason to eat better. Over the past year, I was constantly out of breath and my heart would pound whenever I tried to do any physical activity. The first two days on the treadmill were tough; it was all I could do to finish a mile in thirty minutes. By Day 10, I was walking at 3 mph and up to 1.5 miles in twenty-five minutes.

I literally watched my health return, and for that I am very grateful. Today I am down nine pounds and four inches off my waist and hips. Simply amazing after only ten days—with no cravings, no lack of food, no deprivation.

Morning:

Take your measurements and record your results in your Detox Journal or online tracking tool. Also record how many hours of sleep you got the night before, and the quality of that sleep.

Begin the day with thirty minutes of brisk walking or other exercise.

Just before breakfast, take 2.5 to 5 grams of PGX fiber: 3 to 6 capsules or ½ to 1 scoop of the powder in 10 ounces of water.

Take the rest of your supplements with breakfast.

Make your Breakfast Detox Shake (see menu plan below).

Optional: Enjoy a midmorning snack (see menu plan below).
